I feel your frustration! I have a Red Angus who’s still open after being with our bull for two summers. After pregnancy check next month, we’ll either have her harvested or sold. Open cows are costly too keep!
Rather off question from me.. have oyu ever considered shaving the highland cows in the warmer months to say use the (hair?) to make thread or something along the lines of yarn for the making of blankets or the sorts?
My jersey wouldn't come back into heat after her last calf. She got an injection to cause her to ovulate and had a beautiful full heat with successful breeding right away. Hope you can figure it out. Feeling for you!@@ThorHavenFarm
Sadly, she probably is going to be a liability going forward. She has had every opportunity to get pregnant and hasn't. Even if she does get pregnant, any heifers she has will carry on those genes for infertility. You can try selling her but if you are not completely honest about her issues it's not fair to the buyer, unless they just want a pet.

It's hard sometimes eh!
So, what you are saying, is that we will never stop building something, replacing something, etc. wouhou!
LOL True!
I vote to harvest entirely, wall mount and rug
That would take up a wee bit of room!

Brigitte has been brushing and collecting the hair. Seeing if we can figure out a way
I knew you weren't giving up! You get right back on that horse and keep moving... or right back on that cow...
LOL Thanks dude!
Sending positive vibes your way D & B. Lots of considerations.
Thanks so much!! Hope the fishing went great!!
Thank you for sharing so those of us who are saving up can know what to expect. Always knew it’s not easy; good luck to you mate!
Thank you so much!
With the rising price of beef the cows will only get more valued.
Very true!
Does she have heats???
She seems too have but not lately

That's unfortunately it. We would have to tell a buyer, we like having a good reputation to sell again
