I personally think that Noob Saibot in MK1 being Bi-Han and Kuai Liang's father would make the most amount of sense. That way we both get a fan favorite character back with an interesting twist, but also keep Bi-Han alive for once to explore his character and give him more growth, such as having a redemption arc with Sareena ala Mythologies, but with the roles reversed as she became good in Ashrah's canon tower ending, all of which I think would be very interesting to see and be a breath of fresh air and not go back on the same things all over again

The idea of Noob being the father that was killed by Bi-Han is probably the best one, it brings back noob perfectly, Scorpion remains training with the Shirai Ryu, (Maybe even see a team up with Noob to defeat Bi-han) Hanzo grows up to become Takeda. Works out great that way and gives a solid explanation to why Noob is in the game along with Takeda and it resolves the story between scorpion and sub zero

There was a leak a while ago, like in october, that Bi-Han will still become Noob Saibot in story DLC (which is already confirmed to be in development by Ed Boon), due to some green goo thingy Shang Tsung used to control a Dragon Army, while Hanzo Hasashi will take up the mantle of Sub-Zero within Shirai Ryu. And Bi-Han will become Noob Saibot and will still be the Grandmaster of yet to become Cyber Lin Kuei
Speaking of, I really hope we get playable Hanzo in a future dlc. But I wonder, does Hanzo have fire powers in this timeline? I don’t think it showed in smoke’s tower ending.
On Steam, Takeda is referred to as "Takeda Takahashi" so Hanzo wont be Takeda for this timeline.
I do like the idea of Noob Saibot being the father. That would be dope as an interaction.

I think the young Hanzo at the end of Smokes could be Noob Saibot. Noob Saibot would be his nickname while having his traits. He was wearing a black suit in that ending, so that might mean something too
Rage of Hanzo with shadow powers would make one hell of a new noob saibot, especially if he has a fight style like Kenshi whereas the shadow comes out and fight along side him

I see a lot of possibilities with some of these theories, but my favorite one has got to be Bi-Han and Kuai Liang’s father becoming Noob Saibot. However, I think Smoke becoming Noob Saibot could work too since they were working together in Mortal Kombat Deception.

Personally my thought for noob saibot was that he would be Hanzo but not dead and he just had an amulet or something that gave him the powers

Since Hanzo is already part of the future Shirai Ryu leaving the spot still open for possible interpretation of something else like another Bi Han or someone completely new.
I like the father theory, but I would also really love Hanzo being this game's Noob Saibot. I didn't catch Season 1 Invasions, but went through the recap and it seems like there's a lot of room for it. Skorpion finds that one of the few timelines that exist where Harumi lives is one where she ends up with Kuai Liang. While that timeline was saved from the outsider Skorpion, what if that timelines Hanzo was killed and becomes Noob Saibot? It sort of completes the 'change places' style that MK1 did with Bi Han and Kuai Liang by having Hanzo taking Bi Han's role as Saibot.
It would make sense too. Since he died in MK11, it would be cool if a timeline (controlled by Shang Tsung/quan chi/shinnok) resurrected him as a revenant
I think the most exciting, most different way would be your idea with them bringing back the grandmaster that sub-zero killed off. Because in this new era they’ve been doing alot of bringing characters that you either never see or that youve barely ever saw into the main stage. Like how they did with Jerod. You never saw him but always heard of him, now he’s ermac which is really cool imo.
Mabie the new red ninja, will be sector and ermac will not be a ninja anymore.

I do kinda like the theory of Noob being from another timeline. I can imagine the interactions between this game’s Smoke, Bi-Han and Kuai Liang.
Though the possibility of Kuai Liang dying and becoming Noob does sadden me a little due to this perhaps being a direction that can be taken, but it’s a cruel yet interesting idea. Instead of Bi-Han dying, his brother dies instead.

I love the idea of Noob being the father as well, the interactions there could be all sorts of amazing, he would also find common ground with Ermac/Jerrod.
Reptile and Noob are my favorite two MK characters. I only play Reptile and havent even thought about switching to anyone else. I would be perfectly happy for Noob to come back as a Kameo so i can play both

I think new Noob will be Enenra, since Smoke is now Thomas, and there's now a leaked "pure-black" Enenra mentioned in the files.
Smoke has always been Tomás though. It's possible but I don't think they'd go that route since the point of giving him smoke powers through study and not the enenra demon was kinda like his big change.

