The Mako Tbh Cause thats a Little bastard of a Sniper rifle tbh Might be one of the more Powerful Bolt actions in game due to 0 Sway on the rifle and can go from 4x to 12x zoom and has a 6x Thermal Sight for Spotting targets at Night is a Rifle you should go over
Figured I'd finally bite the bullet and ask since I couldn't find it on my own; where did you get your intro music from? The fact that I've seen it being used in a perfect loop for longer intro scenes before effortlessly shift to the part during your title cards makes me think that you may have made it yourself. If so then I had no idea that you had those music creation chops; well done!
How about talking about the fact that all the SRs (except for the Mako) are worst version of the BAR200? Even at longer ranges (where damage drops) the 50 extra m/s will help you hit your target more accurately? And to go even further, is has better accuracy when moving ^^ From my own experience, I wouldn't run any SRs if not to have them aurax in favor of the BAR200, even on my DMR build
CB-X75 is quickly becoming one of my favorite weapons in the game. The thing shreds, it's super accurate, has super quick reload and like other NSO weapons, has 20m max damage range with SPA equipped. Meaning you can shred people up to 20m at 800rpm with laser accuracy. Playing Light Assault with this thing is a joy, you can easily take 1v2 against heavies and come up on top if you hit the head. Absolutely bonkers weapon. Love it. Only downside: super low ammo pool. As LA you'll run out of ammo pretty quickly forcing you to retreat often to find ammo packs.
Yeah it's quickly becoming one of my favourites as well. Great at isolating targets and quickly sending them to the respawn screen. Throw in the ext. mags and it gains just liiiiitle bit more flexibility.
It's pretty nice how they managed to fit even more weapons in their strict design philosophy and make them feel different enough from everything else. Great video Cami!
Yeah I was kind of amazed that the NSO gear was able to feel so unique, despite their clear design crossover with the other factions in some ways. Cheers mate!
Not surprised you list the XMG-100 first, it's a ridiculous starter weapon! The NSO also have *incredible* ironsights so folks can save their certs if they are OK with a 1.35x optic.
It goes up there as one of the best starter weapons in the game without a doubt, and the default sights are incredible across the range. Definitely worth highlighting.
I tried playing recently, and there was an NC-aligned NSO Medic who kept single-bursting me down with a Yumi. For as bad as the weapon feels when you first start using it, there's no denying it packs a punch
You hit the nail on the head early on: the starting weapons for NSO are absolute bangers (save maybe the starting sniper...). Except buying the Mako and using my account-wide Pilot, I haven't touched anything. They're just so damn intuitive and easy to use. Got me thinking on that full-auto scout rifle now though....
Over a thousand hours into NSO, watching this video just today. very agreeable picks, all these weapons are truly amazing to use in their own ways, the BAR-200 was my first auraxium in all of Planetside. I would add to that list, the trusty Harbinger sidearm, a pretty hard hitting pistol comparable to an Underboss with more rounds per mag. I didn't give a single try to the NSO SMGs, and I guess it is time to do so!
I can't wait till this hits console next century lol. I'm looking forward to being a true mercenary, just a little less fleshy. I already kind of like playing NSO so having all these new toys is gonna be loads of fun.
BAR-200 is probably my favorite weapon in the game right now. I used to be a vandal lover, but the B200 took the cake. Its just very satisfying to use, headshots never felt so good.
It's not particularly a standout, but I do love how all the starter NSO weapons, especially the CB-100 and XMG-100, feel really good to use in both CQB and longer range engagements, and standout in their modular sense. There may be better alternatives as they always are, but I have confidence in a CB/XMG with grip and HVA for ranged fights, while strapping a laser and SPA works in close range fights as well. (though taking advantage of that 20m min range really has it show off)
Couldn't agree more, they are very adaptable in multiple use cases. Makes for some incredible flexibility in situations where you wouldn't normally have it with other weapons. Cheers for sharing your thoughts mate!
Still prefering the ADVX Mako with the thermal sight with the infiltrator. Sure it has a max vision range of about 200m, but the option to take out targets that are nearly invisible to the environment (specially at night) is just priceless.
I bought the 3XB without really knowing what I was getting into, and boy am I having fun with it The automatic burst makes it easy to use, so a casual like me can focus more on aiming without the need to manage bursts. I also bought the BAR-200, just for the attached grenade launcher. I was a big fan of the AMR when I played TR for this very reason so I wanted to get back to some explosive shenanigans. As for the LMGs, XMG-100 is nice but I'm having more fun with the XMG-200 ; slower rof but each shot counts, it makes it very satisfying to kill with. I haven't played NC much but it feels like one of their weapons.
