Dr. Buzzard’s Savanna Band is my absolute fave LP....every song, especially ‘Sour & Sweet’ + ‘Sunshower’ ‘Hard Times’...... I can listen to the whole LP 6 hrs straight. REAL instruments, great delivery by great musicians.
When I was a kid, Saturdays was our day for chores. My little brother and I would debate over who would clean the bathroom and who would clean the kitchen. Mom would put on music and we would all proceed to tidy up our little NYC, five story walk up, apartment. This song was one of my absolute favorites. Actually the entire album. I would slightly shake my hips (not too much, didn't want mom accusing me of being too grown) while drying the dishes and imagine what Tommy Mottola looked like walking down a dirt road looking for the lady he lost 2 months ago. Great memories. Great music. All hail the queen, Miss Cory Daye!!!
She's still got 'IT' and is just as amazing as ever - Cory Daye shaped a lot of memories for me, and her presence is just incredible. I would love for them to do a full tour - so I could have the privilege of hearing her & the rest of the Coconuts/Dr. Buzzard's together again.
Omg; am soaring with delight; I love love love Cory Daye, the Kid, the Coconuts, the band. All members of Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band; you're still the best!!!
When the world reopens and shows return, this is what I will travel miles to see. Cory Daye and August "Kid Creole" Darnell of Dr. Buzzard's Original Savanah Band together, yes!
Big fan of Dr. Buzzards Original Savanah Band and All The Spin Offs. Cory Was Not In Good Form This Night, But I Remember Back In The Day, When She Use To Make Me Swoon With That Sultry Voice. Love You Cory! August, Mickey, Stoney and Coati. My Musical Inspirations. Thanx
Tbh I think she's struggling to be heard above the band, and thats causing her vocal problems. Everyone knows Cory is better than this and if she can't hear herself then that's not her fault. I don't think what the band is playing is even recognisable until she starts to sing.
I'm actually sad to see this...they should have never broken up. I ran into Corey Day on 8th Street just before she was releasing her Solo album that didn't click....Savannah Band was a snapshot in time that will never happen again. My fondest memory is dancing with them at This And That Gallery Inc. (The Gallery) private club in Soho....
now this is a must see show.kid Creole and the coconuts,dr buzzard original Savannah band, cory dayne, this is slamming show.kid Creole one of the greatest ever
Sounds fine to me! I smiled all the way through. Actually teared up a little when Cory Daye came out. I am a LIFELONG Dr. Buzzard OSB enthusiast. Their sound will NEVER be duplicated.
Love those guys & Cory. I used to know Stoney, his bro & Cory who visited My Boyfriend Artist Peter Max & I Love this song & they were so kool 🌹❤️🔥🎹🎤🎵🕊️🎶🥁🎸
Corey is a shadow of her old self, I heard she went through some serious illness and it took her voice and range. Just nice to see shes still around :)
I haven't seen them since 1977 when I went to Burbank for their second album. My first wife use to baby sit for Andy's girl friend back then on N Hobart in Los Angeles
GoodGod, give Cory a break! She old peeps. I still love the fact that she still alive and still performing. Of course the range willbelost over time. Just enjoy the moment.
Who is that *person* next to the cameraman, singing along? Yeesh! It's hard enough to find one's note with those unusual voicings. I mean... And I ADORE Cory Daye!
I don't think Cory can hear herself...a bit pitchy...possibly because the venue needs better monitors for the lead. It still was wonderful to see and hear her!
I don't know that was your sister on your wife, in the seventies we wanted to dance, I got 4G phone,, for years how much does Mark need to upgrade your phone
I love this song, I love Cory, I love the Kid and all the great musicians and songs, but I'm sorry, Cory is flat-out wasted. You can see Kid creole is trying to help her out with the cues. If you've seen the other clip, when Stephanie Fuller turns up, the energy level goes through the roof. And shes not even a singer.

1976 for one night only, must've been fun. I hated disco but liked this song.

What a joy to see her perform again.
Made me cry when Cory took to the mic. I'd have melted into a puddle had I been there to see her live.

Lovely to see them, classic! Brooklyn memories; of my youth

@Case Leonard Happy to help :D
Agreed

She still sounds great. What a performance! Great to hear Tighten Up too. Were there any special guests I wonder...
They were outside the box in style , musical approach and dress and they were well received .
Some of the best songs🎉
This is truly history in the making. Glad to see it.
Her voice is going but she's still awsome. I love these guys. Such memories. Good job!!!

I absolutely agree you be blessed and your family
What a SHOW!! OMG!! Cheers from Mexico City!
Glad to see the magic is still there.

