I really loved this episode. It explained a lot without much dialogue. They used puppets just like in the originals and it felt very authentic. I can't wait for episode 2. They're really doing a good job building the character. I hope you enjoy this breakdown, it took a long time to make and I hope it explains a lot of things. Thanks for watching, and see you in the next video! (PS the thumbnail isn't a spoiler, we all know Boba survives the Pitt )
The Tuscan kid totally told the tribe that he killed the monster. Everyone is focussing on the youngling and is patting him on the back. No one looks at Boba (who arrived unchained). That is what made the final scene so great. Chief calls bullshit in the coolest way possible: by offering Boba a drink, wihout even looking at him.
Agreed. The Tusken's are one of my favorite things from Mando & now Boba. They are really nailing their culture in a way I never thought I would see on screen. So freaking interesting and so well done, love it.
I think the tuskens will be boba’s fett secret ally. When in dire need the tuskens will show up to tip the balance in boba’s favor, whatever the battle will be. My prediction…
I like this theory too. Or I like the theory that boba uses the tuskens to secure his crime empire. Like instead of casting away the sand people like the Hutts he’d embrace them and his grip on his empire would be super tight with them as a tool instead of an obstacle
Seeing the attack of the clones flashback where Boba was a kid was just awesome for me. I grew up on the prequels and it was so cool seeing that scene being used again.
I'm not much fun at parties.. I LOVE this too think I watch AotC when I was 7 or 8, fun fact the scene is a reshoot of the original scene from AotC its slightly longer that the scene from that movie and its awesome too see they went through and did that.
I agree with giving it an 8/10. It didn’t _need_ to be action-packed blaster fights. What we saw was Boba Fett at his lowest…his most vulnerable. Filoni is setting the stage for character development, which was severely lacking in the sequel trilogy.
I hope they keep this theme of half flashback, half current events style into the Obi-Wan show. Lots of flashbacks with Ewan and Hayden would be incredible
I interpreted that the Tusken kid was telling his people that he killed the monster. This made the kid’s reenactment of the fight that much more hilarious to me.
I think he was telling them they did it together. Which they did. He saved Boba when he stabbed the beast in the foot. Boba saves him when he chokes it out.
I liked the AOTC flashback, it just shows how much he remembers and misses his father. The sand monster looks like the Kraken from Clash Of The Titans ( 1981 ), a tribute to Ray Harryhausen. I like the part where Boba Fett strangled and killed the sand Kraken with the chain, just goes to show how tough he is even without his armor. And I was getting some The Godfather vibes when they were paying tribute to Boba Fett in this episode.
Did they use a different actor for Boba or was it a mix with VFX because Daniel Logan was in the credits. Also they did an awesome job in keeping the arena scene pretty much identical.
So stoked on how I felt after the first episode! Was very surprised! - The flashbacks were great! The Twi’lek costumes looked amazing and loved the parkour/ fight scenes.
You could say Boba was “kinder” in this episode than what we’re used to bc the events after the sarlac pit humbled him a bit. From being striped by Jawas and shackled by a CHILD tusken raider; he probably had some shock realizing he wasn’t the badass bounty hunter he knew he was. He didn’t have the respect in the flashbacks and had to earn it from the tuskens, so he may believe he needs to earn it again now as the succeeding crime lord.
@@johnnybehounek4482 I know I'm going to get hate for this comment but I am respectfully saying that No Way Home wasn't that great in term of storytelling but rather it was enjoyable because they made the movie nostalgic by putting previous actors (both heroes and villains). That's my opinion at least :).
The Tusken Raider that Boba duels has the same staff thing that Boba has when he appears in Mando. So probably Boba’s gonna be trained by those guys which explains why he’s so deadly with it in Mando
I love how when he says he was "left for dead on the sands of Tatooine" we think he just traveled the desert but this episode shows that he literally experienced almost EVERYTHING that the sands of Tatooine have to offer. Beat up by Jawas, beat up by Tusken Raiders, heat exhaustion, crazy beast animal, annoying Rodian and Tusken Mastiff. He experienced everything short of a Krayt Dragon and STILL made it. Any normal person wouldve died.
To be fair, everything we saw him go through was pretty bog standard, nothing really tested him, I could see any strong enough character swapped in his place and being able to survive relatively easily. The only thing he excelled at was blasting his way out of the sarlaac pit, and that was only because he had his gadgets. As a normal bloke he was pretty useless, just seemed to get dragged and beaten up all episode. I never got “feared bounty hunter” from him at any point. He seems really watered down
@@obiwankenobi687 i agree. He didn't seem like the world's most dangerous BH of all time. He got his ass kicked most of the episode. I think they are linking it to him being injured and not full strength. Maybe after some more bacta treatmeants, he will be back to normal.
