The Relocation is a true story about about my family going into the Witness Protection Program 50 years ago. My father's business took a turn for the worse and he had to borrow money from loan sharks. This is based on his diary & my personal memories.
Winner of the 2021 Telly Award for Documentary.
****This is the latest version of my documentary with new music. My old version had copyrighted music from other motion pictures and as much as I loved the music . . . trying to get copyrights would have been unbelievably expensive. So for now I have used a music library that lets me use royalty free music. Going forward I may have music especially composed for the documentary.***

This was an incredible story Marc. Growing up is hard enough without being put through all that uncertainty. Glad you're still here! ❤

My brother also attended Ponderosa High School, class of '73. Our family moved from San Francisco, which was its own culture clash, & I can only try to imagine how difficult things were for your family. Thank you for sharing your story, Marc.

That's a good question Jason. One thing that I did not mention in my film is that in the years that followed our "relocation", I wanted to forget all that happened. It was very rare that I asked my father any questions. In hindsight now I wished I did. The only thing I know is that Morty and his family went into the witness protection program also. Wherever they went . . .whatever happened to him . . . I don't know and I believe that my father lost contact with him after we left for California.

Thank you for sharing your story! We rarely ever get to hear from the perspective of the children who are thrust into witness protection. It’s certainly a story of resilience and I’m glad you’re here to tell it!

Your story is very heartfelt. I live out in Somerset just outside of Placerville. I can only imagine what y'all had to go through. That had to be hard emotionally for all of you and definitely had an impact on your lives.. I'm glad you shared your story with us. It made me cry sad and happy tears for you and your family's situation. But glad to see that you have survived and shared with your children. I moved to California from Houston Texas 42 years ago. I love it here and Somerset is my forever home. Keep true to yourself and stay strong. God bless you.

Unfortunately I cannot answer that even after all these years. I also did not mention the last names of these guys. Gotta protect the living as they say.