She is GREAT!!! It's great to see her 😀
I miss BB Kings. I wish I was at this show. Such a great classic song. I love Cory Daye.
What a nigth, what a moment. Veeeeery good!
I LOVE CORY DAYE! SOOOOOOOO UNDERRATED!!!
Lucky crowd! Love it all!
I wish I was there!!! History indeed!
I had always wondered if the two groups were tied to each other somehow. Dr Buzzard's album was the first one I ever bought! Love these guys!!!
Kid Creole is a natural born entertainer. Smooth...
That bass player makes me happy
You can't expect it to sound like the original recording. Still,it swings Cory sounds sweet.
Sounds fine to me! I smiled all the way through. Actually teared up a little when Cory Daye came out. I am a LIFELONG Dr. Buzzard OSB enthusiast. Their sound will NEVER be duplicated.
No, she didn't. You obviously have no understanding of pitch. Sounds like a bad karaoke-singing drunk lady.
Fantastic absolutely Fantastic !
Thank you for sharing !
I was there and patiently waited after the show to meet Ms. Daye!!!
Love those guys & Cory. I used to know Stoney, his bro & Cory who visited My Boyfriend Artist Peter Max & I Love this song & they were so kool 🌹❤️🔥🎹🎤🎵🕊️🎶🥁🎸
She obviously doesn't sound like she did on the record 40 years ago, but this is still absolute magic.
Corey is a shadow of her old self, I heard she went through some serious illness and it took her voice and range. Just nice to see shes still around :)
Her presence is still as commanding. It is expected for range to change with age, but she sounds fine to me!
What a treat!!!
WOW ! she's amazing when she sings this live :
Thanks so much for sharing this. I was lucky enough to be there. Magical night for sure.
Good to see old school kicking it, even if there were some serious pitch issues.
they should have lowered the key to her voice range...
It was a whole step down from the original recording.
Gave me memories and goosebumps! Thank you
Absolutely love these guys...gr8 to see so many fab musicians on stage at once.!!! they;l be backkklol .....xoxo
Totally Recommendable
yes ,OMG! She still has it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very cool!!!
Always a legend sound the same from the 70's era.
Man i love cory daye wow
tour!
I was there...Great Concert Yall!🥁🎤🥥
Flawless!!!!
OMG wish I could have been there, I would have sorting a bad ass Zoot Suit
Look at August! Sharp as EVER!
I haven't seen them since 1977 when I went to Burbank for their second album. My first wife use to baby sit for Andy's girl friend back then on N Hobart in Los Angeles
Wow! Brings back memories of NYC. Vocals a little off but still love it.
Love you momma Daye 🌹🙏🏽🤗👑
Cory Daye a born entertainer.
That’s so cool
Corey sounds as good as ever. I'm so impressed she can still hit those notes so exact.
Uh...no. I appreciate her efforts, but apparently, you have no ability to hear keys.
@@dme1016 Shes been seriously ill
@@peoplessound3335 Sorry to hear that.
When did you start losing your hearing?
GoodGod, give Cory a break! She old peeps. I still love the fact that she still alive and still performing. Of course the range willbelost over time. Just enjoy the moment.
A little off but love her performance wow. Love it
Who is that *person* next to the cameraman, singing along? Yeesh! It's hard enough to find one's note with those unusual voicings. I mean... And I ADORE Cory Daye!
💕 💞 💓 💗 💖
Awesome. What is the name of the song she is singing?
Where Was Coati Mundi ? not the same without his dance Moves
I thought Kid (August retired) glad to see him again. coming to chicago?
Did she sing Deputy of Love?.. .love this video
No. That was Fonda Rae.
Walking over the line of being on key, but....good to see her.
Something isn't right here. Something's not in the right key !?
bootsamou I agree
I think Cory is struggling to be heard above the band causing it to all sound strange
Bleedin Nora lol
They should just get the old NYC lineup/team together one more time, for an album and a few shows, including Coati Mundi etc.
Definitely some nice coconuts
The chick from the of group she sounds really good she hasn't lost her voice at all
Congratulações !!!
Ex Sr Buzzart's
Cory Daye Was Meant to Sing This Song
not just her fault what song is the band playing?
I think tgere is a problem with tge monitors . She sounds a little flat . She still great .
tubagee I agree, but she's the bomb
OMG
I don't think Cory can hear herself...a bit pitchy...possibly because the venue needs better monitors for the lead. It still was wonderful to see and hear her!
The band was tight but she sang in another key for both songs. Was difficult to listen too
njtrammell I agree
Shes in her 60s now. Gotta make allowances for age.
She tried bless her heart😒😩❤
Tommy Mottola, Mariah Carey, and Lisa Clark disliked this video.
Locutus Berry Haha
Locutus Berry.....oooo🤭
wish they'd done "Sour And Sweet" instead.
Bleedin Nora lol
TOMMY MOTTOLA?? ISN'T THAT, MARIAH'S X HUSBAND/PRODUCER??
Waited years to see her live and judging from this, well it was disappointing
Good effort, but age has taken it's toll. She was not in good form. The Kid looks good, but Cory singing.... well as you can see & hear...
I don't know that was your sister on your wife, in the seventies we wanted to dance, I got 4G phone,, for years how much does Mark need to upgrade your phone

This was NOT that bad.
Sad
poor Cory is done
Doowopper45 Haha
Everybody gets old bro, the song came out in 76
wow she still sounds great !
Old Father Time caught up to Cory and you can hear it
