    What do you guys think of the Hunter?

    • @nikitis13
      @nikitis13 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agree, it probably has some type of restrictor. these 350's seem to hit a brick wall at that particular speed and feel as if they are held back... It would be interesting to see if a tuner can sort something out. You'd probably want something in reserve for overtaking. That's it's one drawback and the service interval will probably come around sooner than you'd like with tappet adjustments. Great for servicing yourself though.

    Got one and with a few miles on it its loosened up nicely and goes well, I'm fairly light so the bike easily gets to an indicated 80 but yeah it is slow getting there after 60. In truth 99% of the time on UK roads the bike feels great.

      It's currently a bit cheaper too atm.
      I mean yeah you're getting less but you're paying less.
      As you say for 99% of most people's riding this bike goes quick enough.
      The 0-60 is slow but really most of the time people just set off at a steady pace. My bike will do it in 4 seconds but I'd imagine usually I do it in over 10.
      I always thought I needed something fast but the reality is i only ride as fast as I'd drive my car. So at this money the bike is ideal for my needs.

    I'm really tempted by this bike.
    Reason is the price. £3683 on the road.
    It will hit 80 on the Speedo and keep 70 on the motorway.
    Ok I can't over take everyone I come across but the price😀
    I like the look and its fast enough for me as a commuting and Sunday b road bike.
    So I will ignore people who have no interest in buying one harping on about it being slow.
    I mean yeah for 2 grand more I can get something that does a ton. But been there and done it.

    CEAT Limited (formerly, Cavi Elettrici e Affini Torino) is an Italian brand of tyres. At one time the brand was owned by Pirelli. Just like Royal Enfield, it is now fully owned and manufactured in India.

    With the greatest and without any wish to be offensive, please.....when talking about the 'Rider Triangle' do mention your height, particularly around the issue of rider comfort. Unfortunately, manufacturers have to factor in a 'nominal rider height' when calculating the 'Triangle'. I suspect that 6ft ++ is on the outside of the calculation, certainly on many small/smaller bikes. Thank you for the review.

    O.K. here's the thing R.E. is trying to market this bike and the Classic in other markets then the U.K. or Europe that don't have the Euro 5 regulations and that lack of power is what's holding a lot of riders from buying them . Some one needs to convince R.E. to bring back the 500 cc bikes and up the horse power in the 650s as well to somewhere around the mid 60s for most 650 cc bike that the norm .

    6 foot and 3 inches = 191 cm ,, that does sound a little to big for a bike firstly marked for the indian market.. The average height for indian men are 5 foot , 7 inches or 170 cm.. the meteor and the classic are slightly larger and better for European size..

      @BikeMatters  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Classic was a much more manageable size. Thanks for the comment!

  • @BobfmBali
    @BobfmBali ปีที่แล้ว +2

    A tachometer is only any use if you don't have a gear shift indicator. Your height is a big decider in this review;over 5'9" is probably going to be a problem. I have a Classic buying the Hunter for no other reason more that I like the look of the aluminium cases but hate cleaning. I love the Meteor also but as I'm buying a SM to ride in Europe. And the Hunter to ride in Indonesia.

    Iv a hunter its not a perfect bike, could realy use anouther 10 mph and it heats up a bit in real hot weather. But it does get great mpg as long as your your diong 55 mph. Mpg drops fair bit at higher speeds. Handles great and just has alot of charicter.the one thing i flat hate is the sericeing. U basicly have to do a valve adjustment every 3 to 5k miles wich for a daily driver that sucks. But if u dont mind that its a great bang for the buck bike

      I’m on a 30 mike a day commute so that’s what put me off the enfields and their service intervals
