I'm glad you did this, I've been debating on belt kit or not for a while and every setup I tried made me look like I was about to invade or got lost on my way to an airsoft game instead of just taking a few snaps of the local wildlife, a bit of a stroll and a crap cup of tea.

Love the belt. Love love light weight carrying. Wore similar black belt with three sections to go with all black 'uniform' at Harry and Meghan's wedding for all day session mingling in crowd. Also wore patch saying, 'Maghawir' (commando) in Syrian/Lebanese Arabic. Naturally got swarmed by cops who looked in belt pack to find biltong, two bottles Lucozade and gloves. Had a good time with cops thereafter. Somebody had to test response time on direct route Harry and Meghan would pass later eh! By the way, the cops only had water and dry biscuits. They deserve better than that for main events. Cheers again. Hope more young people watch your show. You teach them great life skills for emergency etc. Priceless!!
Thanks. Great ideas on what to do with my belt. I will sew elastic on it to make it so I can clip my needed stuff on me. I will add a small water bottle on mine, along with most of the stuff you have.
Great video. As always, you talk about what you got, why it's there and how you use it. Straight and to the point with no filler. I'll have to get one of those drop pouches. I usually use an extra dry sack for that but having both hands free definitely sells it.

The only thing I really carry on belt is leatherman, certainly going to add a possibles pouch and first aid kit. Keep them coming.
Great guidelines I need to sort mine out. I also have on it, a folding saw and medium size lock knife, green string, and para cord for hide building all for my shooting. Water and a pouch depends on temperature and how close my bergan is. Individual personal first aid and leatherman, top left pocket, where else😉
Great video, ive got a very similar setup, only difference is mine is bassed on a viper tacpack/response pack as I can quickly shoulder sling it and it attached to bike easily. otehr belt bits can then attach to response pack to make and all in one, or response pack can have molle remoevd to belt, and worn itself on a belt. Also tip for anayone wanting to go budget, a lot of molle pouches can be had very cheaply from Aliexpress, also flashlights, be wary of quality of coarse.

Great video and nice belt kit. I also enjoy the outdoors, hiking, bushcraft, camping, and survival. I love my packs, pouches, and kits. Kind of an addiction, but could be worst LOL. I have a bushcraft belt, daypack, and large pack which are always changing, but finally close to having everything how I want it. My bushcraft belt started out small but now is a full survival kit including shelter and cook. I actually wear it with my pack so I always feel prepared. Again great video and I am enjoying your channel!
Hi Tom. Just re- watching all your old footage. Great video as always. Good content and well delivered. One question for you regarding your jacket you are wearing in this video. What brand is it and where to purchase one. A link will be great. Would you possibly make a video on your clothing choices for different activities and why you selected them. That would certainly interest me and others i assume. Be safe and ready pal.
My eight component fire, water and signal kit is combined on a 2 inch X 3 inch signal mirror with all components mounted on the other side of the mirror. I have a retractable whistle, a silva compass mounted atop the lid of my water purification tablets container, a removable 650 lumen flashlight (torch), another container with fire tinder for about 14 fires, a ferrocerium rod on one side of the mirror and a diamond hook and knife sharpener at the bottom of the signal mirror. The flashlight (torch), has a hand lanyard attached to the neck lanyard. The kit is a highly integrated group of essential gear readily at hand without the need for delays in searching for the critical gear described normally stored somewhere and separate in a backpack. I also have gear stored on my belt as well. My Diy Dynemma 4.7 ounce tent with titanium stakes, and a DIY heat reflective sleeping bag/bivy with a heat reflective ground sheet, stored in the rear my Mora knife up front, side. My dad's miny multi-tool front, side opposite the knife side and I working on reducing my folding saws' handle with a half the weight modification for mounting on on the multi-tool side of the belt. Tested the thrusting moments of the belt with all but the saw and found no noticeable thrusting. All the gear on the belt are stored horizontally to reduce/eliminate thrusting moments.
You have alot of nice kit. One thing I might recommend is a little bit of shelter gear. A heavy duty space blanket or 7x7 tarp along with a trash bag go a long way in keeping you dry and giving you some extra protection from the elements. Along with that ,I might suggest a pocket kit like I have on my channel as a simple redundancy. Thanks for posting.
@@PreparedPathfinder , oh ok, I was just thinking the belt kit was something that supplemented your backpack, but was also intended to be used alone should you be separated from your bigger bag ... Similarly the pocket gear comment. Thanks for showing your kit though and have a nice evening.