I think your theory with the grandmaster (good guy turned evil) makes sense but I think they are still gonna end up making him scorpion because hes already known in the story and it would be that "big twist" for a lot of casual or new players who dont know much about MK outside of recent games
I believe it could be Titan Noob, from his Mk11 arcade ending, or Titan Shang Tsung kills his Sub-Zero, and he turns into Noob
There was an interesting comment that was said in the MK 11 Kombat Kast that hinted who’s in control, the character or the shadow. It’s not impossible for Noob Saibot to be the shadow itself that needs a human host in order to gain a physical form. If NRS really wants to get spicy, Enemra, the demon that possessed Smoke in the reboot (the reason why he has smoke powers), could be that same shadowy creature who finds Smoke to be the perfect vessel. We’d get both ninjas in the same game, Smoke would have his own story, and we’d get another Noob-Smoke combination

the other theory I believe is that Hanzo could be Noob Saibot. In every cutscene he appears in (Smoke's ending, Scorpion's ending) he's wearing black, Noob Saibot's colors. This could be a red herring, but worth noting.

I think it would be cool to see Bi Han not actually die, but maybe learn some dark magic and become Noob while still alive. And have a mix of ice and shadow powers. Like black ice.
What if Noob Saibot returns as an "Enenra" and then basically kills Smoke and reaps his spirit using him as another way to physically manifest and since this is a new timeline there are more possibilities and we get a Noob-Smoke 2.0

Personally, I would quite like for Bi Han to be "happily" alive. That would be kinda nice.
If you do Mileenas Enhanced Roll Brutality on Sub-Zero, right before he dies he says "I'll be back".
Just food for thought.
Also Sub Zero could easily die in the DLC story.
So many opportunities with the Lin Kuei in this timeline. I think the most interesting route would be killing Kuai Liang, making him Noob Saibot, and having him struggle with his humanity. In turn, this would pass the Scorpion mantle to Hanzo, and possibly lead to a redemption arc for Bi Han, as he would have to confront his revenant brother. This allows the potential for Bi-Han to regain his humanity and become a hero- which would truly be a twist on Bi-Han’s traditionally selfish history in the MK games.
Edit: I believe if it comes down to killing Bi-Han or Kuai Liang, the logical choice is to kill Kuai Liang. Not only because it is a fresher idea, but because Hanzo exists in this timeline and can inherit the Scorpion title, whereas there are no Cryomancers mentioned that could replace Sub-Zero (minus Frost, who has no mention in the story).
I have a theory that could possibly cannonize the arcade ending, mobile game and continue with the first story.Towards the end of the story Bi han teams up with Sheng and Quan chi to try to control the dragon army. In scorpions arcade ending Qwai defects from the lin qwei, starts the shi ri ryu and find Hanzo to be his successor. My thought is that Bi han finds a way to double cross Sheng and Quan chi to control the dragon army. After he gains control of the army he realizes that Qwai defected from the Lin qwei. Bi han and the dragon army ambushes the shi ri ryu. In the battle Bi han accidently kills Hanzo instead of Qwai. Hanzo is sent to the nether realm. Quan chi finds Hanzo and manipulates his anger for his revenge towards Bi han's betrayal. Thus making the arcade clip canon. This way none of the MK1 characters need to be killed off to bring back Noob. Thats my thought. Huge fan of your work!
Man I recently found a lot of love for noob i main scorpion pretty much in every game but in mk11 I recently got super good with him maybe even have more success than with scorpion even so I really hope he returns
What if they make him like the venom symbiot and have it possessed but not kill Bi-Han as to leave the door open for a uncorrupted Bi-Han to come back.

Yes! Thank you! I always say that, Bi-Han was a good guy in mk mythologies, he’s my favorite mk charcater. I really hope they explore bi-han as sub-zero and maybe a path to him and scorpion making amends. There’s a lot to do here. Also if you kill off bi-han, who takes the mantle of sub-zero? Kuai liang takes the mantle again? lol so he gets ice powers and scorpions powers, so then he becomes mk 1992 reptile lol
I hope Netherrealm goes with Noob being Bi-Han and Kuai Liang's father. I love the whole family aspect going on in the Lin Kuei.

