It's always intriguing to learn of other applications for the tools I talk about. I'm glad something like these lights can find a useful place in your and your spouse's life. Thank you for sharing that.
Totally agree on the Cornwell, had a coworker who had his socket explode exactly like you said and one half of the socket flew across the shop. I've broken 5 of the sunex sockets and they will always crack coming from the top down, as long as you check your socket every once in a while it's easy to spot.
LOL I was the same way when I got my first Coast head light. I knew you would get a kick out of it. My first week I sold the 12 I got in. I should had order more. Now just waiting for my backorders to come in. Another great video..
Hello again, Lindsay Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I enjoyed watching tonight's video. I agree with you about the practicality of the Coast Light. You spoke about the Cornwell Sockets breaking. I have to admit, I haven't heard anything about this. How long has this been going on for? Again thank you 👌
Hello, George!! The Cornwell socket situation was pretty prominent about a year or two ago. I don't know if Cornwell made improvements or if people switched to different brands.
But they just gotta remember to turn the button back on for the voice control. If not, nobody can say anything, but it would be funny for people to mess around in the shop to other technicians
As a former construction worker, now a mechanic, hands free is nice especially when you're at height. The construction company I used to work is no requiring taillights on the hardhats. This would be handy as I worked in the pitch black and being able to turn it up and down depending on what I am doing without having to touch it would be handy. That company is the reason I buy coast lights now because of hl8 big mining style headlamp they gave me when I worked for them.
The 1 inch Milwaukee long nose impact has a wheel torque setting mode on the Milwaukee phone app. It gets close to the 450lbs spec and finish it off with a 3/4 torque wrench. My Carlyle 1 inch air gun hits harder for removal of wheels than the electric gun. I haven't tried to hammer a lug nut with the Milwaukee to see if it can break it off.
I don't because Colt has very restrictive policies about who can sell their products. You have to stock a minimum amount of their products, which is too expensive for a small-volume retailer like myself. Colt distributes CZ, which is also governed by the same criteria.
For the "reducing" adapters terminology, I think it is a matter of perspective. When I want an adapter to allow me to use a 3/8" drive socket on a 1/4" drive ratchet, I'll ask for a "step up" adapter, and most people understand what I mean. However, sometimes people will hand me the opposite (an adapter to use a 1/4" drive socket on a 3/8" drive ratchet). When I ask why, they say, "The adapter 'steps up' the size of the socket drive so you can use it on a larger ratchet." My interpretation is that the confusion stems from whether someone thinks in terms of ratchet -> adapter -> socket or socket -> adapter -> ratchet.
And the qualirty of the sunex sockets have gone down hill too now also being made in china too also ,,,,i hate sunex now too and they tols nobody too also....and refuse acknowledge this too...
thanks again, those headlamps are pretty cool.
You got it, John. Thanks for watching!
That Mayhew great looking screwdriver/pic/pry bar set in foam is not expensive at all.
Always great content! We appreciate the time taken to do these videos
I'm happy to do them, thanks for watching!
As the spouse of a person with a spinal chord injury voice recognition devices are lifesaving. Save me a lot of running around the house in a day.

Thanks for the recommendation!
Those back probably blades are pretty nice. I remember making some myself with old sewing pins. OK, I have to admit the coast light is pretty cool.
I've been talking up the lights and so far most everyone on the truck thinks they're pretty cool. We'll see what the adoption rate is pretty soon.
@@CoyleToolsI might not get one for myself but I would hope my get the hint and get it for me for Christmas

Chrome is just a plating on sockets? The new Made in USA Cornwell 1/4 Swivel Impact Socket sets (on sale at $250) come on a VIM socket rail.
Don't confuse a chrome plating with the chromium alloy the sockets are made out of.

Do ya ever get any colts?

Say does any set of torx come with a T500?😮😮

That makes sense.
