to all those who think these sort of things are a waste of money. I bought a 4tb hyperspin, not to play the games on the drive but to provide me with shed loads of roms and all the system bios. then build your own with just the stuff you want. trust me, navigating through 80,000 games is hard work and probably better to have your own favourites of a dozen or so per emulated system. also, if the websites ever get taken down, you still have the master drive to plunder whatever you need
Agree, playing on the drive often leads to the games temporarily freezing or slowing down and the emus are often outdated, the drive is better for storage.

Buy the 12Tb drive. You will never run out of games put the best systems and games on a another drive. That's what I m doing. I don't want any gameboy, commodore, jaguar games or others
I made a retrobat drive similar to this and removed duplicates and hacks then heavily curated what was left. Ended up with just over 10k games on a 1TB drive, fully scraped. Probably gonna have to update it with more stuff at some point. Great vid btw.

@@paulkendrick4153 No, but if you can find 1TB of free upload space...Arcade Punks do something similar and have free downloads for members but I made my own as I wasn't happy with what they offered.

Probably makes more sense for people to collate the roms themselves and develop a deeper understanding of emulation. After all most people have their favourite games and systems and don't need a list of 10,000+ games even if they do want to discover some new games.
I need more then 3 TB on my Xbox series X PS5 don’t care about old consoles that much they shouldn’t require a lot of space to install the new games on Xbox series X PS5 PC play amazing

All i can say is malware, malware, malware. Then when you return a drive they say they didn't get it. Luckily sent it trackable by USPS. Quite a shady company (they also changed the mailing label instructions) 2 days after I sent it back. Can't make this stuff up. :)
I didn't have malware on mine but I still don't give it a thumbs up
@@RetroGamingGuy I don't know about this one but the 12 TB drive had 9 different malwares and sounded like a refurb a lot of rattling sounds

As a gamer you must stop reviewing this rubbish, when you know you can get these roms for nothing

Ive bought 3 of these drives from China - a 3tb (not this one), a 5tb, and the recent 12tb drive. They all had malware. I scanned with 2 different virus programs to clean the drives and they are all good now.
For under a $100 bucks this is actually a decent collection. I wouldn't mind buying this and transferring all these roms to my Retroid Pocket 4. I'm curious if I can get Hyperspin for my retroid.

its awesome you will love it I have the 12tb kinhank and have not even got close to playing all the games yet but I have notice there are alot of duplicates and the lightgun games don't work but if I had to recommend one to buy go with hyperarcade systems it has a autoinstall wizard that sets everything up for you really and it comes with updates and you can talk to the seller directly

Hello friend, I bought exactly that same disk, I updated the Play Station 3 emulator, rpcs3 and now it does not load the games, please help me, upload the emulator to mega or mediafire in rar or zip, it weighs about seven gigabytes, I would greatly appreciate it , I don't have the money to buy another hard drive again, thank you very much.
Problem is they are trying to cater for a broad spectrum of buyers. So not a totally bad thing and if you can customise it easily through the menus then totally fine by that

hi, need some help, here,, I just got the 12tb retro HD , using the same HyperSpin program - currently using my Gaming PC on this setup , seem not able to run some emulators ,like Yu-Nintendo, and saturn, got NO Idea why, i also got a 4tb retro HD that Retro Gaming Guy recommended ,and it worked great on my other med gaming mini pc, ran Yu-Nintendo and dreamcast no problem , so please let me know , how to fix this issue of mine, thank you so much

Its a shame this is a mess. Have had other Chinese HDDs that I just tidy up. Getting this and will back it up and tidy it and add my stuff also. Still better hours of trying to find Roms

Question: RGG I hear you talk about batocera are you able to use this with Kinhank hyperspin or do you require windows? Or can you use Batocera on flash drive and or Hard drive?
Bayocera can go on any type of drive. It's Linux based. KinHank has used batocera before but usually they she's windows not Linux

Or is the Xbox games just set to the Wrong emulator, or just using PS2 controller as controls setting, so directing you to wrong image?
Curious about the malware everyone is claiming. Emulators come back as malware on virus scanning software... What exact malware files are people seeing?

Can a person just go into Rocket Launcher and delete the collections you do not want and systems you may not play?

Emulation is the way to go.
For that price, you cant really complain too much. Is it possible to pull the roms off of the drive to populate a Batocera system. I was just wondering
yes. You could just back them all up. I don't know about the PC games though.
@@leelee7334 Cool, I might just order this thing, I already have a ton of roms, but they must not be named right, ecspecially the ones for the older systems, because they wont screen scrape for anything. I like the stuff to look pretty, lol. I am a little OCD

That's why they make adapters. If you don't want to do that, then that's on you.

I always wonder why these drives catch a lot of flack for duplicates let’s say that there’s only 40,000 games. That’s still $200,000 dollars worth of games and more hours of entertainment then you have hours left in your life🤷♂️ drop your $300 and live your life

Please Do Not Buy, I got done with nearly £400 bucks altogether, it’s rubbish and tat, you can get everything online yourself , mod your consoles or do Launch Box .
You can move the games to another build but it does have bugs for sure.
I am still trying to figure out how run that hardrive on a PC.

My Pc crashed and it gave me Viruses with the AAA titles, most do not work and the ones that do are full of malware and viruses please keep away.

Fellow gamers /-- do not buy !!! 80,000 is overkill !! We don’t know if most work. Many can be in Japanese or Chinese. Several reasons not to buy !!! Don’t ever be swayed because of high numbers. !!! Video should have been way longer since this had 80,000 games . Lots of bloat !!!!
