I personally wouldn't remake the drawers. The alternatives I see are to patch the drawer holes with dowels and redrill, or flip the whole drawer box around and use the backside as the front. You just may have to re-notch for the undermount drawer slides.
Take the face and the rails off, flip the drawer around, back to front, rails back on and then put the face on with the screws out of your way?
That’s a hack job…
The under mount drawer slides my new cabinets came with and the Blum ones I purchased have a notch cut in the back underneath of the drawer back for the slide to run through. The cutouts don’t show when the drawers are installed but would need to be cut out if the drawer carcass is rotated 180°.
It’s not a ton of work but it does take a little extra effort. Also two holes, one for each slide, need to be drilled for the finger on the lines to slip into. And the latches need to be moved also. (Assuming these cabinets use a similar under mount design)
As a kitchen installer and cabinet refacerI would invest in the SH Drawer Jig that just self centers drawer holes by itself. No measuring. 1 drawer would take 1 minute or less saving you time and money. I would just use the jig you have for doors only.
Remove the drawer fronts, countersink the screw heads on the backside, mount the handles and re-attach the front back onto the drawer.
why?
I’ve used the true position jig for the past few years now. It is expensive but it’s high quality and made in the US. Can’t recommend it enough!
Same here.... one poorly drilled hole can cost you as much as the jig.... more than worth the price in my mind!
I hate those drawer pulls, they snag on your pants all the time.
Yes!! They're the worst.
I installed them for a customer once and while getting up, one of those on a lower door caught my pocket and pulled the inside lower hinge out of the wood. You just stand there with a torn pocket, a door dangling and hanging from the top hinge and the customer looking at you. "No way that just happened"!!!
Just renovated our kitchen, cabinet builder DEFINITELY suggested to avoid these for this exact reason.
And I thought I was big time when I bought that $20 jig at H.D. 🙄 😐 😑 😶

I was thinking, Why did he upload this again? I forgot that i already watched this on patreon.
Not seeing it. Newest video on Patreon is the The Hidden Pocket Door Video, at least from my end.
There have been 4 patreon only videos uploaded since the pocket door video.
A few years ago Mrs. Cuss decided that the 45 drawers and cabinets in our home "needed" handles. Since I was spending about $150 on handles, I bought inexpensive guides from the hardware store, one for cabinet handles and one for drawer handles. All went smoothly.
Does your wife ever call you Handyman??
Yes.
Yikes

