Dragonsoul5000's video about the unknown code and other subjects related to TLoS: • New TLoS Discoveries -... - เกม
All of these years and I had 0 idea that DotD had cheat codes. Wow.
Same
There's videos uploaded years ago and forums talking about it, I've already known the game had cheat codes.
Wow, I can't believe that TH-cam didn't recommend me this video before, like, seriously. It's so nice to see people talking about TLoS in 2023, and it's even nicer to see that some people are actually interested in my discoveries and sharing them! That's really good, the more visibility, the better! Although in this case I guess a Disable HUD code and an unknown code aren't really useful, haha. It's just neat to know that they exist. But what's funny is that you can see in the Wii/PS2 demo video (the one that plays when you wait too long on the Title Screen) that the devs used the Disable HUD cheat since you can't see the HUD in fights, where it should always be present, or when elements are used. And in the Xbox360/PS3 demo video, it's not the Disable HUD cheat that is used, but clearly the Infinite Mana cheat ; if you watch carefully, when they are using elemental attacks, the mana never decreases!
I gotta say, you did a really good job. You explained each code very well, and we can clearly see that you did your research and tested them beforehand. Bravo!
Also, after all the splicing drama, Trixy (aka Kasumi or SpyroCynder FansForever) deleted/set to private most of her TLoS videos. It's quite unfortunate, but I kinda understand her choice. She got way too much undeserved hate and I can see why she wants to put TLoS behind her. The little TLoS content left are mostly speedruns for other speedrunners to use as reference. She was the best, even better than me, but couldn't record everything in one sitting because her phone kept overheating, so she had to splice her runs. But splicing is considered cheating and is banned from SRC :/
I loved using unlimited mana. Sadly makes infinite fury borderline useless once you find the dark armor, but its a life saver in some levels where you have limited mana crystals, like defending the gate in Warfang as you close it.
they would've come in handy years ago, my 10 year old self never managed to actually beat the game💀
Was a fan of this back in the day, didn't know they still dug up these codes till now...
Thanks, it's my absolute favorite game and I didn't know cheat codes like this existed for years.😂🎉
I wish I had found this out when I use to play this game heavily.
Planning on revisiting this game soon, this will come in handy.
Cool!
Thanks bro for the cheats
I had no idea there was cheat codes 😂
would this work on an emulated version? i have the PS2 version of dawn of the dragon emulated with PCSX2 on my pc.
I also wanted to know
yes, they do still work on emulated versions
It's literally the same game, being a ROM doesnt change anything.
I am a simple furry I see a video about Spyro I press the like button
Bro please help me it didnt work on emulated one... I have it on aethersx2 on my phone
I'm not familiar with doing it on a phone. But make sure to input the code with the control stick and not the d pad
What could have compelled you to make this in 2023 😅
This has already been done many times, not really necessary.
So everyone is going to cheat to beat the game? What about playing honerably? or the best you can?
A lot of people use cheats only AFTER beating the game once to simply mess around, push the game to its limits or just for fun. Speedrunners and glitch hunters like me often use these cheats for practice or testing purposes. For exemple, Infinite Fury allows to practice Fury-related glitches without needing to refill the fury bar every single time. It's extremely handy! Cheats are also really nice when you need to go through a part of a level quickly to test or demonstrate something further into said level.
And what's wrong with those who want to use cheats to beat the game casually? People can play the game however they want, and if they're having fun with cheats, who are we to stop them? Unless it is a competition with strict rules (like speedrunning), there is nothing wrong with using cheats that the developpers purposefully left in the game for players to use. After all, said cheats were also used by the developpers when testing the game and when recording some of their gameplay footage!
