I quilted a queen size quilt for my mother in law on a sit down machine with a 16" throat space. I used a bamboo batting. It was very luxurious, drapy, and heavy! Good thing she's a good mother in law. She was worth the struggle 😅
Watched the replay this afternoon. What a fun table runner! Same as you, I like to hang quilts behind my longarm and change them up frequently. I saw a clever idea online the other day that I want to duplicate. Install a curtain rod on the wall with typical brackets. Then attach the quilt to curtain rings that have clips on them. Thanks for the L&U. Nicely done, as always! 💜
The burnt gingerbread men. 😂😂 I have frequently looked at embossing on paper towels and toilet paper and thought “that design would be great on a quilt”
I am enjoying watching you load the quilt. Can you comment on how you've attached the long arm ruler tape to your machine? Also, I'm curious about how wide the throat space is.
Throat space is 24”, and I used simple 3M double sided tape to attach the measuring tape. I started in the middle and worked my way out to each side with many short pieces of tape. It’s sticky stuff!
can you at some point show how to put on the side clamps. I have same ones and for life of me can't get them on and show a close up of which grove they go in. and what do you use if you are using a thick backing like Minky
I do have one short episode that shows some closeups here: th-cam.com/video/qmSb-i1IS20/w-d-xo.htmlsi=h0ZDEOxeIQcMe3ok I generally don’t use them for thick velvety backings - I just use the single side clamps that came with my machine.
I enjoyed watching you quilt this motif. It's nice to find new channels that aren't just patchwork. Mahalo!
Welcome!
My problem (?) is I love to watch you quilt. I need to be practising quilting myself, but I love to watch you 😬😳😊

Oh wow. How excited was I, to hear that you're thinking of coming to Festival quilts next year. Definitely keep us updated. Thanks

Yes, that’s a super idea, but I have 0 space at the top or it shows on camera. So thumbtacks are the slimmest thing I could think of 😁
Is there a name for this table runner.
Love watching you.
Sorry I missed watching you live. Video is wonderful. Thank you
Love watching while I cross stitch. Just joined Advance!
Oh I had wrong day on calendar. Will watch it right now!

Truth! Quilting ideas are everywhere!

Hi. Can you remind me where in the advanced filaments is? I am subscribed and love it. Thanks.
It will be in the course Freehand Designs, and then look for the Filaments name.
Enjoy your videos...how high are your filament motifs?
About 1.5”. They vary quite a bit.
Could you share the name of the runner and who designed it?
It’s been added to the description. Took a minute to find the info😁

@ thank you.. that was exactly what I needed to see .. you are awesome!
Awesome video. Thank you for sharing this fabulous runner quilting.
Do you press backing before you quilt Susan ?
Not typically. Usually I lightly spritz it with water to relax the wrinkles.
Where do you purchase your batting?
Directly from Winline.com.
Love the texture your design is giving this project. Another one to try next.