@@olicc yea i agree. The Boba they showed in the show is pretty different from the Boba we know from the comics. I feel like youre right and they are showing weak and not at full strength instead of him being ruthless while going for Bounty's for the Empire. They need him to have some character development at least cus not many ppl know how much of a badass he truly is so they have to fully flush it out throughout the show
@@5xmasterx548 You have a good point: They are making him more realistic and less of a Jerry Sue; being that he's a main character now and not just a random bad guy, they need to make him more relatable... If everything was easy for him, he wouldn't truly have any conflict or growth for the show. but the difference between Fett and Rey is that Rey had zero training until EP9 and was just naturally good at everything, beating a Sith Lord in her first lightsaber duel. Fett was raised by Jengo to be a Mandalorian and then worked his way up the BH trade since he was a teenager. He slowly rose to be the most feared BH in the galaxy. I think they could have made him more powerful and just upped the threat levels. For example, his fight with the tusken... He got his ass kicked by one guy... They could of had him beat that guy... But then came another, and then two at once, then three at once... and he was just overwhelmed without his gear and being injured. And it would show that he was slowly earning the Tusken's respect with his feats and fighting spirit.
One thing to point out: you call the mayor’s representative the “daimyo.” This is incorrect. He introduces himself as the mayor’s “majordomo.” Daimyo, which hasn’t been used in an official Star Wars context until now, was used to describe Boba’s position (the same daimyo position held by Bib and Jabba previously). This will likely be a major thread this season-“what does being the daimyo of mos espa entail?” // “are there other daimyos within the greater Star Wars universe?”-since it doesn’t really make sense that Boba has all these people supporting him without Boba having something important.
daimyos usually served under a bigger lord, the "shogun". its likely jabba used to be the shogun. but after his death, his empire crumbled a bit, and bib fortuna merely rose to the title of daimyo again, while another crime lord claimed the title of shogun. either the mayor (very likely) or a yet-unnamed character. basically, while bib fortuna took jabbas spot in his syndicate, the new shogun took his spot in the larger criminal world as the biggest boss with the biggest empire.
The final scene felt like the kid was bragging about how he "slayed the monster" but he leader understood perfectly what had happened and that earned Boba his respect and acceptance.
Love the use of the Bacta Tank; not only does Boba *physically heal* when entering, overcoming his physical injuries, but also *mentally healing* as he pushes through his trauma and flashbacks. Really promising stuff so far.
Nailed it on the head with this comment you beat me to it. It connects us with Boba bc even though he's a badass who needs to physically recover, he's a being just like all of us and needs to mentally heal too
The episode was really great in my opinion, especially when it showed how Boba escaped the Sarlacc pit. The scene of him escaping genuinely had me creeped out. I'm glad Boba was able to get out of the pit, but just seeing what it was like in there gave me shivers. Think about it: You're barely able to move, the sight and smell of the decaying bodies and the sarlacc's organs, knowing that you are being slowly digested, etc. It creeps me the hell out. No wonder Boba had nightmares about it..
Well said!!!! Us older Star Wars fan's needed closure on the Sarlacc Pit escape and got the added bonus of the nostalgia flashbacks of Attack of the Clones! Keep up the AWESOME work!!!
That is if cad bane is alive anymore. I've seen people talking that he would be too old to be alive by the time this show takes the place. But i guess we'll see
For me I like the flashback parts more than modern day. It was interesting to see boba go from nothing and starting his journey to build himself back up again.
Cad Bane would be in around his 70's or 80's by the time of the show. His species supposedly has a similar lifespan to that of humans, so I don't think Cad would be strong enough to remain an active bounty hunter/rival for Boba, but I'd still like to see him in the show at some point; maybe as a rival crime lord elsewhere in the galaxy? EDIT: I was wrong
I like how this episode wasn't trying to be something huge or anything. It stayed grounded and made sure it knew from the start what it wanted to be and I really enjoyed that
I hope Dengar will appear in this series. I really like this character, as much as Bossk and Boba. I think they make wonderful bounty hunter trio. Imagine them fighting during finale!!
