@@Theferrariguy Very concerned, I liked the handling, car details, car sounds, world but when racing the world would fail to load, I got flung into the air for getting hit by a car mid race, the HORRIBLE optimization I had to reduce the graphics to 900p with low settings and it was still unplayable (Rx 570 8gb)

The steering looks really bad that the only concern for me. People say “oh but it’s just the demo” but the real game is never no different to the demo
A demo is usually 95% or more there which is a worry. The steering is fine just the driving animations are weak
steering is mainly issue of bad deadzone settings, you can change it in the settings even right now, so It will be fixed until launch for sure.
also look at graphics in the trailer, clearly using ssr and working better than demo, plus people found config files that make game way better.
so honestly whole negativity of people is quite overblown. Although i wpuldn't hype this game so much too, it looks like a decent thing, if it manages to keep itself afloat and devs will be allowed to work on the game, it may become good in few more years, but yee

Finally, someone who doesn't ignore the TDU2 car models. I commented on a different video about the GT-R and I got people saying "but ackshually they don't have access to old assets." Explain the returning cars's COPY PASTE mistakes from TDU2.
Yesh it's shambolic. I'm surprised they did have access to the older assets, don't see why they bothered using them.
I hope we don't see old O'ahu as an expansion. With it's spaghetti highways.

I'm neither excited or concerned because of the game being online-only. Online only is a huge killer for me. I really don't like the idea of paying for something that I can't call my own after purchase. If the game doesn't do very well, the servers could shutdown in a couple of years, and without an offline patch, we all know what happens after that.
Played the demo, the physics feel decent. The graphics are just okay, and like you said, the city is dead as hell. Absolutely no dynamic events or anything going on. The fact that this is the demo as well, as in, a slice of 1.0, is terrible. They should've made it early access or made the beta open until release. The developers have so much to work on and I really think this is going to be another case of what could've been.
I don't think I'll be getting this game at release, it's never a good idea to get a game on day one anyways. Any game that has a lot of aspects that can make it a good single-player game but is online only is just stupid. The older TDU games were great without being online-only. I don't know why almost every dev and their mother thinks that their game should be online-only, it's just a negative all around. Online-only in something like WoW makes sense because the content was meant to be done with other people.
Hopefully my comment ages like milk and that the game turns out great. For the time being though the game is off my radar.
If I didn't preorder it already, I would've held off, but there's no other big titles coming out in the racing game world, so It's worth a shot.
They did host closed betas but I think a public one would've been very beneficial to test the servers
@@Theferrariguy Nowadays, it would take a lot to get me to preorder a game. Ever since Cyberpunk I've really held off on preordering at all. Personally, I would never preorder games that are online only. If the demo had better performance, better server stability, and the full release can be played offline, I would have definitely preordered the game. As like you said, there are no big racing titles coming out. More patches will come out to improve the performance and stability of the game, and hopefully an offline patch as well, but I'm going to wait on the game being fixed up first and buy it during a sale. Despite what I've said, I hope you enjoy the game!

fr i just hope that the houses are really cool idk i think they add a lot of character and comfort plus a garage would be great instead of just a boring screen and the brakeing need a lot of work and i think the dealerships do look a bit bland but im just hoping we don't get some fh5 pre patch crap but yeah this game has some really potential if they pull it off :)
Only thing i am worried about is not being able to drive against standard ai, other than that i am not worried.
Its quite impossible that tdu2 models exist in this game, because they are 2 separate dev teams, meaning copyright trouble, etc
Then in that case even more shame on them for making “new” models look like dogshit from Xbox 360 days 🤣🤣

I must say the handling feels very reminiscent of the OG TDU, which is a positive as I liked it as a simcade type of deal. But I'm a fan of weird handling physics that are a bit unforgiving, I'm probably the exception. Forza Horizon series handling makes me fall asleep, I don't like all cars of the same drivetrain handling exactly the same, and it's been the norm since Forza dominates the simcadey market (RIP GRID)
I was more afraid before playing the demo, now after playing it I only have gripes with the graphics (some ancient models, same NPC lifeless look as previous games in the franchise etc)
I predict it'll be a "Mixed" review game in Steam which I will enjoy regardless
I fear the same, although my main gripes are the online only feature and old dodgy car models

