@@earnestpeeplesjr8948 D'ville is in division 1, and DeSoto is in division 2. There is a Division 1 state champ, and a division 2 state champ. Just like last year, both teams will win the state championship in their respective divisions. They won't see each other again no matter what happens.
These kids are ridiculously talented. I played for a top notch small hs in South Jersey many years ago and these kids look like college players compared to us. That being said, these high school games also resemble a fucking circus now, seems like it’s more about the individual player or the fans than the team

It won’t happen. Desoto is a lock for D2 and Duncanville is a lock for D1. That’s how they were both able to win a state championship last year.
When deion Sanders went to Coach Colorado, he said that skill players are good everywhere in college, but the big schools have that beef on the offensive and defensive line and that's the difference. As a varsity coach, I've always noticed that the larger schools just due to their numbers, have bigger players because they have more guys to choose from. You can see that DeSoto had those big boys on both lines, probably a good size school.

I will say this congratulations on a wonderful season. However, if you really think your the best come to Southern California and play Mater dei or Jon bosco or centennial or northern ca and play de la sal or any top ranked team in that state. They are the kings of the national stage and until beaten by a school from Texas they will remain the kings. There is one school outside of California that has my respect and that is bishop Gorman of Nevada. Those young men can play and they may be the best at the moment.

Edit: Not Longview, but Denton Guyer, who were arguably more dominant and #1 in Texas until Desoto beat them in a huge semifinals upset!

@@carlosmachado3360Longview is 5A. May be 6A next year due to increased enrollment. Longview was elevated to 6A earlier but the DFW schools protested and challenged their enrollment numbers (illegals and out of district charter school students) to keep the Lobos 5A.
