You’re gonna be better plumber man because you get to experience cast iron on the daily! Lol but I recommend Milwaukee that’s all I own power tool wise. Dewalt is coming behind them with plumbing products too but in my opinion…NOTHING BUT HEAVY DUTY! 😎😤😂
The escutcheon plate only has to come off if the wall cavity is too big. Sometimes the valves stick out like this and also the pin was already removed by customer. Thanks for watching.

The escusion is supposed to come off so you can pull the retainer pin holding the cartridge. You drill as a last resort.
