I have been a Christian by birth and studying Bible a lot. But I've got the clear storyline on 400 silent years only today. Thank You brother. Love from Nagaland State in India.
I've only watched a few of your videos, but I intend to watch all that I can. You have taught me so much, and your enthusiasm makes it even better. Thank you for what you do, and make it enjoyable.
Stephen, I did not like history while in school. When I have been places where actions in history happened it becomes a lot more real to me. You do a great job of keeping it interesting. You packed a lot in to this video, but managed to keep it interesting by bringing it to life. Thanks, and keep up the great work.
Thank you for a clear, concise description (I appreciate that you got it on one slide!). I’m reading Macabbees and it was kinda confusing. I used to love history in school.
Hey Stephen, thanks for the video. I wrote down everything in detail and will be adding it to my notes to help guide me in future lessons and studies. Although, I have a different view on the last Kingdom and believe that the last Kingdom has already and come and is the Kingdom we are currently living in. Just wanted to say you did an outstanding job with this and thank you so much for helping me understand this better. I was taught this in school, but I love how you simplified everything in a matter of minutes.
Great work on your video brother! I’ll check out your other stuff. But - to answer your question, I did not think I liked history until a professor at community college sat at his desk and just told us story after story about the world. Changed everything for me!
I'm really enjoying your channel. First time watcher now a new subscriber. Thank you for making it interesting to learn this very important hi(story). 👍
The king had a dream and Daniel interpreted it and everything he said in that dream has happened so YAH is real. Every history book in the world has a TIMELINE in it and at the MIDDLE of it are the initials " B.C." so chew on that piece of fact then realized that salvation is free!!! Accept CHRIST as your savior and mean it in your heart. Get Baptized and I'll see you in Heaven!!!
I hated boring history in school but you have kept my attention and sparked my interest for sure! Love the movie “Kingdom of Heaven” with Orlando bloom. Where would the crusades fit in? Love all the “Elizabeth” movies and of course “300”. Have always wondered about the timelines. Thanks!
History in school was never my favorite but later in life I've grown to love it. My teachers in HS and college made it interesting so I think a big part is the teacher! This was so informative and am amazed every time I see connections in the story
As a kid in school, I was a fan of the old ancient civilization type of history because I always wanted to know how we as humans originated (this was before I believed the Bible when I thought it was just a fairy tale) and how people lived such different lives from today. I discovered I really like learning about different cultures and just what it would be like to grow up in different nations in different climates and circumstances and under different rulership- ancient Mesopotamia, ancient Egypt, ancient China, the Mongol Empire, the Mayans, Aztecs, and Incans, the vikings...such cool tales! Documentaries helped too. My least favorite part of history was towards the 19/20th century when the focus shifted to gun-based wars, railroad development, plantation slavery, nuclear weapons, politics, and the industrial revolution...it just got so complicated and more about memorization and dark, sad stuff than understanding different cultures.
you need to make a few more videos. you could probably reproduce some of your older videos. start with Gnosticism LOL Good stuff man keep going. This is definitely a great video that every bible reader needs!!!
It was not radio silence. They were recorded in the Bible. It’s just that some Christians don’t consider some books as part of the Bible. But during the time of Jesus and the Apostles, they were even quoting books from the Septuagint translation, which included what came to be known as Deuterocanonicals including books such as the 1st and 2nd Maccabees.
Fascinating!!! NOT a history buff, but the older I get the more I like it and realize how important it is. I'm going to listen to this 2 or 3 (or 4 or 5!) more times so I can remember it. Great job Stephen.👍 I'm a linear thinker so I love the time-line.
Some of the events between the testaments are mentioned in the bible, but not the protestent bible, they are mentioned in the Catholic bible in books like first and second macabees.
The Books of the Apocrypha also mentioned some of what took places during that 400 year. 1 and 2 Maccabees talks about the revolt that took places when the Greeks had control.
The silent gap is not really as silent and quiet as we think. For example, the Deuterocanonical books (aka extracanonical books) such as the Book of Sirach and the Book of Maccabees (which belong to the Bibles of Catholic, Orthodox, and Lutheran churches but not to all Bibles of Ptotestant churches) are from this period. And the book of Enoch also dates from this interval, and although it does not belong to any canon, it is quoted several times in the New Testament.
Disliked history until a fab teacher in 11th grade incorporated great human and humorous stories into the endless list of dates! Loved medieval, Arthurian times. Prob why I like GOT and other fantasy stories 😉
As an Native American from Plymouth, Massachusetts 3rd grade History’s 1st page of the 1st chapter of America’s History, The Wampanoag Tribe 1st Thanksgiving’s name was not mentioned, then‼️
The info was great. I didn't like the strange cuts. I nearly switched off but I REALLY want to figurre out if the Old TESTAMENT covers 4500 years approximately. A friend let me borrow a short version of the MACCABEES BIBLE. AMEN KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING AND WISDOM is what I crave. Amen 🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
I find your information revelatory & draws me to the thought of there were NO writers in the 400 years of silence, which in turn leads me to believe that there may be another gap for a lack of writers of TRUTH, AGAIN‼️
It would be helpful if you would point out the fact that King Herod was not an Israelite but rather an Edomite. He was not a descendent of Jacob. This is important because it opens the door to understanding that there is a distinction between being an Israelite and being an Israeli.
What about Anna? She is referred to as a prophetess in Luke when Jesus was only 40 days old. Also it was revealed to Simeon in that same chapter that he would not die until he had seen the Messiah. It is true that there was no written revelation preserved for us.
The second half of the Old Testament is not in chronological order. The last book of the Old Testament is not the end of the timeline. If you’re reading it that way you were missing a whole lot.
Nice Job! However the date of king Harrod's death is highly disputed. We must be careful what we claim is scholarly and dependable information. We must declare the dispute and differing points of view. Many historians, archeologists and theologians have his death around 1 AD or just there after. We live in a world ruled by those who discredit the biblical narrative at every turn. Please use caution when teaching others.
After the Persians was the Greeks as Daniel prophesized. Upon Alexander the Greats death his kingdom was divided between his four generals. Israel was a part of this kingdom. Want more information research the Maccabees, books 1 and two and that will let you learn much of what happened during those 400 years.
Great video! I always imagine His story is Jesus' story. From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their lands. - Acts 17: 26 You pore over the Scriptures because you presume that by them you possess eternal life. These are the very words that testify about Me, -John 5: 39 God bless you.
1 is yet to come? Nope. The 4th one is Rome. And the Kingdom of God is here. You're a dispensationalist. That's why you're putting gaps in Daniel's 490 yrs.
It really makes me think. If Jesus was born around 6 BC. BC means Before Christ. Then why is it that this 6 BC didn't became 1 AD? Because Christ is already been born.
Good question! The BC/AD notations are not from the Bible, but made by man as a way to honor Christ’s birth. They could have just made a miscalculation.
Islam believes throughout the years since the beginning of humankind, numerous revelations have been sent down to God's Prophets & Messengers. Total 124,000 Prophets have been sent down to that specific era or specific group of people. Quran only mentions 25 important Prophets in the book - 1) Adam 2) Idris (Enoch) 3) Nuh (Noah) 4) Hud (Heber) 5) Saleh (Methusaleh) 6) Lut (Lot) 7) Ibrahim (Abraham) 8) Ismail (Ishmael) 9) Ishaq (Isaac) 10) Yaqub (Jacob) 11) Yusuf (Joseph) 12) Shu’aib (Jethro) 13) Ayyub (Job) 14) Dhulkifl (Ezekiel) 15) Musa (Moses) - Scripture: Tawrat/Torah sent down as guidance, reminder & warning to Children of Israel of that Era only 16) Harun (Aaron) 17) Dawud (David) - Scripture: Zabur/ Psalms sent down as guidance, reminder & warning to Children of Israel of that Era only 18) Sulayman (Solomon) 19) Ilyas (Elias) 20) Alyasa (Elisha) 21) Yunus (Jonah) 22) Zakariya (Zachariah) 23) Yahya (John the Baptist) 24) Isa (Jesus) - Scripture: Injeel / Gospel sent down as guidance, reminder & warning to Children of Israel of that Era only 25) Muhammad - Scripture: Quran sent down as guidance, reminder & warning to the whole humankind & djinn kind until the end of times All of the above including the 124,000 Prophets have these important similar message - Oneness of God the Eternal, Absolute; God is perfect and unlike his creations; God is beyond comparison and that no one is equal to God; Neither was God born nor did God ever give birth; Everything/Everyone depends on God, but God doesn’t depend on anyone/anything.
I have been a Christian by birth and studying Bible a lot. But I've got the clear storyline on 400 silent years only today. Thank You brother. Love from Nagaland State in India.
@8:02 - you are still helping me out. thank you, Lord for brother Stephen's channel and research and presentations
@10:02 - this is when the new Jew-ish leaders debuted.
Such a great synopsis of the transition from the Old Testament & the New Testament!! Thank you!
I've only watched a few of your videos, but I intend to watch all that I can. You have taught me so much, and your enthusiasm makes it even better. Thank you for what you do, and make it enjoyable.
First visit to your channel and I'm finally excited about something the algorithm dug up. This is GREAT!! Thank you for your ministry ❤
Very informative. I wanted more information on this topic after we learned it at bible class and you explained it very well.

