I have to make a confession to make to this community. I am a fraud. I have been going to Renaissance Faires while roughly 1/3 of my costume has included items which are from the 17th century. I always told myself, "some historian's consider the 14th to the 17th century to be the 'long renaissance'" but I know in my heart that's not honest and it was just another excuse. I wasn't ignorant to the rules, I chose to break them and wear items that were not period appropriate and for that I am sorry. I hope that in time people will find it in their hearts to forgive me but I understand if they can't.
Oh, Blake. You are just dressed so snazzy. I tried to get my Karl to dress up for the renaissance fair back in ‘66. You remind me so much of him. He would have just adored you!
Hey, I am an old friend of Karl. He told me you forced him to go the Ren fair, and he was just pretending to enjoy it. Also back in 68' the work trip he went on was actually Woodstock and he screwed around with many girls and consumed drugs
Fun fact: People who don't dress up are called Patrons. People who work there and have to dress up are called Players. And people who dont work there but come in garb, cosplay, and costumes, are called Playtrons.
So weird this came out a day after I went to a renaissance fair with my brother who did not dress up I don’t understand why he thinks he is better than me
I understand no one likes be recorded, but it's odd how the plainly dressed people aren't embarrassed of walking around the fair. But yet are lowkey pissed that they get asked about it and ignore him. That's worse than going to an anime con without a costume on tbh.
Funnier than I expected. I went to one once in high school and I didn't become obsessed with it like the other nerds who kept going back for multiple years even after high school. Your questions were on point but maybe you were a little too nice about it. Go back with the tomato guy from Ross' video and take turns grilling people in your inquisition!
I don't dress up I just were nose and Vikings clothing everyday as normal day use. Clothing. It's comfortable easy to wear and in summer linen is amazing
Remember when we learned about the middle ages in school? (I'll let You be the comedian in this masquerade, sir Red Hair Dude. Complete the exercise.) Ignore the anti-northern South Asian sentiment or try to edit it out: Is there any doubt as to whether Lord of the Rings is a revamp/repackaging of the story of Excalibur which expects to be aware of The [observation-based principle of the] Archaeological Process? Is there any doubt as to whether we made things which others would discover *Because* our prediction was that they would lie about it to their kids and say that it's their parents'/tribe's/family's history? Is there any doubt as to whether religion is a way for the wealthy to ensure that rebellious people die once they choose to propagate chaos? The problem is that the more that we respect "these northern South Asian cultures", the more harm it does to them. (Yet they're too stupid to notice when they die because of our actions.. do they truly believe they are simply moving on to their soul's next body? It just seems like it might be more ethical even to properly "put the individuals out of their misery" rather than to kill them by "respecting A Culture Which Is Theirs". What gave us the right to kill them like this? It's so awkward. We're actually killing them like this. They are really doomed from birth. They think they are constantly following the most recent command of a god who is always changing its mind. WHAT'S GOING ON HERE? WHY IS IT TELLING THEM TO DISREGARD SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND TO WASTE THEIR RESOURCES? DO THEY REALLY HEAR ITS VOICE? WHAT IS IT? WHAT IS THIS NON-UNDERSTANDABLE THING WHICH IS ALL THEY EVER TALK ABOUT (GOD)?) The statement made by the Georgia Guidestones is [ONLY] that the Guidestones *are Making* a statement. There is not much else needed in the equation. Please don't interpret the following as a statement: the Guidestones are a description (or actually something more fundamental/elementary than a description) of "an apocalypse" (each of those guidelines is enough to be an apocalypse (Crime is normally: "something which is 'driven by' or occurs as 'a note in the symphony' of 'the [political/spiritual/biological/conceptual] movement' propagated by those obeying the guidelines on the Guidestones". The purpose of the [construction of and all conversations about the] Guidestones is help make it possible for members of mankind/biology to describe/record/report crime, which may seem impossible to any 'scientists'/detectives who are trying to determine whether it's possible for historical accounts/nations/courts/schools/literacy to exist. Admittedly, the New World seems like a "savage place", where even schools are not federally regulated and teachers' political presence is observed as being a clash against conservatives or a contaminating, and even "Trotskyist" unification which may be disagreed with or argued against). Even spoken languages (not only written language and literacy) are all at risk
real, i go all out at ren fairs, but ive never been one to be annoyed by people not dressing up. i get this video is a joke but it had me cringing the whole way through, these spaces are meant to be enjoyed by everyone without weirdos like this guy being all up in your face
God...they seem like such nice people. It's frustrating because I would have just straight up said that I don't have an ounce of respect for you or for whatever you're doing and walk off. Even if I didn't mean it.
This looked very nervy it’s not mandatory to dress up for a Ren faire . Also it’s not disrespectful to dress out of culture at the end of the day it’s just a bunch of people dressing up and having fun and again you don’t need to dress up ti be at A Ren Faire
The interaction with security was like a movie.
Called em out, that's what they deserve when they trample on our constitutionally protected right to RenFair it it up in proper attire.
“Do you think you’re better than me?” “Hmmm” best answer he could have given
This was so moving and eye opening. Thank you shedding light on this issue Blake.