The new weapons are a great addition to the NSO, but I'm disappointed in the lack of standard under-barrel attachments that should have come with at 2 or 3 of these guns. That still leaves the NSO's only weapon with that option being the F---ing Yumi.
You should definitely do both! Despite its age there's nothing out there like planetside, and if you're going to do something you should definitely do it right and join the TR. Jokes aside all factions are fun, I'm just partial to my home faction
@@Gefardino the only game I know that's anywhere like this is Halo but not to the same scale. The only thing that's in the way is getting a computer that can run it. Desktops take up too much room in my house and laptops that can run PlanetSide 2 is very expensive

Man, no love for the AR-101. It is a bit of a hidden gem since with HVA ( given how the Naginata is I'm assuming SPA is the same ) the gun will drop down to 143 @ 40.16 meters ( I did the math 🙃 ) With a very forgiving recoil it gives the gun a very punchy feel to it even at longer ranges and I have been having a blast using it.
I am both excited and a bit afraid for when these guns drop on PS4. Hipfire Headshot heavies, super high sustain damage Carbines, another SMG to get bodied with.
The NSO weapons in general has lower DPS so if you feel if you're getting bodied try using high DPS weaponry to counter. Also, I'm super excited for PS4, too! Console peasants for life!
Dont be mate, the game is in a very good place now here on the pc side. Its gonna be a little crazy in the first two weeks, but later on it will get better and cooler.
I want a versatile Assault Rifle like the Gauss Rifle S or Equinox with a true underbarrel Genade Launcher. And a real one that hits hard and damages vehicles. Not one like what's on the punisher either which is really weak. I want to boop people and surprise tanks with a NSO equivalent to the weapons that are my absolute favorite guns in the game.
From the new carbines, the most i like it was the CB-200, easy kills in close mid. CB-X75 its fine, but not as good as other high rpm carbines. And CB-100, i had a hard time auraxing this, it doesn't have good damage or velocity.
I feel as if people dont give the PMG 100 that much of a shot due to the recoil, but it is essentialy a SMG with one of the fastest infantry ROF out in the field. As a ambushing weapon it can drop targets INSANELY fast with headshots. Same with cqc.
Sad (but not surprised) to not see any medic/ar weapons here. Wouldn't mind seeing a video on the newest A7 weapons tho, considering most people probably didn't even know the NS Aurax weapons existed :P -I swear the suggestion isn't because I wanna see if the Kuwa/Sesshin are good to have on my Medic-
Do you plan to play NSO for long enough to review a couple of their new araxium weapons, or even just review the old ones? I've still yet to see a video on the Sesshin forexample
You had me with the very first choice, that default LMG makes me ENJOY HEAVY ASSAULT I literally grinded betelgeuse hating the gameplay the whole time, this is what LMG's should be like!
I know i'm a couple year late tho this, but I've gotta add my two cents: NSO default weapons rock, and unlockable weapons blow pretty bad for their price. I was incredibly disappointed to unlock for example the Mako, hoping it'd be NSO Railjack, but it's far from it. The defaut sniper, SR-100 though, is easily one of the best weapons in the game, not just for snipers, but in general. PMG-3XB is a very decent weapon to unlock, and it's easily one of the better SMG's in the game, but I feel it requires infiltrator to play it right. BAR-200 is awesome for long-range medics and engineers, especially with thermal scope. However, one of the most surprising weapons to me as a sniper main was the SG-100. It's a shotgun, and it's good beyond belief. 1 light assault with SG-100 can easily dominate any capture point, and in certain base layouts, it's incredibly powerful for flanking. SG-100 is probably the most ridiculous weapon I've seen in NSO so far, it's crazy how good it is.
The cb-x75 is my fav gun its very versatile and has very good dps and like other nso weapons it super accurate and has zero recoil the dropoff tho worse than other nso weapons it still has good dropoff compared to other weapons
I have most of these weapons auraxed already. That being said, I think the base model AR-100 is very good too. Thing literally melts people. Outside of the mentioned weapons, the ARX Feynman makes the BAR-200 look like trash. The ARX- Schrodinger is absolutely bonkers in CQB but lacks the staying power for multi kills or long term engagements due to ammo.
The Feynman is just the Warden with a shorter max damage range and faster reload. And it doesn't have access to the one attachment that makes the Warden relevant.
So when you buy a weapon for your character with certs, you will gain access to that weapon on all classes that it can be used for. For example, carbines can be used on Engineer and LA, whereas SMGs can be used on all classes. However, unlocking stuff with DB gets you access to that weapon on all characters that can use it, so if you have a second NSO character you can use it there too.
I dont get why my game isnt running on high fps. my short Setup: CPU I7 10700F GPU RTX 3070 Like 60 - 100 fps but inside fights, it dies nearly. Any idea whats wrong and what options should be used?

