Trying to decide between the TVS Apache RR 310 and its identical cousin that nominally wears the German badge? Get the TVS. No doubt about it at all. Three things. First, not that the TVS is inexpensive -- it's never been great value for money from the start -- but the BMW's pricing makes as much as sense as having a fridge in Antarctica. These are both expensive machines and the BMW being identical to the TVS makes the price impossible to digest. If this is unclear, the short version is -- do not buy the BMW. Second, that high BMW price carries over to service. They treat you very nice at BMW Service for sure, TVS isn't even in that ball part experience wise. But paying nearly twice per service and higher prices for the same part? The fridge in Antarctica is full of frozen food, as it were. Third, the ground clearance is realistic despite it being a sportsbike. So don't worry, the RRs will do most of what you plan to.
