Vettel had an amazing 2008 but it should be noted that Torro Rosso were one of the few teams not focusing on the 2009 regulations. By the end of the year they probably had the 4th or 5th fastest car while red bull had the 8th because Newey said he stopped developing the car after Malaysia. When 09 rolled around however they came last in the constructors while red bull finished second (with Vettel at the wheel).

I really feel he was a different beast and definitely changed mentally in recent years. I know everyone likes him now but for me I liked him way better back then
Vettel is very well rated. He has 4 world championships. Lewis has just desensitised everyone to the significance of one championship alone. 4 in a row is only beaten by Schumacher, and matched by Hamilton. He's in good company
Question: were Seb’s Red Bulls more dominant than Lewis’ Mercedes? If no, his record of 9 back to back race wins are significatly more impressive than most give credit for
Vettel set a number of records of course in his young career (some of which have been beaten), youngest points scorer, youngest pole sitter, youngest race winner, but one record he set before he got to Red Bull he won't be smiling about. In the first official Practice session he participated in, filling in the role of third driver in place of the the then newly promoted Robert Kubica in Turkey 2006, he almost immediately sped in the pit lane. This was 6 seconds into his first run in an official session, a record. The penalty he received was a fine in the end
@@formula2tom225 indeed, one thing baffles me in retrospect. Can we get a full " BMW in F1 " video, in the greater scheme of things, they are an engine supplier that left the sport not to long ago considering we still have a driver that was associated with them on the grid, e.i Vettel
12:37 In Bourdais' defense, he was overall closer to Seb than you might think, and the only reason Bourdais didn't score more points was due to an awful luck with reliability, because he could've been 4th in australia and even could've fought for a Podium in Monza.
@@MalcolmTann0 His 2015 saw a lower midfield TR fighting with competitive Ferraris in the wet at US. His 2nd race he finished ahead of both Bulls. Easily the most talented RB driver along with Seb.
I hope the people who started watching F1 from last 2-3 years will watch this video and realise how talented & legendary Seb is!!!💚 He deserves more Respect 🙌
Lewis is my guy, Seb dominates like no one else. When he's in the best car, no one can touch him, I'd love to see an imaginary F1 team with the absolute best car over an entire season when this team's drivers are Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher. I'd watch an entire 23 race season of just that alone.
I think a little more credit needs to be given to that toro rosso car in 08, pretty much a carbon copy of the redbull + ferrari engine made it arguably better on some tracks. Ofc vettel is amazing but that car was no joke
If he wins Aston Martin he will win for the fourth team thinking about Toro Rosso is a different team from Red Bull and then you have Ferrari and maybe or hopefully Aston Martin
I saw something interesting. There is a Seb interview around the 9:00 Mark of this video. There is an Italian woman on Seb's right shoulder. She was his press officer....it turns out she also ended up being Max's press officer at Toro Rosso around 7 years later..and she has had the privilege of working with 2 WDCs while they were Infants(in f1 terms)..as a Toro Rosso employee.
Seeing kids these days disrepect Vettel makes me kinda angry ngl They will never understand how insanely fast he was And that STR was soooo good looking
Vettel was for a long time a great driver, but started dropping off in 2018. If you compare Seb and Kimi from 2015 to 2018, Kimi came much closer in 2018. I think Vettel was the best driver in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017.
my theory is, you can only drive as fast as you can think, that's what has always separated Seb from the rest since day 1.....Genius is always revealed early, I think Lando is the closest to him of the young guns....
Recommend you an interesting idea for a video- what if Michael Schumacher and Ralf were teammates in Ferrari or Jordan , why not in Williams also? PS: Why actually they weren't in real life?

Abu Dhabi 2010 2.0?
@@Firebolt1729 absolutely I want that to happen this season again.
It's hilarious how delusional the slow seb fanboys are🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@tropicaltree1196 what do you get out of replies like these my guy
After what you've seen last year do you expect Seb to be a championship contender? He became an average driver, it's time to face it.
Really great content! Very well made!
I really feel he was a different beast and definitely changed mentally in recent years. I know everyone likes him now but for me I liked him way better back then
VETTEL IS UNDERRATED.
No one can change my mind.
Vettel is very well rated. He has 4 world championships. Lewis has just desensitised everyone to the significance of one championship alone. 4 in a row is only beaten by Schumacher, and matched by Hamilton. He's in good company
@@Frank-jg4tq 13 in a 16 race season and 9 straight, Hamilton never came close to that :) plus winning 2 titles at the last race.
@@formula2tom225 Lewis has won 2 titles at the last race
@@ia303 not 2 in 4 years though :)
@@formula2tom225 true, but I don't see how that's relevant.
