Dr. Eben Alexander's Near Death Experience & What It Reveals About Our Shared Consciousness

  • What can near death experiences teach us about our consciousness and universal connectedness? Dr. Eben Alexander, academic neurosurgeon and NYT bestselling author was given a 2% chance of survival during his 7 day coma from bacterial meningitis - but he fought for his life and miraculously came back to tell what happened when he was in that other realm. He shares what he learned in his NDE about our shared sense of oneness, how we can live beyond the 3D while we're in this physical world, what happens when we pass into the afterlife, and how we can separate from the ego voice in our head and tap into our ability to heal, our wholeness, and our higher soul.

Hearing this story again has kept me alive today. I really didn't want to stay alive. My son and best friend , Jason, died Dec 42023. I told God that if he couldn't prove to me that he was ok that I didn't want to be here anymore. Although it is still horrible, I want to thank you for allowing me this respite. Sincerely Patricia Stultz

When Tolstoy's youngest and most loved son Vanechka died, he wrote in his diary: "What a wonderful...no it's not the right word, what an important event has just happened!" Try to reach and stay at the same height of faith, as this man could. He saw death not as a great loss but as a great reunion with God. Or, using everyday language, as going home, the way almost all NDE people see death. Your son simply went back home, exactly the same place he came from at the very beginning of his life. No doubt he doesn't want you to grieve over him, and no doubt you will join him when your time comes. For some reason, l don't completely understand, forced entry is frowned upon by higher powers. Maybe exactly because it's 'forced'. And last but not least. There is no such thing as dead people with God, so may it be the same with you.

The night my mom unexpectedly died, I was waken from a dream that I was putting 3 “plants” on my dad and brother’s grave, I put plants because unlike cut flowers plants don’t die. For 2 years after I pleaded with God almost daily regarding my mother being in heaven. And one morning during my emotional plea to God, a PEACE came over me and I remembered the dream and just knew that my mother was in heaven

My mother passed away in 1996. 10+ yrs later she responded to me with evidence that she can see me hear me. That morning while I was looking at her picture I said, " I hope you can see me and hear me..." Within few hrs, she led me to receive 3 Sympathy cards from the least possible place and person! Those 3 cards were I had received from people after her funeral in 1996. It nearly blew my mind. I had forgotten about the cards and didn't even thought about for many years. Spiritual world exists. I had a few more testimonies.

My mom passed 3 years ago and she has come to me in spiritual presence young and perfectly healthy.❤️ One thing is for sure- life is without beginning and without end. We are eternal… offsprings to the Infinite Mother of Being where Love originated! This is why some of us can feel the spiritual presence of our loved ones who have passed. It reminds us that their life is ever present. 🥰❤️. And we will reunite in Heaven again

Thanks so much Cathy for this excellent interview with Dr. Eben Alexander. Your personal journey and academic investigation aligns so well with Eben's story. Your authenticity showed through 💖
I had the privilege of meeting Eben and Karen Newell in Ottawa, Ontario Canada in October 2017, at the launch of his book "Living in a Mindful Universe". Eben speaks with such clarity and ease, I could listen to him hours and hours. And in fact I have ... listening to various recordings of interviews and recently in November 2022 at the online "Beyond the Veil" summit.
Since meeting and following Dr. Alexander I've opened myself up to learning about and welcoming another realm beyond this physical space we are in, called earth. I've been able to overcome my fear of death, and embrace communications with friends and loved ones who have passed.
And I always pass it forward by sharing his recordings, books and interviews, like yours, with friends and family. I value Dr. Eben Alexander as the most important influencer/guide/mentor of our times, and I hope and pray that his words will be heard by the masses to, in his words, "heal this world".

Ok so I had a clarification, perception change. So I have been asking snd listening to many others that have had an out of body experience/ nde. I was run over, killed, left for dead, in a coma for 5 months. All I can say is there are so many different things that we experience here and especially beyond. The one thing I can say is we all are lied to.

I put it out there to God & my angels to please direct me where to click. I felt a impression that was also a thought that said click on the first one you see (I was on TH-cam) and then the next one will be for you. INFORMERCIAL FOR HIS 2 BOOKS drove me crazy! I've listened to him several times now, trying to get extra information about the afterlife but it's the same story as though it's rote learning, throughout the whole interviews. The only differences are the additional plugs for his books. So many others who tell their stories without constantly selling their books so often throughout their interviews. If this guy is so much into money, he should either go back to neuroscience or sell cars or real estate!

