When someone says it drives like a Jeep, don’t take that as a con. The fact it drives the way it does, it’s attractively scary. It handles like a tractor, you feel the road under you even with big tires. Going around a corner the body roll feels humorous. Even going the the grocery store is an exciting drive... it’s addicting. And then on top of that, the reactions you receive from hikers and side-by-side owners while you’re in the middle of no where on a 4x4 trail that you shouldn’t be able to do, but it just does it no problem... it’s priceless.
I love my 4xe! It drives like a dream. That electronic charge could last a little longer than it does but what can you do. 😎

You made the best choice you could. The 4xe is nothing special. Your jeep will run for a lot longer than a 2.0t Chrysler hybrid power train.
I want to by this but in like 3 years when they work out kinks and have more power, I feel like that is going to be perfection

Just came across your channel. Loved this vid. You two dudes have great personalities and covered a lot of stuff. One thing I love about the 4xe is that there are quite a few USB-A ports in the front and back, making it super easy to charge devices or use devices for passengers especially.
Great production as always guys. Would have liked for you to cover the most important aspect of a hybrid car and that is l/100km.

I have a 2018 JLUR & it’s paid-off, so very hard for me to justify the 4xE economically. I still like where the tech is going in that in-town errands can be done w/o gas.

I had the first version of the sun slider top in my Liberty. It was so nice in the warmer seasons, but a slight bummer I had to get aftermarket roof rails if I wanted to put anything up top.
I have a ‘21 Jeep Cherokee with the 2.0T, and it is a blast to drive. The torque just pulls it along nicely.
I like more cars going hybrid but this Jeep feels like it needs to fully commit

$65,000 at my local dealer I’ll keep my taco for now if Toyota doesn’t respond within the next 3 years I’ll start contemplating the idea of owning a wrangler. I’m ok with it being Chrysler since Chrysler doesn’t get involved much with jeep, great video btw and great idea on having the batteries under the seat jeep always thinking about off roading before anything else!

Are you joking? The diesel is the slowest engine option on the new Wranglers for 0-60.
Not at all instant torque. Takes forever to spool. Shit motor, we replace at least 1 a week at my dodge shop. Turbo is trash too. Trash fuel economy and not fast on the highway. Rubicon have to be some of the most poorly made modern car ever. Enjoy your water leaks and shit highway ride my man!

Pretty cool that they hid the battery under the seats. As for the comfort? It doesn't matter. The second row isn't comfortable to begin with
They should have made a range extender with motors to each wheel and have twice the power and way more range per tank.
That would've cut into the ICE systems, and put on some weight. Not to say it isn't a bad idea though. Personally I would be all for it as an upgrade like "4X4E" or something along those lines.
@@ViperPilot16 the way its been done these days with a motor between the engine and transmission could provide way more power without the need to complicate things up that much.

Great idea by Jeep in installing the batteries underneath the back seats.
Still would rather sit on a battery pack vs a gas tank. 💥 typically a battery fire allows you time to escape, a gas fire not so much.

Jeep is claiming that every model is getting a 4xe or EV version by 2022. The Renegade and Compass already have 4xe versions in Europe, and the Grand Cherokee 4xe has been officially confirmed. So that only leaves the Cherokee and Gladiator.

Other car makers are competent enough yet, tesla just has the lease. Give it 5 more years and other peoples products will start becoming viable

I got really excited from the thumbnail, and felt slightly cheated that it's a hybrid and not a full EV. FCA certainly has the technology to make an actual electric Wrangler. It's long overdue.
They should call the all electric Wrangler the "Jeep Wrangler EV4". It's nickname could be "EV4"

Electric Motors and Jeep - It's beginning to make sense now. Tremendous torque and silent with minimal emissions for that precious territory you are exploring.
All of that for just 24 miles. I've been driving a 4xe for a week and the range you get is the same as a scooter or an electric board.
jeep wranglers were burning long before having hybrid batteries - don't worry.

How do you feel about sitting on a battery pack? Well, for my whole life I basically sat right in front of a chemical battery pack/bomb, aka gas tank. So it's about the same as that.