I really want play something else besides space usa and I love playing robot characters but damn these weapons and their scopes are so ugly is making the process of adoption very hard
These ironsights are one of the most clear and unobstructive ones in the game, so I dunno where's the problem + even on standard-issue pistol you have a print saying "standard-issue pistol"... these weapons are made 1) en masse 2) cheaply 3) for robots, robots do not care about how their weapons look
I'll be honest, I have only used the AR-100 a great deal and it hasn't felt top tier for me. The AR-N203 I have had a little time with, but nothing to go writing home about yet.
Try it by yourself, it doesn't render infantry most of the time and fast pased gameplay of planetside doesn't give you even opportunity to stand still and trying to get advantage from it anyway.
Still waiting for playstation to get this update :/ Been what, about a month maybe slightly more and lost about all intrest already and not even excited for it to even hit playstation now if I'm to be completely honest...
man listening to this "review" now seems like a joke, all of the nso weapons are subpar and underperforming BADLY, the nso arsenal is considered a complete and utter joke atm in the entire community - for anyone interested the GRAND NSO BUFF - was 5 extra bullets to 2 assault rifles - useless to useless nothing changed for anyone interested there is no point in playing NSO whatsoever beside to waste your time and your teams time at the same time - as you are underperforming in each and every category(2x less kdr, 2x less spm - and this is just the average)
I have to say the starter weapon for the NSO snipers out there seems to be well for at least me. Two shot to the head which the RoF makes it easy to do those as most folks cannot dodge it once fired after the first.

yea, used to play NSO since they got Introduced, but the akward delay on the Burst kills the weapon, sure if you can time it its devastating.
Been meaning to give that one a little bit more love. Maybe soon, already got so much more stuff I am working on right now.
A full auto scout rifle that doesn't have terribad damage? My favorite.
I have really been enjoying the Mako with a 4x scope and the suppressor. It has been a lot of fun being able to engage at literally any range.
it's also fair to mention that the mako is the only boltie that has access to a ballistics computer for it's 6 and above times scopes...

LIES. The CB-X75 isn't the best NSO carbine.
...The Newton is :P
I can't comment on what I don't have ;)
Oops, you forgot the pistols 😂
Coudnt you have suggested crappy guns? Now I gotta fight better equipped NSO ;)
Mate, that would be dishonest ;)
how can you ignore the assault rifles like wut. there is honestly the best weapon in that class.
I'll be honest, I have only used the AR-100 a great deal and it hasn't felt top tier for me. The AR-N203 I have had a little time with, but nothing to go writing home about yet.
With games like warframe and apex legends coming to mobile, I'm wondering if DBG can port PS2 to mobile also
Still no ps4 update XD
comment for the almighty algorithm !!
Pls no night fights in vids. Dark screen for almost 10 min :)
My first impressions of NSO weapons are quite the same as yours.
Sadly I don't get a choice a lot of the time mate, I can only film when I can film. which sometimes means night fighting.
no assault rifles, no surprise
I personally haven't been vibing with the ARs that much, but that could change once I get to actually review them properly!
So he's just straight up wall-hacking with his FOV? Every time he hides in a corner to reload he can see through the walls
Try it by yourself, it doesn't render infantry most of the time and fast pased gameplay of planetside doesn't give you even opportunity to stand still and trying to get advantage from it anyway.
Still waiting for playstation to get this update :/
Been what, about a month maybe slightly more and lost about all intrest already and not even excited for it to even hit playstation now if I'm to be completely honest...
Hahahaha you literally can’t differentiate the guns in the thumbnail
12k+ certs damn lol
Lol..."weaponized toaster..."
man listening to this "review" now seems like a joke, all of the nso weapons are subpar and underperforming BADLY, the nso arsenal is considered a complete and utter joke atm in the entire community - for anyone interested the GRAND NSO BUFF - was 5 extra bullets to 2 assault rifles - useless to useless nothing changed
for anyone interested there is no point in playing NSO whatsoever beside to waste your time and your teams time at the same time - as you are underperforming in each and every category(2x less kdr, 2x less spm - and this is just the average)
Overall I don’t like the NSO gun play
Why?
I have to say the starter weapon for the NSO snipers out there seems to be well for at least me. Two shot to the head which the RoF makes it easy to do those as most folks cannot dodge it once fired after the first.
I'm so bummed ns still doesn't have a nade launcher attachment yet. My NC dude has 2 weapons with it atleast. Makes my sapper jobs more interesting.
Best carbine is the Newton. A review before they nerf it would be cool.
I very much doubt I will have access to it for a while sadly.
