Just pulled out my bag of 100 of these that were in a Amazon Mystery box. I was going to make Christmas Ornaments out of them, could even add a Christmas sent. Great video as always.
I have wanted to do these for a while but I often read that after the scent application that all sorts of "drama" happens. Inks start to run... the discoloration you mentioned... etc. I would love to hear if there was any issue with the inks running after the scent "set in" and whether the scent really caused much, if any noticeable "damage" to the item itself after a few hours. These would be SO easy, fun and economical to do!
I put the scent in the bag and seal it and i have not noticed any issues. They are great and i have done 100's of them for branding purposes and even tree decorations.
@@dronesoar what did you use to scent? I just did 200 of these for a tradeshow with my companies logo and every one of was ruined because the ink ran after I put the essential oil on and left them to sit overnight.
Love your videos, Angie! I'm new to craft shows and think I am under pricing my items. What would you think we could see this for at a craft show? $2 or $3 each? thank you!!
Thank you for this video! If I don't have a sublimation printer or ink, is that something a print shop can do? Or where would you recommend getting the prints from?
Thank you for this idea, I am so going to make some for my family!! Do the oil dots eventually fade so you can not see them? If I dilute the oil in water would the sent be as strong?
I have tried several times to make these and my sublimation paper isn't transferring ANY ink onto felt. The package says 374-392F for 50-60 seconds. I've got the pad, wrapped in parchment paper is the felt, sublimation design face down on felt. Can you help me fix this? It looks like I'm following all the instructions.
@ I’m going to try just pressing for 60 seconds like you said instead of their time of 100! The other side I did with a solid preprinted sheet did just fine, it was just my sub paper that stuck. I got it off finally, but it also looks a bit splotchy or pixelated, if that makes sense. The other side is perfect!
I am really not sure. Depends on how much you put on and your personal preference really. If you like a strong scent, you will be refilling more often.
I'm having a difficult time with the sublimation ink bleeding after applying the essential oil. I've experimented with temp and time and they bleed every time. I've made some before without any issues. I'm pretty much convinced that the sublimation blanks are at fault here. Any suggestions?

That is a fabulous idea!!
Ok just changed the time and temp and came out great!!! Thank you
Fantastic!
Love this. Great idea for Christmas gifts.
Definitely!
What a cute idea and gift. Love these.
Glad you like them!
Loved the video, love love Doterra Essential oils. Now I have a new project to do. Thank you for all of your help.
Meee too!!
So cool tutorial !
Could you sublimate both sides at once? I know you can with ceramic blanks.
You can with these! Depends on the blank whether both sides will work.
Beautiful

I would say there was discoloration with some of my oils but otherwise these looked great even after a few days.

@@cheriecarroll7837 Hi I used essential oil, just dripped in bag and then sealed it. I have zero problems with running ink.
Thanks sweets for posting this video !!!!!
No problem 😊
Love that shirt !!!!!
Thanks! Bought it off of Etsy!
Can I sublimate both sides at the same time & how long do I press if using the auto-press?
Time and temperature do not change on the autopress. You can do both sides but you need to flip and press again.

@@AngieHolden That was so helpful, thank you!
Can you do a video on sublimating car holders Neapolitan with the easy press please? Love watching your videos btw.
Thank you for this idea, I am so going to make some for my family!! Do the oil dots eventually fade so you can not see them? If I dilute the oil in water would the sent be as strong?
I had the best luck with the clear oils. However, if you dilute it and spay a lot you should get the same scent.
@@AngieHolden Thank you so much!
Muchas gracias
How do you add the sent? I'm new to these
I added essential oils in this video.
Just remember with the yellow/ orange tinge. You will find it is any scent that has vanilla
I wonder if i can use the heat transfer iron on paper for these??
You will not be able to add the scent to the area where you put the paper.
If I wanted to print custom photos of myself on the blank air fresheners. What printer do I need? I have a cricut to print it on the air fresheners
You need a sublimation printer with sublimation ink.
I love this 💞
Thanks for watching!
Is there a way to do this without sublimation?
These look like fun. Will a heat press work with these?
Literally any heat press.
Question does the clear oil that you added continue to show or no
I don't see the clear version on mine but the colored oil did show up even after several days.
I lined the entire outside of mine with the black ice fragrance oil, is that too much?
I feel like it depends on your specific tastes. It may not be for some people!
Hi, what paper do you use for this?
This is sublimation paper printed with sublimation ink from a sublimation printer.
How do you get the hole in the picture that you’re going to use??
You don't have to put a hole in the picture. It won't hurt anything to sublimate that area.
Hi. Thanks for the tutorial. How long does the scent last in a sealed bag? Curious because I would like to stock them instead of making them to order.
I did NOT test that! Sorry!
@@AngieHolden thank you for replying. Now I'm on a mission to find out 😁
May I ask, What kind of printer are you using for sublimation
I usually use my sawgrass SG500 but I have several printers.
Are you using sublimation ink?
yes - it suddenly started working - I don't know what I didn't differently! Thank you!@@AngieHolden
I am finding when i add oil my image goes see through or disappeared and the ink ran off. How can i fix this
The ink should never run off or be removed. It may be your blanks are not quality.
Can I spray with Febreeze?
It should work!
The instructions said to do 385 for 100 seconds. It stuck horribly! Did I do too long? The ready made sub paper did fine in the other side
Gosh I didn't have any issues with sticking on these! Maybe the brand you purchased?
@ I’m going to try just pressing for 60 seconds like you said instead of their time of 100! The other side I did with a solid preprinted sheet did just fine, it was just my sub paper that stuck. very nice teaching video
Many many thanks!
@@AngieHolden you are welcome honey
Amazing video!
Do you know whether cotton blank are better than polyester blanks? Which material will retain and release the scent better?
You have to have polyester or sublimation blanks for the sublimation ink to work.
How long does the scent last
I think it really depends on how strong you like it? For me I refresh about once a month. You can just add more scent.
How many days the fragrance long last ?
I am really not sure. Depends on how much you put on and your personal preference really. If you like a strong scent, you will be refilling more often.
I followed instructions but my color is barely showing????! Help!
Will the dot of oil go away?
I find that a clear oil works well. Diluting it and spraying it also helps. The colored oil drops did NOT go away and they were noticeable.
Can you use butcher paper for these as well?
You can use butcher paper in place of the protective paper.
Calgary brand from Amazon is colorless
Good to know!
nice

I have heard other people say this and that has not happened to me AT ALL with these. Maybe dilute it with water in a spray bottle and mist instead?
@@AngieHolden thanks so much for your reply. I did use a spray bottle but didn't dilute with water. I'll give it a shot. Thanks again!
I just put drops in the bag and then seal the bag and have had zero issues with that.
When I put oil on mine, you can see where I've put it like it goes all dotty 🤔
I found some oils do that and so do not. You can try diluting it in water and misting instead.
What printer do you use? I'm new to this world 😂
