Our apartment complex recently installed smart locks leaving a huge gap between the door and the frame. I can feel cold air blowing in on cold days. I'll definitely install weather stripping. I hope to find a color that matches my door. Thanks so much for the instructions. I'm a single woman who's not handy at all

This is an easy job. You don't need to be hand to do this one.
      Good luck with your repair.

Wow I think even I could do this! I too appreciate the direct, clear instruction and I'll remember that part about cutting that top portion at an angle so there's no gap between those 2 pieces. Thanks for this video 🙂

Plain talk - good direction- and a “can do” encouraging attitude!

I like your attitude about doing what you can without paying somebody else! My husband won't try anything, so consequently we always pay more than we should!

I just installed mine. Thanks for the help! Question; is it a bit hard to turn the dead bolt? Mine is. Maybe it’ll be easier once the weatherstripping is compressed some.

any difference between the strips you used and the sealant paint or expanding foam sprays/nozzles in terms of performance?

I am a little confused on the question.
If I understand you right I will do my best to answer.
The strips I installed allows you to open and close the doors as much as you want.
Expanding phone would permanently seal the door shut.
      I hope that helps.
Let me know if I didn’t understand.
      Thanks for asking.

how would I know which way the hard tip goes into the slot? I am really confused. Does it matter which side facing door when shut?

This is what it should look like. ⬇️
