It doesn’t matter which team are you rooting for, watching that the team of Czech Republic, China and Australia are playing baseball is just PURE JOY. They probably don’t have baseball as a major sport in their countries but they have huge passion and solid development with playing it. POOL B has a lot of must-see game🔥🔥
Id say its becomming a major sport in czech but we dont have a profesional league yet, only players that are playing as a job are imported players where any team can have up to 4 of them so its still mainly czech guys playing. But yea baseball in czech grew exponentially in the last 5-10 years and a lot more young guys are getting drafted and getting to play in US be it collage ball or minor league baseball.
The ABL 100% is a major sport.

As a Czech American whose folks came to the US from Bohemia at the turn of the last century I grew up watching, playing and coaching baseball ,I am loving every minute of watching these guys play. They have a passion and a love for the game that is hard not admire and love.

As a Venezuelan and baseball fan it is so exciting to see two countries with no baseball history enjoying this wonderful and very difficult sport, sooner rather than later the distances will shorten, and our Caribbean countries and the USA will have to increase their efforts to maintain their dominance. @@kyemerchant5455 China has a pretty extensive baseball history. It's just that Mao, like with most things, ruined much of Chinese culture for several decades. So baseball went through a bit of a rebirth at the beginning of the century, but it has been getting bigger and bigger

As I type this now, I am currently an American soldier stationed in germany but supporting a nato mission in slovakia. I'm on guard duty with 2 czech soldier and 1 german. I asked the Czechs if they are aware their country is in a baseball tournament. They were unaware. But this game was a great introduction to baseball.
Tell them I'm French and played a tournament in Czech Republic in 2011, they were way stronger than us and we lost all the games. The next year I went to Japan and I'm playing there for the last 10 years :D
We're huge sport fanatics, it'd probably be a safer bet to just say "yeah, we probably play that" :D

In fact, sports are not a big deal. It's just entertainment. There may not be a lot of compensation. But it can make a lot of people's emotions flutter. One of the most beautiful scenes of WBC is the scene where the mother of a player in the Czech crowd cries.

Congratulations to the Czech Republic team. Unfortunately, my team China couldn't hold on in the last innings. I stopped watching the 6th inning since China only had 1 hit (I think), but man this is baseball and you just never know what's going to happen. Also, I'm surprised by how many people were watching the game in China live. I'm not expecting us to be competitive in the future at all, but it's just exciting to see the work of those who love baseball and work hard to promote the sport in China paying off.

Man, China didn't showcase much velo from the mound with the first two pitchers. Lot of guys are gonna tee off on mid-80s without spectacular control and movement. Then that third kid came in throwing mid-90s.

I did not see the comments until the game was end, I didn't want to miss that emotion, I was happy when Czech was winning, Then I got little sad, but then" That homer in the 9th made my day. For some reasons I don't why, I was pushing for Czech. Congratulations from Dominican republic.
