    just a thought, if you use a seat cushion, or a pad you can sew a flap of canvas to the underside of it, and put grommets in the part that dangles in front of you. then you can use snap links, or small carabiners to attach and remove a small bag only when you want it attached. for the pouch, any small pouch that has D rings for a shoulder strap works

    I bought a fanny pack type bag and cut the strap, put Velcro on it to attach, and it works great! Glad you guys got something to work too!

    I got some velcro and used screws to screw some onto the soles of my shoes and then wrapped the footrest with velcro and boom they stay in place all the time :) I use a backpack that hangs off the backrest. I use 2, a small one and a larger one (depending on where I go for the day). I have a extralarge fanny pack that is screwed to the backrest behind me and I keep my parking pass there. I have another regular size one that goes across my chair under my legs and I keep my wallet and other i.d. in. I have a 3rd that goes across the axle and I keep 2 innertubes, co2 inflators and tools to remove a tire. your chair is your life, use it to it's full potential.

    I'm also a wheelchair user. I was born with CP, but had a spinal cord injury 13 years ago. You could try searching for Tactical Bags & Packs on Amazon. They come in all shapes and sizes and are easier to attach than other types of bags.

      Cool+BeingMomCa would you send a link to the email in the description? I might be able to buy them and review them on my evil for sale series eventually. 🙂

    I know this is a year later but i had same dilemma when i needed a bag that wasn't a purse or a backpack but it could hold my stuff in it that i needed for when i went out so i found a bag on amazon thats supposed to go under the wheelchair but i can't reach under my chair so i clip it around my seat belt and it works really well for me if that helps

    Wish there was a way I could show you my solution.. I used one of those adidas type slouch/draw string backpacks and put grommets in all 4 corners and used zip ties in the back by the camber bar and the bungie type cords you have in front for the front.. works like a charm and no holes for things to slide through! :)

      I have a drawstring bag that I want to use to carry things under my seat basically for a lunch bag or or gym shoes so I don't have to stop by my house after work to leave things, how did you do that?

    also maybe, with the cargo net, you could still use the bag to add a little more support for your smaller things then you put it in there!

    • @livingmycplife
      @livingmycplife  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Criss Howe that's why when I use my cargo net I will often use a bigger bag that fits snugly in it and then I use multiple bags in that bag like I would in a purse 🙂

    I have a really nice family pack that will fit everything you need to give meaning tablet or iPad or you want to call it and it works perfectly is a pretty penny though it's good for dollars but it's worth it choose a situation

    I use a power chair so I use a bag on my arm rest but it is not big enough to put a laptop in or anything big, and the idea of a back pack does not work because I would not be able to reach it, I could just wear it on the front but at some point I would need to remove it while out and about, I also would not want to put my laptop in a back pack that goes on the chair because it would be to easy for someone to try to still it, instead of carrying my laptop around I will be probably taking a cheap old tablet I have but either way it has been a problem, and then there are the small items I can put in my pants pockets but ten trying to get them out is never easy.

    go to a hardware store. they sell utility tool bags and belts

  • @rescand2
    @rescand2 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    The net is a fantastic idea. However, did you close up the rear so the bag doesn't bounce out the back and while you're at it, figure out how to close up the sides also; the roads and sidewalks can be bumpy and your bag may fall out without your knowledge. Maybe get some zip ties.

    • @livingmycplife
      @livingmycplife  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the pointers +Robert Escandon. The bag is fully enclosed except for the drawstring top which always stays closest to me and the back rest on the back part of the chair so it is not going to fall out. The net it's self is tight as we could get it and we make sure to keep an eye out of any lose strings 🙂

      Oh of course +Criss Howe I just don't personally use one because 1 it doesn't match my outfit all the time Lol and 2 if I let it hang under my chair it looks like a colostomy bag and no hate to those who need one but I don't and I don't like that look for me personally.

    I have a power wheelchair and no idea how to get a suitable bag as there is no underneath and if u hang something on the arm it makes the chair too wide lol I can't really access a bag attached to back of chair. Very annoying lol

    • @livingmycplife
      @livingmycplife  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you thought of taking a Fannypack and attaching it to the inside of your chair so that only you have access to the zippers and things inside? That might be an option although it also may decrease the room in your chair +Sarah Smith
