      That's not event close to the old full size jeep truck. This so called new jeep truck is a disgrace to jeep and the old jeep trucks. This new jeep truck looks like they took a jeep to a body shop that makes limos and just did a stretch job . For about 5k you can get your jeep stretched and it would be alot better and only 10% the cost of a new jeep truck. Google a pic of the old jeeps and you'll see my view about this .

    The most honest part of this video is their shift in opinion. Going from wanting a basic Jeep as a lifestyle vehicle to wanting a Rubicon that they will offroad is something that sadly most owners dont understand. People have always bought Jeeps because they have always been a trendy vehicle. But they can offer so much more of a driving experience if you're willing to just try.

    If they build a regular cab / single cab like the J6 concept but with a V8 plus a manual transmission I’ll buy it tomorrow.
    Even better if they fitted it with an Raptor like high-speed off road type suspension setup so I can do jumps in my two-seater, regular-cab, short-bed, manual, V8 Jeep truck that’s also a convertible... sounds like my perfect ride!

    So, I'm not going to read through all 514 comments, but from what I can tell, nobody has mentioned this yet:
    At 5:56, Yuri said that his one buddy pointed out that if you put drywall in the bed, it'll crack from sitting on the wheel wells. That might be true, but if you use the features in the bed that you can see at 5:52, your drywall should be fine. Look on top of the wheel well. See that little indent that's about the size of a 2x4 piece of lumber? Lay said piece of lumber flat from side-to-side. Also, see the little vertical indent just behind the wheel well that's about the size of a 2x6? Stick a piece of said 2x6 in there vertically from side to side and BOOM! Instant drywall shelf. Jakub, check your Raptor. I bet your bed has similar features.

      I think the Gladiator measures about 45" between the wheel wells...it sucks that they couldn't make it just 48.5" to accommodate people who haul sheet goods. It's the primary reason why I will never buy any midsize truck.

    I've just recently started watching your videos, and one thing I've noticed that I really appreciate about your reviews--is that they're positive. Sure, most cars aren't perfect, but despite that, you find the good in the vehicle and focus on that rather than the bad. I've seen a lot of channels that are constantly negative, and it's gets annoying to watch. So, kudos to you guys! Keep up the great videos!

    This is for the city folks who go out on the weekends to take photos to show they are outdoorsy, while needing enough room to haul their kayak once a year. A real outdoorsman who needs a rig gets a wrangler. A real truck owner who needs to tow and haul would get a full size half ton

    • @quinnhowlett697
      @quinnhowlett697 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      MrWaffleBrainz this is for city folks? Nah, this is for the people who want a great all around truck, it tows a decent amount, more than any other mid sized truck, it wheels good, and you can take your kids to soccer or whatever, it does it all...

      @@quinnhowlett697 I never mentioned the word country person. I'm saying if you want an off-road rig you get a wrangler, you want to tow and haul everyday you get a full size. You live in the city and go off-road or tow once in a blue moon you get the gladiator, and your comment saying how the gladiator is an all rounder just proves it more

    • @quinnhowlett697
      @quinnhowlett697 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      MrWaffleBrainz the gladiator being an all around truck doesn’t make it a “city” truck... people can have more than one vehicle, you can actually use the gladiator as a tow rig to tow your wrangler to the trails, and on days where you want the family you just wheel with the gladiator... the truck doing everything has nothing to do with city or country, it has everything to do with the application that people want to use it. Want to throw some hay or straw in the box? You can throw it in the gladiator, you can use the gladiator as a farm or work truck too... I think you’re just trying too hard to be that country bumpkin who thinks real country folks have a big lifted diesel for everything smh...

    A serious contender to the Tacoma. It provides all the necessities for a great mid size pickup and great off road capabilities that Jeep is known for. Finally there is a mid size truck with a solid front axle that appears to have good ride quality and doesn't make any apologies for being a true off roader. I've always been a Toyota fan, but if Jeep has brought some reliability to the market with this package, watch out Toyota.

      Dude, the 3.6 has been around for decades at this point, they aren’t bad motors at all. The newer 8 speed transmissions are much better than the 5 and 6’s were 10 years ago. The biggest worry you could have with this car is electronics, and that’s just a FIAT thing, but honestly not that huge of a deal.

    • @jackrotter9434
      @jackrotter9434 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      And besides, the aftermarket for jeeps is 2nd to none. You can customize it in whatever way to suit your needs. For a stock vehicle the approach angle is very impressive, don't know what you are talking about...

    • @RickZackExploreOffroad
      @RickZackExploreOffroad 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The approach angle on the Gladiator is the only 0.5 degrees less then the JL. The departure and break-over is where the big difference is. The departure angle is really not an issue because you'll just drag the skids.
