I’ve listened to this many times over the last couple of years. It never gets old. If you haven’t made Jesus your Lord and Savior invite Him into your life today. He will write your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Ask Him to forgive and deliver you. He wants to Sozo you. Look it up. It is the Greek word translate as “save” and “healed” in the New Testament. It means to make you whole, body, mind, and spirit. God will enter in to EVERY area of your life for good. He will hear your prayer no matter what you have done. He loves you. Around the time they first met -- at 'Mr. Guitar's request -- Chet confided to Doyle Dykes he particularly admired Doyle's reverential delivery of hymns and Songs of Faith. Late in life, someone asked Chet Atkins "Is there anyone you would pay to see?" Without thinking about it, Chet said "Oh, someone like Doyle Dykes." How Chet would have loved this, including as it does some of Chet's signature thumb-picking -- even as Mr. Dykes makes these "Treasures of the Spirit" all his own. Incidentally, if you don't have the album of that title from 2018 go find it! The one with the "White Rose for Heidi" cover painting by Matisse, Pierre Henry -- yes, THAT Matisse family, grandson of the iconic French artist whose wife Jeanne wanted her husband to gift Doyle Dykes with the original painting. Doyle's biggest fans in France!

I love the sound of those dearmond pickups Doyle. I wish I had these in my Gretsch G6120. I’ve always preferred the extra twang from those pickups versus the filtertrons. Beautiful melody, beautiful playing sir. Happy Easter. God bless.
