In many idol groups, because of his deep voice it automatically would've made him a rapper. But imagine the range of his voice we would've missed out on.
This style of music really isn't that much popular nowadays and it shows with some streaming numbers as opposed to other songs, but Taehyung has created a loyal fanbase that has a hunger for this type with his rich tone, he is extremely popular as part of BTS and that has given this genre a new exposure to people who didn't think they'd listen to it and they loved it and vice versa people who's interested in this type got exposed to BTS because of him, he is truly a breath of fresh air in kpop.
I love V’s voice and style the most, I can’t wait for his album! I’m sure it’s gonna have different genres which is so exciting. It’s highly anticipated and I know he will not disappoint!!
Stigma is the song that got my thinking about kpop 360° reversed. I fell in love with the vocals, and since I was going through my jazz obsession period...I got hooked and I discovered the gem that is Kim Taehyung aka V. I was shocked when I knew he was just 19 years old when he wrote Stigma. Plus he is the jazz and R&B king of BTS and he is the one who brought jazz into BTS with stigma. And him hitting the highest note in the BTS discography with Stigma even tho he is baritone...crazy. No wonder V has broken past the position idol stereotypes and made himself the megastar of today. The most loved, most respected, most popular and most influential idol of this generation indeed.

The one thing I love about BTS is how different and unique each of the 7 members style and musicality is. A lot of idol groups choose their members for how well their voices blend together and sometimes you can't tell the members voices apart if you can't see them. But BTS has always been distinctive

I think I may favor Stigma over Singularity just a tiny bit because of the bridge and vocal range displayed in Stigma. In Singularity, it’s basically Like verse, chorus, verse, chorus 2x-which all sounds good but I think Stigma has some more sonic variety. What do the rest of you guys think?
The first BTS song I added to my playlist! The beginning of my journey, this song is so special to me! I soo soo soo wish his album is gonna have some of that flavor! Manifesting that Givēon collab (I went to his concert this summer and his voice live is even more honeyy) that mixture would be👌🏾🤌🏽
For me, it's a matter of instances in which I'm listening to the songs. There are certain moments when I like to be slightly overstimulated with music, with songs like Stigma I can reach my goal pretty easily. The juxtaposition (my Italian ass couldn't do the spelling for this word) of his voice placements that are so deliciously stable and solid. The intense staccato especially accentuated in the chorus with the instrumentation (the brass! love me some brass) and the heavy echo added on the bass creating a striking contrast with elements that recall fluidity instead, like the amazing harmonies and ad-libs and the bar chiMES!!!😍 But I also love Singularity so much, because it is so low-key, that it isn't...? There is so much space in the mix that you can pinpoint easily all of the elements of the composition, which are built slowly only in the last chorus creating a sense of fullness and finally resolution. Yummy😋 IDK! It's too hard to rank songs, cause to me the ones that I like are all perfect based on the context I'm listening to them in and the mood (and mental state) I'm in! It's just crazy to me that all of the members are so talented and do so well in bringing in different colours in the band catalogue without making it sound incohesive (spare a few exceptions).
Sorry no Silk Sonic collab has been announced, although I think Anderson Paak would be down, but I heard V has a collaboration with Lady Gaga coming out before end of the year.