I hated boring history in school but you have kept my attention and sparked my interest for sure! Love the movie “Kingdom of Heaven” with Orlando bloom. Where would the crusades fit in? Love all the “Elizabeth” movies and of course “300”. Have always wondered about the timelines. Thanks!
The 400 years were non silent. They were recorded, and kept in the scriptures. Until Martin Luther decided they should go.
This video is such a blessing. It pieces together everything perfectly and helps me to connect a lot of dots. Thank you
God bless you sir. Very rich information there.
Thanks so much just going to my Bible study we are at the inter-testament period and this has helped me have a blessed day stay safe xxx 🙏
Yo. This video is fye! Glory be to God!

Where in the Bible is the 400 years
Silent period ?
You actually won’t find it in the Bible-it’s a time where there was no Scripture written.
There's a bit I missed, who's the descendent of Esau?
The white race
Thank you Pastor Stephen, very informative!
Thank you, Wayne!
1st edition 1st copy 1st year, were is it the original testament
I find your information revelatory & draws me to the thought of there were NO writers in the 400 years of silence, which in turn leads me to believe that there may be another gap for a lack of writers of TRUTH, AGAIN‼️

The most interesting part of history to me is Christ telling Hebrews to flee to the mountains. What ⛰ were they? And where exactly did they relocate.

Wow!
The second half of the Old Testament is not in chronological order. The last book of the Old Testament is not the end of the timeline. If you’re reading it that way you were missing a whole lot.
Who was the descendant of Esau who was King Herod's father?
Loved history! World history was my favorite. I was in honors world history in high-school.
Favorite period to study is the apostolic fathers period
A lot of these events are documented in my Catholic Bible.
Answer: Where are the Books of the Maccabees? Fifth Maccabees even overlaps with the New Testament with the Death of Herod the Terrible.

Love history!
Me, too!
Unconvincing of a link between the old and the 'new'.
