I've got Halfords tools over 25 years old, the only 2 items I've damaged was from abuse. One was a socket ratchet it broke by smashing it with a lump hammer and the other a small ratchet spanner I broke with with a greedy bar. Brilliant tools and amazing value.
i recently got the 36 piece bit set and it hasn’t let me down yet, most of my tools currently are halfords as i’ve just started out as an apprentice technician but they are great and the same warranty as snap on 👍
I think they've sorted this now - they make a 36 inch one now, you can get side cabinets to bring it up to the larger size - I was tempted but i've stuck to my normal one as really the only thing I have that doesnt fit is some spirit levels and some pry bars, my longest breaker bar fits diagonally
I think the good thing with these sets is they pack away nicely with the foam inserts and you can build them up as you need them... I'm forever replacing missing tools but sometimes the big kits are just too much!
Also the pricing and frequent offers. I use these, Proxxon and Knipex as my tool brands and I often find myself going to these sets as they are good value for money and well made, good if I can’t quite justify the more expensive brands.

They have a pretty complete range, the main one I wish they would make is a set of picks. And maybe extra long and stubby spanners. When i've been building out my toolkit i've actually been comparing it to the Teng 1001 piece set you can buy as that pretty much has every mechanics tool you can think of.
I’ve only snapped 1 Halfords torque socket and 1 1/2 breaker bar in 13 years of being a HGV mechanic.. they replaced it over the counter in 3 mins with no receipt.
I have 100s of pounds worth of these all inside a cabinet within a shed and now most are going rusty as they don't like condensation? They have never been left outside and always cleaned once used? Halfords with not warranty these against rust so now I've got to try and remove the rust somehow?
Silica Gel packets are often found in vitamins or food stuffs, but they are tiny. Go online and you'll find packets up to 1kg each. I like to use a few 250g ones here and there.
Halfords advanced tools are pretty good, even better value if you have a trade card. I like the fact they come in foam trays, no more lost tools ( possibly) Excluding 10mm sockets from that last comment, they seem to di ap e r at th dr p of a h t😁
They seem to have changed the design of the trays, I've got the imperial spanner set with two that are overlayed on each other Got their electrical screwdriver set and their torx screwdriver set too, get sets that get used regularly Edited to say my impact socket set is the same and also gets a fair bit of use, not so sure on the dull finish but it's got more grip than the shiny sockets
The dull finish is too differentiate between impact and normal sockets, this is industry standard as a normal socket can shatter and potentially seriously injure someone if used on an impact gun
Can't go wrong with halfords advanced. Don't matter how you were using the tool when it goes wrong or if your the original buyer just take it in store and they order you a new tool
Maybe best to buy some shadow foam and just make your own. Or a socket rail. The problem with big sets is they come with a load of junk you don't need like allen keys and screwdriver bits
Sonic, Halford and Wera all use the same sized foam cutouts and similar tool cabinets. I saved over €1,000 by finding the same cabinet by some off brand, and I use the Wera foam inserts/tools and of course they fit like OJ's glove.
@@ZGoddessLola the brand of mine is Fixman. But I am not in the USA. Just look for trolley tool cabinets with similar corners, that's how I found mine.
making all torx tamper proof is stupid, there torx bits dont seem to last long as it is, hollowing the middle out just makes them snap even quicker. yes i own some halfords tools but thankfully pretty much all myn is from 2007 or so when it was all professional stuff which seems better build
For the price, halfords are brilliant
Defo 👍🏼

Agreed! Won’t touch snap-on as they’re warranty is a pain in the ass
I’ve got a lot of the modular sets and the 175 kit by far the best value tools I’ve ever owned lifetime warranty
Would be a dream come true to own a set up like that , I love Halfords tools
What Halfords need to make is a bigger toolbox like 55 inch or something
Top kit for small engine guys and girls I like the way you roll James 👍
Thank you Mark 👌🏽🤩
The one thing Halfords have to improve on is making a 50inch tool box with long drawers as a tec I will reach for Halfords over snap on

Exactly Jordan. Glad you liked it 🙏🏼
The other good thing about them is that you can easily tell which tool you've lost and then spend 4 hours looking for it 🤣

cant beat these sets, ideal even for professional use, plus the lifetime warranty, ideal
The modular sets are ok if you plan what u need as there big kit has most of what u need. Then just add the modular extras. Best bit is the warranty
100% thank you 👍🏼

A tool for nearly every job. 👍
Just missing a pick set and a pry bar set 😂
Just been and bought the 12 piece combo and flex head wratchet spanners. That collection though 😍
Can't beat them for the price but they should add a crows feet set and a multi spline set
100% agree! I hope they see this 👍🏼
Agreed
Hi James Nice Video thats a lot of tools😀 Thanks again
Thank you Darren 😎

Buy some Silica Gel Desiccant packs and put them in your toolbox. I have the same issue with all my tools and this has solved the issue 👍🏼
WD40 and a steel wire brush will get rid off it, and then like machinery nation says some silica gel

Hahaha blooming 10mm sockets 😂
Trade card and army discount, I saved hundreds

I'd like to buy the spanner set but they only go to 19mm. Why don't they do the trays from 21mm?
Nice.
How much did this all set you back??
I think it was around £700 😎
Can't go wrong with halfords advanced. Don't matter how you were using the tool when it goes wrong or if your the original buyer just take it in store and they order you a new tool
how much does this all come to? 😂 buying my first tool box and what is unneccessary to me out of all that?
looks amazing
Cheers John 😎
I'm looking for a 1/2 inch set with no skips like 19/32 and 21/32 and 25/32
Maybe best to buy some shadow foam and just make your own. Or a socket rail. The problem with big sets is they come with a load of junk you don't need like allen keys and screwdriver bits
Wera from Germany
As the Bishop said to the Actress “I need a bigger one”, toolbox that is
Always 😂
These tools look amazing
Thanks German 😎
11 yrs now I've never broken any halfords advanced tools, even with very heavy duty work they're all still going
That’s good going 👍🏼 thanks mate.
Now thats a nice set of tools, they looked good in the tool chest.
Semi huh?? 🤣🤣
I do in most videos if I’m honest 😂😂
🤣🙈🤣
Halfords need to improve there new tool boxes they can’t hold as much as there old ones (weight wise)
Dont forget ,nip back and stock up on extra 10mm's 😂
@3:15 - the difference is one is metric and the other imperial lol
oooooh all kinds of goodies are you thinking of expanding to the U S ? 🤷🤩 like eating bacon ain't it 😏
Yeah haha, that is a question for Halfords, but I doubt it 😂
Looks like Sonic tools. At least the Sonic is more colorful 😂

I like Mick's Home-made ones Better!!
Yeah they were cool. I believe that was shadow foam he used 👍🏼
What more could he want…

Yeah I see your point. So much stuff unfortunately comes with tamper proof bits these days.
3:15 I wonder what the differences could be?…. Got to be the spark plug sockets 🤡
W
Got to love all this "tool porn". 😍
For sure 😇
How much did all that cost ?
I think around £600-700
What are they missing? Quality.....
switched to bluepoint and feels like a rolls royce compaired to the halfords tractor
