I like the tip about the Chain foot and the #1 needle! Thanks Mike!
great video and tips Just bought the Accolade so this was good for me to see. Thanks!
Thanks, exactly what I was wanting to know
When using the the chain stitch do leave the machine in m and length 3
Thanks Mike!!
Can you serge with a quilt 'sandwich' top, batting and bottom fabric?
Do you go through a lot more thread? This would be more expensive than a regular stitch, yes?
Just wondering if there is any reason to use a serger instead of a regular machine when one has the option to use either...
I'm guessing one reason would be that you'd never run out of bobbin thread. Other than that, I can't think of any other reason.
@@sandyhearth8249 It is lots faster serging than sewing
I like the cleanliness: no threads to hand cut.
Why use 4 threads when 2 work?
I agree you just want to join the pieces and the edges will be inside the quilt
so why use up all that thread ?
@@knittingknut Some may not have the capability on their machine to do a chain stitch
It seems like 4 threads would be more costly and make bulk. His machine can definitely do 2