@@PreparedPathfinder ,sounds like a good video idea. I really like to see what people use as their minimum gear when out in case they were separated from their backpack or it didn't make sense to have a larger kit. Anyway ,thanks for showing your outdoor gear.
If I go camping these days it`s by bike. My knees just can`t cope with a heavy pack anymore. On a day walk I wear my old combat jacket with every pocket full of kit and a day bag with my flask of tea ( and my newly added emergency tin). Here in France an essential item is a hardwood walking stick. Wild Boar and nasty hunters dogs can be bumped into at any time in the forests, and a stick at least makes me feel brave.
Small request from brethren from across the pond. Possibly have ebay or amazon links to products that are similar or the same as the ones you reference. Love the vid will be watching more.
Great Video I have a similar belt kit Tom Mine comprises around Warrior pouches and belt, My Knife is a Rick Hinderer made in USA, I have a Kathryn Water filtration Bottle, Like your Drop Pouch, Must get One.
Nice, but I would try to figure out a way to add a woodworking tool set/pouch somehow myself, with an awl, a straight chisel, a curved chisel, a 1/4 inch hand drill, and a couple of other things.
What a well thought out belt. It's a shame you can't add a Browning or Glock service pistol. JK.. I know us Americans can't go anywhere w/o a gun... 😁 I've recently updated my Batman Utility Belt w/the IFAK like yours in the small of my back for left or right access. Great video!!! @@flashgordon1262 they're standard issue in the UK Armed Forces, they enable you to put compression directly onto a wound in order to help stem blood loss. Far better than the old field dressings we used to get.
Looks well thought out to me I never understood why some people Carry their knives on their packs. Always thought that a knife should be on your belt for obvious reasons. Same with your pistol if you’re in a place where getting and carrying one is an option. Not sure why proper belt kit kind of fell by the wayside… it’s still definitely got a place for me! @@thinkingsurvival I would take a small grab bag in addition to this belt with me if l was moving any distance from my main pack, maybe l’ll put together a video on that too. Cheers mate, and you 👍
@@PreparedPathfinder ,sounds like a good video idea. I really like to see what people use as their minimum gear when out in case they were separated from their backpack or it didn't make sense to have a larger kit. Anyway ,thanks for showing your outdoor gear.
@@thinkingsurvival cheers mate 👍
Superb. Loving the channel. 🤘from 🇨🇦
Cheers mate! 👍
Fair one mate, as l mentioned, everyone has their own needs and circumstances.
Small request from brethren from across the pond. Possibly have ebay or amazon links to products that are similar or the same as the ones you reference. Love the vid will be watching more.
The belt kit is the way to go.
But the 58 pattern webbing is a little much ha.
Still looking for a good belt kit.
1st layer in pockets, 2d later on my belt (with suspenders) love it. do require all belt to be load rated
Yep l didn’t even go into my pocket contents. I did a series about the three layers of a soldier’s kit carriage recently.
Give a silky laplander a try, love mine
This is a Laplander mate, by Bahco. I heard the Silky ones are decent.
Awesome, thanks 😊
Great video as all was been looking at a belt set up for my kit defo going set one up now after watching this video
Great video and information 👍 thanks for the video
Great Video I have a similar belt kit Tom Mine comprises around Warrior pouches and belt, My Knife is a Rick Hinderer made in USA, I have a Kathryn Water filtration Bottle, Like your Drop Pouch, Must get One.
The olive green S10 respirator haversack works for me.
Nice setup!
Nice, but I would try to figure out a way to add a woodworking tool set/pouch somehow myself, with an awl, a straight chisel, a curved chisel, a 1/4 inch hand drill, and a couple of other things.
Moc hesky Super video

Hlavně zdravy
Thanks mate!
What a well thought out belt. It's a shame you can't add a Browning or Glock service pistol. JK.. I know us Americans can't go anywhere w/o a gun... 😁
I've recently updated my Batman Utility Belt w/the IFAK like yours in the small of my back for left or right access.
Great video!!! Thank you for posting...
Cheers mate 👍
im having to google a few of the items you mention ...thats a good sign!
Fair one! I'm going to put some links in the description as so many people have asked me.
@@PreparedPathfinder it was the israealy bandage thingy..never heard of it seems good though!
@@flashgordon1262 they're standard issue in the UK Armed Forces, they enable you to put compression directly onto a wound in order to help stem blood loss. Far better than the old field dressings we used to get.
@@PreparedPathfinder Didnt know...i got as far as army cadets ...not quite as professional as the big guys ,they do look good though
@@flashgordon1262 yeah they're decent mate. I just put links to everything in the description.
Looks well thought out to me
I never understood why some people
Carry their knives on their packs. Always thought that a knife should be on your belt for obvious reasons. Same with your pistol if you’re in a place where getting and carrying one is an option.
Not sure why proper belt kit kind of fell by the wayside… it’s still definitely got a place for me! Im a big fan of the American ALICE system. It’s solid gear and it’s ridiculously CHEAP.
I've been contemplating making up one of these for a long time, but perhaps with something a little more old-school: the Sam Browne belt. I've been wondering if it might be a good way to carry the 2-lb. kukri knife that's an intended part of my gear....
I don't have a battle belt, however your contents are very similar to what I carry in my hunting vest, if that counts....
I'm one of those guys that hates having things on my back,. I've tried all kinds of things but keep coming back to web gear and a smock.
