    Thank you for doing the "finger test" to check how tight the quilt is! I do this also BUT now I can tell that mine is just a little bit too tight because I set mine up just to touch the tip ends of my fingers. The Christmas Tree skirt is pretty and your quilting is lovely.

      You're so welcome! I said hexagon all the way through the video...but yes, it's an octagon. It's been a long time since elementary school.

      They're Kai brand, I think 4" with a curved and BLUNT blade. They also have curved sharp, but I really like the blunt as I'm trimming thread right against the quilt.
