      It’s not bad at all. I thought I would have anxiety the first time, but truth be told you don’t notice you can’t see land because it is not for that long that you can’t. Go with a group and the time flies going over

    Nice boat... I have a Grady White 265 express in Deale, MD, and that's my dream - pull it down to Florida and spend a week in the Bahamas... Just missing a trailer and something that can pull it...

    After some history, CPB will just start approving your trip without the interview, especially if you transmit AIS during your crossing.

    New sub, beautiful boat and wish our boat had a Sea Keeper. We have made the run from Ft. Piece to Bimini. Great run if seas are nice.

    • @LandonEM
      @LandonEM  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tylergargas7524 no, you scan everyone’s passport. For me, this last trip they did a FaceTime video to see all the passengers and make sure they were whos passport I scanned. In the past they have approved my entry without a FaceTime call, or they will have you report to the nearest CBP office. It’s one of the three, (approved, FaceTime call or report in person), maybe it depends on who’s working I don’t know how they determine which method.

    How long were there and how much does a trip like that cost?

    • @LandonEM
      @LandonEM  ปีที่แล้ว

      We were only there a few days, had to cut our trip a day short because I didn’t like the predicted wind direction on the return trip. Cost, the hotel, plus slip fee plus food. Things are a little more expensive in Bimini so most people bring what they can.

    Actually you're quite wrong about barracuda. The one you had there was perfectly good for eating, however bigger than that we always save them and give them to the locals they really appreciate that. Got to make the jump to West end

    • @LandonEM
      @LandonEM  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LandonEM West end is the best end ! Yea Landon, small barracuda are delicious. The reason a lot of people won't eat them in there big or maybe eat them at all, they do scavenge a lot of their food, and feed quite a bit on reef fish, the bigger they get like over 5 lb they start to accumulate toxins.... Most of the prime eating fish that are table fare have some type of toxin in them already though. Locals in the Bahamas love them, always save them and give them away.