It's probably just going to be him dragged from another timeline they wouldn't overcomplicate it for a simple DLC they save the overcomplicated stuff for the main story
Having noob saibot, his shadow and the cameo will have some interesting triple team moves
If I had to make a very educated guess;
* MK1 Aftermath launches
* Kuai Liang is killed by Bi Han
* Hanzo takes over as the new Scorpion
* KL comes back as Noob
I think one of the sun zeros that was killed at the pyramid but the timeline was screwed up so the body got left in the mk1 timeline and quan chi turned him in the noob saibot
My idea would be that hazo being the student of kuai is killed and returns as noob. Having each character still playable is the outcome I foresee
Bruh the story and gameplay have nothing in common. We saw Sindel dying but we still have her in the roster
Off topic but I got the shrine complete message on mk1. I don’t ever remember running out of stuff to unlock before in a MK game.

I really like it being sub's father idea.
Back when we didn't know if Scorpion was going to be Kuai Liang or Hanzo Hasashi, I came up with the idea of a bit of a rotation of roles. With Sub-Zero being Bi-Han (Ex: Noob Saibot), Kuai Liang being Scorpion (Ex: Sub-Zero), and Hanzo becoming Noob Saibot (Ex: Scorpion) as like a total change of roles. I know smoke's ending will probably de-confirms Hanzo becoming Noob saibot, but just a theory I had a while back and I'm still slightly hoping that to be the case even though it's not likely to happen.

The one that I think will please the fans more would be Kuai Liang dying and Hanzo becoming Scorpian again or Tomas dying becomes Noob and Hanzo becomes Smoke ( I know it doesn’t sound right but is something that could be explored )

The thought of Smoke becoming Noob is actually a plausible one because as stated in this video, "even though Mortal Kombat 1 is doing a lot of new stuff, they're also treading a lot of familiar ground." What if that familiar ground were towards a similar direction of the MK: Deception tag team of Noob-Smoke, but becoming one entity in itself? It's "something new, but treading the familiar ground." Great thought, but the next question would be how do you present the roster or would be like MK Trilogy where both human and Cyber Smoke were both playable (adding to the familiar ground)? This theory has actually peaked my interest.
I hope he is from a different timeline because Bi-Han Sub-Zero vs. Bi-Han Noob Saibot would be AMAZING to me
I think the idea of Noob Saibot being Bi Han and Kuai Liang's father is *perfect*
It'll show a whole lot of great emotional moments of the Lin Kuei family, like Kuai Liang and Tomas Vrbada having a sappy time to see their father back (even though he's undead), show more growth around the new era, and maybe give Bi Han a redemption arc (though it is a 50/50 chance). Other than that, would be glad that Noob Saibot returns! Alongside other kombatants (via. Jade, Kano, Hotaru, and a lot more)

Ok, so noob being bi-hans father, I like this, like you said though, becoming noob typically means you are corrupted, what if bi-han did the right thing in letting his father die and he keeps what happened to himself to protect his brother and not besmirch his family name, that would be such a twist and it would also fall in line with him not killing hanzo’s family(being wrongfully accused, or audience only knowing half of the story. Bi-han is a very tragic charcater).
I mean, for the ending cutscene of season 3 invasions we kill bi-han. We literally see him explode. Thats my theory at least
Noob is gonna be the new scorpion Kuai Liang, current sub zeros brother. In smokes storyline ending Hanzo is introduced as smokes apprentice. That’s my guess. Seeing as NRS said they can and will change champions/kameos on the fly I can seem them reworking scorpions kit to compliment Hanzo as scorpion.
Bi Han isn’t a villain. He just takes his methods to the extreme for his clan, he’s just power hungry which is leading him and his clan down to a dark path. He just wants the best for his clan.

I see a couple theories in the comments about Noob Saibot being Bi Han/Kuai Liang's father, But it could also be their GRANDfather, referencing the Sub-Zero/Noob MK11 intro when Noob says "Then disown my name, 'Sub-Zero'." and Sub-Zero tells Noob "The name was Grandfather's first".
Bi-Han bringing their dad back as Noob would be something else IMO.
Sub-zero's ending implies that they are going towards the cyber initiative.
Any future members of his clan? It's likely going to be cyber ninjaso I don't think noob is going to be in that category

There was talk about Bi-Han becoming Noob Sabbot in the Titan Havok
I think this would be cool. Quan chi summons an ink demon and while he does smoke is sent on a mission to see what he’s up to and right when noob is summoned he needs a body to inhabit so he jumps to Smoke and becomes noob smoke again to have a throw back to MK Deception. So we could have a hybrid fighting style with a bigger karambit and now smoke/noob has black smoke and doesn’t have to use smoke bombs anymore the smoke is now pouring out of his body. And now he has black smoke clones.
I like to see a Hanzo Noob, I want to see all the main ninjas at once
