Love this! I think Korean skin care doesn't really focus on hard hitting actives for acne, because in Korea, if you have acne you would go straight to a dermatologist or esthetician or even a "skin clinic" and a professional would help you out. Koreans' approach to skin is VERY cautious and professional help for conditions like acne are way more accessible and vary in prices.
Zymogen hottunya chordata serum has had better results for me and some of my acne prone friend other than retinoids xx
So my grown woman friend, over 40, just recently told me about the black charcoal acne mask from Mary Kay that you can use as a spot treatment. She swears by it. She said if you feel like a zit coming on under the skin where there's nothing you can do about it yet, and you put adopt of that mask on it and like go to bed you'll wake up in the morning and it'll be healed up. I'm about to order it. Because I'm over 40 and that shit drives me crazy I'm like come on are you serious.... Lol.
And I figure if it works that good my teenage daughters will love it.

That pyunkang yul essence toner is a holy grail for me, i love it and ever since i started using it I've never wanted to stop. I think ive gone through about 10 bottles total hahaha
What changed did you notice or what issues did it help with?
@@poweredman I find it really calming and hydrating for my skin. My skin is really sensitive so it stings and gets red easily. As well I am prone to eczema and acne. So my skin is annoying but this toner has helped calm it!

I'm 53 and never really used anything on my face. I've never had any issues with my skin..and for my age, no wrinkles yet (really good genes run in the family) When I used foundation (25+ years ago) I used Vaseline to take off my makeup. Oh...and never used sunscreen!! About 10+ years ago I started using organic unrefined coconut oil, to take off eye makeup and used it as moisturizer. About a month ago I came upon your videos, 2 weeks ago I got a collection of stuff you recommended (mostly K-beauty) and I love how my face has changed in such a short time. I'm still learning, keep up the good work! Thank you for all you do 🤗❤️

Purito...just dropped on yesstyle their newest hybrid spf. It's awesome! Still light and creamy, doesn't sting my eyes and no white cast. Leaves me a lil shiny at first until it sinks in.

I usually order my k-beauty products on Yesstyle and have nothing to complain. I just had a look at the Amazon offers and the prices are ridiculous. I would never pay those amounts of extra money. Yesstyle is much cheaper and they do ship internationally (I am in Germany). Why would anyone choose to pay more? The only downside of Yesstyle is the long shipment time but if you know that in advance and order in time, there really is no problem. #teamyesstyle

I started using PYUNKANG YUL toner about a month ago & I noticed changes in my skin a few days in. I put 4 drops in the palm of my hand and put it on with a fingers all over my face & that's more than enough + the bottle will last me forever. I cannot recommend this enough :)

Isoi acni Dr.1st speedy spot and Nots Centellascar ointment are kbeauty products i'm currently use for my oily and acne prone skin. So far so good.
The klairs gentle black cleansg oil feel rich and take time to emulsify. But the new klairs fresh black cleansing oil feels light and emulsifies effortless.

I tried ordering from YesStyle and while the prices are better I waited over two months because my first order was not delivered. They where really Kind in replacing it without an issue and it got delivered then but waiting two months is too long even for my taste. I live in Germany/Berlin and so I don’t really understand the trouble they always have. Ordering from Amazon is a little cheaper than ordering from retailers we have here in Germany but I will still try to order from German/European retailers before Amazon because…it’s Amazon. However I‘m glad that there is an option to others to receive kbeauty. 👏

Argh The frustration! Maybe we do have to make some sort of international Skincare swap and co-op. If you don’t mind that I ask, which country is it that is so difficult? I tried to source products from Amazon that are available internationally and in most countries, but of course there is going to be someone that they have to leave out! So frustrating. I’ve been using beplain’s bamboo hydrating ampoule for the ceramides and my skin adores it. I add a couple of drops to my Hada Labo milky lotion (I got into Japanese skin care before Korean brands became more available) and my skin is so soft!

Hi Cassandra, maybe you could do a international skincare haul from different countries, Ive seen some makeup youtubers do this where they send a certain amount to some of their followers who then send them as much skincare as is possible from their country. A Korean sunscreen the right get on Amazon that I love is the Missha sun milk! I would recommend it if you like a satin-natural skin finish :)

I currently only use Korean cleanser and moisturizer - one is from Heimish, and the other is from Benton. I'm still patiently waiting for Purito's new sunscreens. Can't wait to try their chemical sunscreen! Hopefully it isn't as expensive as its older sunscreen. I'm not a huge fan of spending more than $12 for a skincare product. Japanese and French sunscreens are much more affordable now. I also cut out many "unnecessary" products so i don't contribute a lot of waste to the environment, and more importantly, my pocket is happy. Korean skincare products are very accessible here - thank god i live in Asia - but their sunscreens are just getting way more expensive, so i don't plan to buy any Korean sunscreens.
I love that Purito water cream. It's the one time I preferred the scented version though. It smelled like the sea! It was magical! It's still good now of course, but smells like nothing 😕

I would recommend to try Indonesian skincare if you can get your hands on them. They are really good and some of them are on par with K-Beauty items. Some of my faves are For Skin Sake (super awesome sunscreen), Somethinc, Avoskin, Studio Tropik, Lacoco.
I found that pyunkang yul brand and bought the toner on amazon sometime in the past year and I was like...oh..this looks like a great product...but is it really or am I just loving the price? Then I saw you talking about it & I knew it was a good choice.