I forgive you.
This is a tough pill to swallow
3:20 If awkwardness had a teat, Blake was milking for maximum yield 😂
WOW! Blake spoke to a guy that worked with the mayor.
Causing me physical pain from the awkwardness, you go King🤴
"Modern garb" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 i love terminology that i dont hear enough
Would you ever do this to me?!?!?
Oh, Blake. You are just dressed so snazzy. I tried to get my Karl to dress up for the renaissance fair back in ‘66. You remind me so much of him. He would have just adored you!

i can’t tell if this is a joke or not..
They came, they saw, they conquered… simple as

Your content is fucking fire Blake. Asking the real shit people want to hear.
I understand no one likes be recorded, but it's odd how the plainly dressed people aren't embarrassed of walking around the fair. But yet are lowkey pissed that they get asked about it and ignore him. That's worse than going to an anime con without a costume on tbh.
This is hard hitting journalism
That one upset security guard was definitely picked on in school
aw a couple of the ladies had braids and leaf crowns so there was a little of that spirit :)
I just couldn’t afford a whole outfit lol
Dang, i have a whole speech written about why i think I'm better than him but that's one of the reasons i wasn't at the rennfaire that day
The nerve of some people.
Ah, I see you dressed up as sir Gingus Mingus
Surprisingly hard hitting piece. Pulitzer Prize anyone?
0:45 I'm so so sad that guy's joke got interrupted, the delivery would've been perfect.
I respect the grind man. I hope you have a good video.

Funnier than I expected.

I want "What gives you the right and what makes you think you're better than me" on a T shirt
I don't dress up I just were nose and Vikings clothing everyday as normal day use. Clothing. It's comfortable easy to wear and in summer linen is amazing
WHO DO YOU WORK FOR ?
"We live around the area"
Thy nerdeth is dapper
“Are you a twitch streamer?” He does bare some resemblance to Wubby
The woman at 1:30 is hilarious and i love her
the only thing stopping me is money

Can’t afford it because of high Kali taxes.
People like this guy make me not want to go. I get these are joke but they’re not funny. Ruining experiences and being harassed.

Those ppl ruin everything bro
How rude of you to make people feel like they should have dress up. Do you want people to come to this or not.
I’m so mad I was there twice and didn’t even see you
Blakey is my favey
God...they seem like such nice people. It's frustrating because I would have just straight up said that I don't have an ounce of respect for you or for whatever you're doing and walk off. Even if I didn't mean it.

Welcome, from the Mayor's attorney.
That one where she asked if you're a twitch streamer had serious Kyle Mooney vibes. Bravo!
Not good enough
Are you referring to your own comment? If so I agree!
don't harass people