Question: were Seb’s Red Bulls more dominant than Lewis’ Mercedes? If no, his record of 9 back to back race wins are significatly more impressive than most give credit for
no merc from 2014-16 were definetely more dominant. just compare the pole positions from 2013 to 2014
Lewis’ 2020 car was by far better than Seb’s 2013 car.
The penalty he received was a fine in the end
true, somehow he overcame it lol
@@formula2tom225 indeed, one thing baffles me in retrospect. BMW clearly saw what he was doing, probably saw his potential and his easy going working relationship, why did they persist with Heidfeld and Kubica? When Red Bull called him up to Toro Rosso to replace Scott Speed, in retrospect I feel like it was a case of slipping through their fingers
@@SiVlog1989 I mean the only thing I can say in response to that was Heidfeld was a very quick driver back then so they probably felt no need to replace him. But I get you a team of Kubica and Vettel would have been fantastic
Unfortunately, many say he only won WDC because he had the best car. And since 2018 he hasn't been in top form
Since 2018 halfway through, the consistency has somewhat faded off. He can still perform at the highest level, like in Monaco, Baku and Turkey 2020. Hopefully the consistency returns though.
Can we get a full " BMW in F1 " video, in the greater scheme of things, they are an engine supplier that left the sport not to long ago
considering we still have a driver that was associated with them on the grid, e.i Vettel
12:37 In Bourdais' defense, he was overall closer to Seb than you might think, and the only reason Bourdais didn't score more points was due to an awful luck with reliability, because he could've been 4th in australia and even could've fought for a Podium in Monza.
12:58 Fernando Alonso laughing in the background
Do a video on Max Verstappens debut season in F1 in 2015.
What the point he didn’t do anything
@@MalcolmTann0 What do you mean? He was amazing
I think the Verstappen- Sainz rivalry in 2015 would also be good
@@MalcolmTann0 His 2015 saw a lower midfield TR fighting with competitive Ferraris in the wet at US. His 2nd race he finished ahead of both Bulls. Easily the most talented RB driver along with Seb.
@@adityanarain9428 whatever bro Hamilton won 4 races and lost the championship by 1 point in his his season how about that
Damn...seb content flowing like a river...what more can we ask for?
4:20 " omg he on X-games mode "
I hope the people who started watching F1 from last 2-3 years will watch this video and realise how talented & legendary Seb is!!!💚
He deserves more Respect 🙌
No
All of that BMW imagery looks so aesthetic.
I dare any driver to break his "Fastest Penalty Awarded" record. I double dare ya
Great video, great content.
I think a little more credit needs to be given to that toro rosso car in 08, pretty much a carbon copy of the redbull + ferrari engine made it arguably better on some tracks. Ofc vettel is amazing but that car was no joke
11:08 5 sec penalty with modern rulebook
Yessss more Vettel content :)
SEB TO MERC CONFIRMED😂😂
If he wins Aston Martin he will win for the fourth team thinking about Toro Rosso is a different team from Red Bull and then you have Ferrari and maybe or hopefully Aston Martin
"Van Der Drift" lol
Seb one of the GOATS for sure.
Long before Seb, Dan Gurney gave three different teams their maiden win. Porsche, Brabham and his own team All American Racers.
Imagine if it was seb who moved back to redbull instead of perez in 2021....
Seb Aston Martin win loading in 2022
Luck be with us 🤞
Lewis was the first driver whose junior career was well documented every driver after him had a well-remembered and documented one
Seeing kids these days disrepect Vettel makes me kinda angry ngl
They will never understand how insanely fast he was
And that STR was soooo good looking
Yes love this type of content,
Vettel is the most likable driver indeed.
back when being test driver gave you almost as much experience as being a main driver
Vettel was for a long time a great driver, but started dropping off in 2018. If you compare Seb and Kimi from 2015 to 2018, Kimi came much closer in 2018. I think Vettel was the best driver in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017.
What about P4 in brazil
He mentioned it
my theory is, you can only drive as fast as you can think, that's what has always separated Seb from the rest since day 1.....Genius is always revealed early, I think Lando is the closest to him of the young guns....
I'm here immediately after his retirement announcement.
My hero
My driver 💙❤💚
Recommend you an interesting idea for a video- what if Michael Schumacher and Ralf were teammates in Ferrari or Jordan , why not in Williams also?
PS: Why actually they weren't in real life?
i want the flash to change the timeline to where kubica is healthy and alonso did not go to mclrn
Can anyone please link the Fuji '07 Fan footage I can't find it