Big fan of korean skincare. You might want to check Skin&Lab Vitamin C Brightening Serum - thats also quite good (but probably you may already know about it). Another one of my favourite skin hacks: iunik propolis eye cream as my main moisturizer (alternate with the centelle eye cream from purito). I also really like the propolis ampoule 15%. (normal skin with oilier t-zone - meaning my t-zone shines "bright" by afternoon). Speaking of european brands, I am also a big fan of Nourish London skincare and SVR. I am also obsessed with the isntree hyal suncreen and the Heliocare ones. (also I like Cliniccare 13 hours one and the Evy 50+ - both are swedish - which have the best technology for suncreens). You have to test the Heliocare 360 sunscreen line! My dermatologist recommended it (Germany) and I love it! I think you will too

I had very bad acne problem after my second baby and the only thing save my face was ll the products of "Some by mi"
My biggest issue buying on Amazon is it is difficult to determine a verified seller. Fakes run amok on there, and some of the pages look legit but are not. So right now I never buy beauty products on there.
The isntree HA essence is DA BOMB! and it's a huge bottle. I used it twice a day and it lasted me at least two months
I just got some great products from Amazon!! I finally got some k beauty!! I got three products from Pyunkang yul! The essence toner, a spot treatment and the low pH deep cleansing foam! I can't wait to try them! Thanks for the recommendations Cassandra!!

hey Cassandra, I recommend that you try some of the products from PH Formula! My esthe uses them in her clinic and I love their exfo cleanser and SOS cream. Never thought I would happily pay almost 60 US dollars (of my limited student budget!) for a cleanser but I have been using this for two years now. I think it is a Spanish brand.

And there are more websites and retailers other than amazon who provide thankfully, but there is no Sephora anymore here in Holland for instance, which baffles me😳 But it's not just K-products, many other brands are also unavailable (at least from where I live) like US brands and Japanese ones, which I'd really love to try. Cyrille Laurent is a French skin care channel. A lot of derms recommend products from LRP and even Avene. Some recommend products from Vichy like their vitamin c serums but yes, they aren't considered cruelty free.

Does the be plain cleanser have any actives? I use a salicylic acid cleaner and a hydrating gel cleanser. Looking to maybe replace the gel one so wanting to still have a hydrating gentle type
I would Love to hear your thoughts on my favorite hg K sunscreen I get on Amazon for about 4 years now. Missha Essence 45 PA+++. I’m 48 and that’s my sunscreen, moisturizer and eye cream lol. All in one. I rarely use other products under it, this is basically my morning skin care routine. Auto delivery every 3 weeks. PS the Daily 50 is Highly sented, I do not recommend it. And the consistency is different as well.
I would like for you to give me your opinion on the strive Vechten sunscreen! The one that I used was a sample and it was a lot like a primer. It was rather silicone however it did not burn my eyes and it set beautifully under make up. Thank you! Love you from the dragonfly to the butterfly ♥️

For Oily skin have you tried Missha’s All Round Safe Block Aqua Sun Gel SPF50 PA++++ it’s also Korean and it’s the best. It leaves your skin Matt and smooth like velvet. Definitely recommend 👍🏻
Hello Cassandra, I was wondering if you could share the possible switches you are going to do in your skincare since we are changing the season (northern hemisphere end of summer and entering fall/winter ) I know you have a video about it the importance but I feel slightly lost with the taking action (like not knowing what to change from routine or add, ) , Also !!! I’ve been sharing the knowledge I’ve learned here with mother (55+). Who literally bathes under sun for years and years without spf (sun considered the best solution to any skin problem for her). Love your videos Cassandra 💕. Unless you’re a “skintellectual”, how many products can one put on their faces without breaking out? Do you use the same product until the bottle is empty or can you use a different toner lets say every other day? I have a oily t-zone with dry cheeks. Currently using Adapalene at night and Paula’s Choice BHA 2% during the day without any issues. My maskne has been resolving but otherwise I think my skin is not sensitive at all. Very interested in trying K-beauty especially if I can get them from Amazon😁. Love you 😘