😂😂😂😂😂😂
If the bolts you have are to long a pair of wire strippers usually has threaded bolt cutters.
Screw the bolt in until you have the right length. Squeeze really hard. Then when you unscrew the bolt the threads get cleaned up.
The odd top drawer with the big hole, use washer on the screw head?
Hey handyman. Check out the drill doctor drill bit sharpener. Great little tool saved me a lot of money buying new bits all the time!
Ur teeth in the thumbnail!!! 🤣💕👏👍
LOL. Thanks for noticing my hard work.
😂😂 I was like "man I never realized his teeth were that bad. Dude must dip snuff all day".
😅😂🤣
I love your videos. I wonder if we would get along in real life, but I think youre awesome. Im a newish father who just taught himself how to do these things about 4 years ago not even knowing how to drive a screw straight. Now I have a small "buisness" that continues to grow. I always am happy when you have a video demonstrating what I am searching for. We all make mistakes, I know damn well you aint ashamed of em. Keep rocking and god bless
Many years ago we bought a home under construction. When the kitchen was being installed, we asked that they not install any cabinet/drawer pulls. We were going to shop for something we liked and install later. Well, the genius contractor didn’t install them, but he drilled holes in all the cabinets for cheap round wood pulls 🤬.
Ryobi is better than Dewal lol
I just saw some very nice Dewalt batteries at The Home Depot.
Why did you shaved your mustache 😢😢😢
So you can see his teeth! Didn't you notice the thumbnail? 😂🤣
It comes from CHINESE. 😂
on the three drawer left of the stove, id have indexed the pulls to the top of the drawer at the same depth as the top drawer so the pulls are higher up
Finally exposed!
🇺🇸🤘 Heck Yeah Handy Dandy 🤘🇺🇸
Expensive mistakes.
Get a Ryobi Drill, LoL
I don't understand the hate for Ryobi. I've got a bundle of their tools, for the past 25 years. Never had a problem.
Plug 'em up with a couple dowels/glue and re-drill. Those faces should've been screwed on at each "corner" and not 2 "centered" like that. Oh well, glad you found a fix!
14:00 "Let the customer HANDLE it", LoL
I was installing cabinet hardware once and asked the customer To verify the position (they had been very picky throughout the entire project). After verifying the position and installing then handle, I was looked at with horror and told that was the wrong spot.
I’m over it now but had cabinet handLE PTSD for a minute lol..
This sounds really nitpicky, but I would never put any tools or hardware on top of a customer's stove (unless I had a cardboard or board over it). Even if that one would be okay there are others it wouldn't. Just get in the habit of 'never put tools on this thing'.
use a washer
I make my own as I need them.
Bondo. 😁
Since 94 I have always used just a tape measure pencil and a punch to drill for hardware. I still love those fancy templates only because I make a lot of money replacing doors by installers who have no idea how to use them.
Glue a dowel in the “too big” holes. Then drill the proper sized holes. That’s what I do.
try flipping the drawer face upside down? Holes might be clear then.
I just hope that ceiling light gets thrown out off camera. Better on camera though. It's offensive. Call me the lone ranger's horse. I'm triggered.
4:03 If only me and the girls had this for assembling IKEA furniture!
“Coulda let the customer HANDLE it” 😂
8:48 Ryobi guys don't use a foo foo template. We just use a tape measure.
Customer could go with a different door pulls??🤷♂️
Fill the olds with a wood plug (Toothpicks) or make the hole larger to drive in a wood dowel.
Good job. Learned something.
Why not drawer knobs?
1:43 My granddaughter laughed!
in and out like a straw hat
Sawdust? What sawdust?
Aren't they just #6 screws? Can't you find some decent ones @HD, or say, McMaster-Carr?

Hi . From Algeria
I was literally just looking at prices for that DeWalt 20v vac!
The filter clogs pretty quick and looses it suck. I need to find a source for better filters.
I kinda just want it to clean the dead bugs out of my tiny cabin
@@TheHandyman1have you tried a bag? I am using them unless its liquid.
for the battery powered vacuum? I haven't. I will look into it. Thanks for the suggestion.
I use a cover (sock) over the filter and also a bag. I really like the Dewalt because it’s AC/DC.
That Jig is $300
You can find Chinese versions of that jig for less than $100. I have the cheap version and have done probably 50-60 kitchens with no mess ups yet 🤞
I was looking at ones in the $50 range that look pretty similar on Amazon.
Can you take the drawer front off and plug the holes with dowel, then put the front back on and drill for the pull? That would save for remaking the drawer. Guess it probably depends on the customer though too if they’d be ‘disappointed’ with that..
Man you’ve got to be kidding me. That’s 3 day install.
Not sure what your are talking about.
@@TheHandyman1 I install kitchens for a living. I’d be broke if I took as long as you have on this. Demo. Install. Trim it. Get out.

He's probably getting paid well enough to take time along with the floor he put in
Increase your prices and you only need to do one a month.
You forgot that this guy works in TH-cam land normal time lines don’t apply to him. Everything is a dramatic surprise and might be in stock at a local store.
Fake handyman
Fake commentor
Why?
Those long handles look kinda goofy on the little drawers. I think I would have gone with the single screw T-shaped drawer pulls that match these.
Looks like either 1000787768, 1002932177, or 1003325369 would be a match to these handles. (Home Depot SKU #s)
It takes what it takes Handy. HandyOn!
Does the business video teach me how to make Mo' Money without spending any of my money?🪛