Dr. Eben Alexander's experience showed human consciousness "collapses the wave function" to create "hard reality." Our consciousness is a work of cocreation, a concept that continually popped up in my poetry, seemingly out of thin air. Our bodies are mortal, but our spirit is Immortal--Then I discovered my poetry was Gnostic, but I had not known what Gnosticism was about. Then I began to understand the “dazzling darkness” I had witnessed in meditation, and the weird poetry many found so evocative. More details in my second book, Surviving the Micronova: This Train is on the Tracks"

It's a very difficult time for all of us here right now- but it's a great awakening. The way ahead is through the pain and if you hold on you will amazingly find yourself whole and healed. We are going through this together. Never doubt that your future is beautiful with so much peace of mind and love and it need not be far away. Choose some lovely healing night music online or some natural sounds such as sea or rain sounds with subliminal affirmations to play as you sleep or relax. Pray often. Ask your guardian angel to hold you in a comforting embrace as you sleep. Walk in nature and take deep healing air into your lungs. Ask for healing of body and mind from the universe or your God. Try some qigong movements every day for healing energies to move through your body. Learn to love your precious divine self. Be gentle and loving toward yourself and allow no hatred or bitterness to be in your precious mind. Love is the healing power. Anger, bitterness, etc is harming you in body and mind- and believe me I know all about that. Bless you. You came from love, you live in love and you return to love- as do we all. Prayers are going out to you. This transition is not easy but it will be soo great. Relax and have faith.xx

I sincerely appreciate your testimony about your NDE and the perspective on consciousness and life after death.
Here I have a baffling part in your NDE and consciousness that you had during your journey through heaven please.
Unlike others with NDES, you say that you were ego unconscious, which means you didn't know who you were and made me baffle and uneasy.
Your NDE is quite different from others in that you were brain dead during the 7days of coma. Could it possibly be the reason why you didn't know who you were during your NDE?
If so, could it not suggest that your consciousness in NDE was still under the influence of brain function?
I recently lost my mother to heaven and really hope that she can recognize me as well as herself in heaven.
I appreciate your response in advance. Pl

The part I can't quite get over is the significant differences from one patient to the next. If this was all true surely there would be major similarities with every NDE. I get there are similarities but there are also major differences that wouldn't be there if it was a standardized process.
Not to mention the fact he had a lot of drugs flowing through his system while in that coma.

    • @christineleblond7777
      @christineleblond7777 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Loris Lad we are all at varying degrees of intelligence and progression, so all NDEs are based on what the person is ready to receive, what they need to know at that time, and almost an endless amount of variables.
We are never given more than we need at the moment, so that is why NDEs aren’t carbon copies of each other.
We are all individuals, God meets us in the level we are at at that moment, and not everyone needs to know more than what they are given/experiencing at that time in their life.
It’s actually a Gift to have an NDE specific to you, personally. God is a God of order so even human experience and every spiritual experience is what you need based on many factors.. including what your mission in life is etc. Some could not handle being given more.. so that’s part of why NDEs are similar but can be vastly different as well.

I dont know what to think --- all of this is closed end and personal. With that said, all people are in need and all want to believe in an after life and of course they want to see lost family and God and so they wish for these events and well they think they have them sometimes and it may be true but it might not be and it also may be a sort of wish fufillment process. I tend to be skeptical obviously, but I believe we have free will ---- but we do not make our lives. Others make it for us ---- friends family and people we never meet. The major life events are prepared and made for us somehow --- like the classical idea of fate or destiny, and we exercise our free will within that constraint ----------- and that may be large and wide, depending on the courage and luck or chances we perceive, but within the ultimate limitations set out for us by apparent chance, time, fate and destiny. Those are if only apparent very big constraints.
The early Greeks [Homer etc ] and civilizations believed in constraints, in a pantheon of gods who controlled human fate and destiny rather arbitrarily. While the gods may have departed personal closed end fate and destiny remain.

But aren’t most religious people just that in culture. Most Christians aren’t sure what they believe in but they fiercely support ‘their team’.

God saved him so he could tell people that the physical realm is not the end, that there is God. That one passage from a Pauline epistle isn't opposed to what Dr. Alexander went through. It was a near death experience. He didn't die.

I’m very skeptical about his story. His career was derailing before his episode-and his story doesn’t quite add up-in fact the ER doc that looked after him admitted Alexander embellished and made up some of the story. Sketchy indeed.

He was in a medically induced coma and it shut down his brains executive functioning and default mode network. This causes hallucinations. (Mushrooms do the same thing). He didn’t die, in that his heart stopped yet he makes people think he had a NDE. He doesn’t meet the standard criteria of the Greyson scale. It appears he found another way of making a living given his medical career got derailed by two malpractice lawsuits.

I believe God restored you to health, but after that you started to mix things up. That's my opinion. God speaks to us through the Word of God in plain and simple ways. There is no need to complicate God with meditations and reircanations. This is not in the Bible. I recommend Kenneth E. Hagin, who was healed and preached a clear gospel from the Bible for the rest of his life.

Which you see in the afterlife is what you see. It's because of you the way you believe it's not everybody's Believe and it's not what everybody is gonna See Reincarnation is real, you'll be reincarnated. You see what you're expecting. Until finally, you're show the truth. So what you saying is not what Everybody is going to experience

Perhaps it's my British cynicism but Americans in this situation always seem to be 'pushing' a product, usually a book.

Perhaps. He is a neurosurgeon by training who came out with this story being in heaven and back. His colleagues were convinced he was still really sick, like coocoo sick, after his miraculous return. His wife left him for the same reasons, afraid to be associated with a lunatic. If this guy is not for real then nobody is.

When I found his book it had just came out - I was READY for another revelation and there it was at kingsoopers - I held that book everywhere I went anticipating the next chapter and I was heavily empowered as the story went on ! His Experiences Are Reality
