IIRC her Mom wanted to be an English translator at one point so she probably got her mom to help with pronunciation when she was still in school.
Ame and Subaru dynamic was great in this collab. Ame really has worked on her Japanese and can often understand the Japanese said to her. Subaru is the same, she can understand the English that Ame says, live translates for the JPbros, and often knows the English words to reply to Ame. I'm hoping they can collab more in the future, seems like Subaru is interested in going to America and going to Ame's house

Subaru's english improved a lot. Meanwhile my Japanese is still as bad as it was 2 years ago. I remember Subaru and Ame had a conversation on Sport Festival like 1.5 year ago where they are both were perfectly fine understanding each other.
Force yourself to watch non subtitled Japanese streams. Notice common words like “oh I’ve heard that before” and google what they are. If you learn 2 or 3 words per stream that’s a plus. It helps to ask yourself the next day “what were those words I learned yesterday, again? Slowly the gaps between words will get smaller and smaller. You won’t speak Japanese from this but you’ll be able to pick out little phrases and sentence fragments and have some idea of what is going on. This is the stage I am at. (Hololive did more for my Japanese in 3 years than 25 years of anime watching, which did almost nothing)
there's a pretty good guide at learnjapanesedotmoe but really it's best to immerse yourself in the language, because you'd actually be using it putting off using the language until you are "fluent" is not a good idea because your not doing the most important part of learning a skill: practice it'd be like training to run a marathon by only reading up on the best way to improve your stamina and running speed without actually using that info
To be fair, 1 oz is about 30 ml, so a 20oz coffee would be 600ml. Yeah, cup sizes larger than 20 oz are pretty common in the US. Pretty sure a Starbucks iced coffee is larger than 20 oz... sorta weird that I can almost perfectly image 20 oz in my head because it's such a common drink size.

not really true my guy their are many foods in America that was invented in America. for example anything that is maple syrup flavored is American since Canadians AKA Americans are the ones who started cultivating the stuff. pecan pie and many other pie recipes originate from America. milkshakes. ranch dressing. so almost anything that has ranch dressing in it is American by your peoples logic lol.

wow, Subaru's English is actually really good, she can totally communicate! when she started she was having trouble reading sentences and was using google translate all the time but she did all that without it, she learned a lot since then! also even here in Canada we don't have those American sizes but i doubt it would be fun to eat more than you can. Actually they were made in America,the reason people are confused is because the burger patty was invented in Germany but the dish was either made by a German immigrant in America or an American who’s family has been in the country for a while,it just so happens they share the exact same name(until you add the word bacon or cheese) so people get really confused also it was most likely named after a place in America and not the famous German city

This has been true going back to the relatively early days of this country, when settlers from Europe could get large amounts of farmland extremely cheaply and wild animals were extremely plentiful to hunt for food. As a result, we developed a food culture based around that plenty. Simple really.
Also. The dust bowl drought and great depression. Food got expensive in the early/mid to 30s. The big water projects of the new deal ended that. But food became a status symbol. Having lots of it meant wealth. The economic explosion was the 40s and 50s, which was just in time for the kids of the great depression to have money and start expanding portion sizes after a childhood of little. The portion sizes of drinks in specific is new though. Last couple decades. That one is pure marketing.

If you're eating pulled pork, chances are it's Carolinas-style. Kansas City and Texas both use beef for the most part. Memphis usually does chicken, beef, and pork all at once.

American barbeque is slow cooked (4-12 hours), mostly smoked, and the difference styles have different variations of sauces and rubs that go on the meat. I find Texas style is a tad more vinegary that Memphis which has a richer molasses flavor (again IMO). I'm not exactly a barbeque expert though, just an Aussie that lives in the US.

There's at least five different types of barbeque in the U.S. Texas, Kansas City, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Memphis being the most common found. If you're eating pulled pork, chances are it's Carolinas-style. Kansas City and Texas both use beef for the most part. Memphis usually does chicken, beef, and pork all at once.

I honestly prefer Memphis style barbeque over Texas, although Texas bbq is a close second. St Louis style is boring in comparison.
As a non-American I wonder, what makes Texas bbq difference from regular barbecue?
@@bennydelon What American's call "barbeque" is different from the definition of say Brits or Aussies call barbeque (which American's call "grilling"). American barbeque is slow cooked (4-12 hours), mostly smoked, and the difference styles have different variations of sauces and rubs that go on the meat. I find Texas style is a tad more vinegary that Memphis which has a richer molasses flavor (again IMO). I'm not exactly a barbeque expert though, just an Aussie that lives in the US.
@@Texaboose Thanks for the explanation! The way you describe it American barbeque seems similar to the way we prepare it in Argentina. We usually don't use rubs on the meat though, just sea salt.

Serious question, is Lasagna authentic Italian cuisine or is it an American invention by Italian immigrants? I know that the are a lot of American dishes that are like that, especially Italian ones.
America is truly a melting pot when it comes to food. But in this case, lasagna was first made in the home country. It became industrialized in America.