Also i watched the video just now and you are sharing straight up misinformation. Kyloton literally CAN NOT use tdu 2 models, because they neither have their files nor the rights to them. You will see some similiarities between the models because those are the same cars, but those are not tdu 2 models and can't be tdu 2 models. If any models in this games are copied, they must be copied from WRC games, but there corelation between cars is tiny and only two of them come up in my mind.
World looks empty. Considering open world games have been populated on other car centric games since 10+ years ago... this is just not acceptable.
I guess mabye its your computer being better than mine, but the open world really doesnt look good IMO, it did in your video, but when I am playing, it looks like a chinese knock off of what was advertised. The cars feel too stiff and the physics are cartoony at times. I see the potential of the game, but if the current beta we are playing is anywhere close to the live build I am worried. The people who defend the demo say this is an old build and everything will be fixed on launch, how do they know that? If this demo is alot of people's first look at the game, why would you release an old build? Wouldnt you want to put your best step forward?

I'm borned and raised in Hong Kong, has a local driving licence for 10+ years and I can confirm it looks NOTHING like the real thing.

I'm never ever preordering any game ever. Learned my lesson with Forza Motorsport. Didn't make the same mistake with F1 2024. Feels good for EA to be less 70 euros poorer. People should just stop pre ordering. Otherwise publishers will always release unfinished games. Just keep your money guys

WRONG. A demo is pretty much a finished game, just a slice is all your seeing. They dont have enough time to fix major things. Your looking at your next live service game. Why do you think its a single player game, BUT ONLINE ONLY?

another kid that got 0 experience in life and a loud mouth. this game is trash and will be trash in couple of month when they will release it. just like 90% of the games released in the past years. unfinished, unoptimized buggy mess with micro transaction are the new standard. right now test drive is empty, dull, unoptimized and the graphics and gameplay are worst than games released 10 years ago. i got literally no hope for that game
If the game is this in bad of a state 3 months before release then it's concerning
Even tho this is a demo and it ''does not represent the final product'' i cannot see them fixing the numerous errors and just overall unfished things in time for full release.
I enjoy cruising. The sense of speed is some of the best. But i hate how i can already feel its gonna be one of those games where you tro grind 3 hours for one mid range car.
And yet again we get a racing game with horrific drifting mechanics. The way you cant even make out most of the map even tho you're at a high point in the mountains is also just poor.

This game will die out very fast as there are no customization like nfs or "forza horizon" and there are no tuning that really changes the cars characteristics like bigger exhaust will change the sound and so on. You problary wont be able to put a rollcage in and se it inside the car. I think it's gonna be TDU2 with better graphics wich isnt only bad. But way too little freedom. Only change the colour and rims aint fun. And as you say , the world is just dead except the cars wich suck.

@@misael9154 it will be bad because it will use same content as 10year old tdu game and wont add anything new. You will be able too choose some interior colors and paint and rims then you Cruise around in a complete empty world. You wont be able too do much with your car. Thats why it wont be fun for more than some week.
@@djantraxx86 forza has been doing the exact same thing and see how abandoned is forza horizon 5 for being the same game than the first one. even then, everyone that is old enough to have played TDU 2 at least knows that solar crown lacks a lot of stuff that made TDU series TDU. most of u that complain about the game havent played a Test drive in ur life and expected this to be a forza killer, only to criticize it for being graphically bad when its something kyloton has been dealing with since years
@@misael9154 im not defending forza. I've quit forza since I saw what motorsport lacked and that it STILL was same styling and tuning since forza motorsport 2 on 360. And i've played tdu and tdu 2 alot. And boy it lacks customization. Nice add with the real estates and stuff but still all you can do is paint your car and change rims. Tuned my dodge viper with new exhaust and everything. Didnt change the sound or anything more than gave it more boost. I was hoping for something new and next gen. Hong kong streetracing with estates/houses and social building with npc characters. Build your car and was hoping for a kickass soundesign with a next gen alive city.
TDU was never about customising the cars. Apart from a few manufacturer options when buying a car and the paintwork. The biggest problem with TDU SC is that apart from a few small things, it doesn't feel like a TDU.
You have no reason to worry about it. It has no future like unbound anyway. Senseless raw product. 😄
