Fighting for land compensation after taking property compensation?? Then VK area should stop asking for development if they are so greedy ...even property compensation is also exageratted, paying 50 60 lakh for wooden house is too much.....the only solution now is.. just do blacktoping on the existing road instead of widening ....Greedy people....Landowners are always obstacle to development in Nagaland...
As a sensible Nagas and as sensitive the issues, let us not judge on one side of story. Both side of story should be heard. So lets suggest NLTV as to who should be interview one after the other. The matter should be solved once and for all.
I feels EAC of the VK Town should be taken into account. If no satisfactory reply then DC Zunheboto should be approach.
My question is , why is the government still silent on this matter ? Even after a series of stories from both sides .

First of all, it'll be good if Nagaland PWD give a public statement and clarify it, because NPWD is the main in-charge to look after road construction in Nagaland, the Department will have all the knowledge with regards to it.
As we listen to both the parties, it looks like the issues started from the very beginning, which is "survey," and it involves technical teams from the concern department to assets it.
Until and unless NPWD clarify it, there'll be no proper solution to address the issues. And it will create more enmity and confusion among different groups especially in VK area, and construction of the National Highway in that area will be further delay.
Instead of commenting on someone’s personality,behaviour,appearances or talking style…
I think we need to address the major issue that’s being discussed…

When we take a ride in this road we see that from Doyang bridge Wokha district the road is good and from Longkhum village Mokokchung district it's first class but in between it's VK area Zunheboto district and the road is just pathetic. I appeal to our Sumi brothers to please open your eyes and for the greater good of all, set aside personal interest of some individuals and help government built a good road for once. I appreciate the Aos for always setting aside their personal interest for the greater good especially when it comes to development in their areas and district. One reason why they are the most advance tribe in our State.

2. As far as I know, DPR(Detailed Project Report) and ROW (Right Of Way) usually handed over to contractor after signing agreement with concern Department.

Quality of the road will be compromised if you demand high compensation.

My advice .... Do not approach any administrative officer nor the MLAs or any Munister. Almost every concerned higher authorities are directly or indirectly involved. If you fight this case with the backing of these any officer, mark my word, you would end up your Rights through compromise with a small profit that is less than u deserve.
So, the best road to this is ... Contribute maximum amount of money among yourselves and Approach the Right Lawyer.

This shouldn't be about politics or the personal enmity between the Akukaüs (GBs) but this is a classic case of some individuals in the hierarchy taking advantage at the cost of the poor villagers.