Fett being formally known to keep no friends, he has sure softened up as he got older. I wish we could see an interaction between Ashoka and Fett. That could/would be epic
@@dynjarren5454 the stuff with the Tuskens and his near death experience definitely changed him, probably why he was so welcoming and willing to help mando after retrieving his armor
I like that we're seeing a different side of the Sand People. They aren't mindlessly violent savages. They have a culture. It's very harsh, merciless and unforgiving, but it exists.
@@kevinoneil5120 IIRC Tattooine used to be a verdant green world. The ancestors of the Sand People were technologically advance. You managed to explain the fact that he didn't use his jetpack to flank the assassins in a really good way, thanks for making the episode better for me
Just rewatched the fight scene and I'd say the choreography is really good actually but the editing is rather choppy. I especially liked when Boba gives Fennec the knee to allow her to try and scale the shields lol.
the fights in general looked goofy and lacked impact. The mandalorian had way more convincing combat imo. Its not like john wick or smtn I know but the book of boba so far felt pretty campy xd
@@paulfear7860 I should specify that it’s the parts of the fights where contact is made. They don’t feel like there is any impact, and it just looks like they are tapping each other. Everything else generally looked good.
Knowing Dave Filoni, he’s likely been waiting his entire career at LucasFilm to have a live action Boba Fett versus his own creation, Cad Bane in a western duel like the unfinished episodes of Clone Wars… I doubt it would happen this season but if Cad Bane appears at any point in live action in this show (likely CG Duro face) and voiced by Corey Burton, I’d have a panic attack.
I think the biggest surprise to me was that the Gamorrean guards were actually competent enough to not only match but kill the enforcers attacking Boba and Fennec.
I said this on another video, but I thought it was awesome to see them be badass. Just like Boba in the OT, I think most of us assumed the Gammorreans were fairly ferocious, but they were relugated to being cannon fodder in the films. Really cool to see them getting a chance to live up to their in-universe reputation
Theory says they're dumb, but I believe the Gamorreans actually saw the ambush coming and intentionally held back so that they wouldn't be caught in it. I've always thought people saw the Gamorreans as dumb mostly because they can't speak, not because they're really all that stupid (or maybe these ones are just smarter)
I haven’t hung with any watch party because always busy. But I have been watching the breakdowns since mando season 1. You go into more depth about what happened in the episode. Keep up the good work. Love these!
Dude!!! This brought me back 36 years to the first time I saw Return of the Jedi… Wondering if Boba survived. I always figured he fixed his jet pack to get out. The fact that we’re getting to see more of the Sand People and especially the Gamorrean Guards is awesome! This series is gonna be great… Idk what else anyone expected but I can’t wait for the next episode!!
This episode was a sigh of relief. It felt true to the character while giving him depth. It felt small scale. And most importantly - it didn't feel like a Mandalorian clone, which is where I feared the show would be heading.
@@viktor1337w the opposite this fett holds no water to legends fett. Old fett is a merciless killer with his own code being the job gets done. Like the old fett torched a kid cuz he was a loose end. But this fett feels watered down
Just a thought, Seems clear that the placing of the credits in his Helmet was to prevent Boba from putting it on, Fennic even mentions her helmet isn't ''as shiny'', they didn't place them in her helmet as they might not of known her and her abilities, potentially showing the club owner might be in cahoots with the Mayor trying to prevent him from placing his foothold as Crime lord. Could be wrong but was the feeling I got.
Might also explain why he was given Republic in the palace make it look normal when he received them in the club, hope we do. Have a feeling he already knew that's why he ordered Fennic to take one alive. He might address it when interrogating in the next ep.
I liked it much more than I thought I would. Not much to complain. Everything the episode did, was done very well. Close to perfect. Favreau did a great job again. Greetings from Germany! :)
Seems like he’s learned something from the way the Tusken leader goes about leading his tribe, and is trying to do that as the leader of the underworld
Something you didn't mention - the Tusken who fights Boba uses the exact moves that Boba used against the Stormtroopers in Mando S2 to easily subdue him. It looks like some kind of martial art form that they have, and I think it's safe to assume that they're going to teach Boba how to fight like them. Hopefully we'll get to see a Karate Kid style training montage with Boba and the Tuskens in episode 2.
The creature that sat next to jabba should have his own show too... Let's get some back story on those jizzwailers in jabbas band. Disney so desperately trying to Retcon star wars back to revelance.. baby Yoda now boba isn't dead.. when's palpatine coming back..
Thank you for the synopsis. I am not a fan of this interpretation of Boba Fett, but delving into the lore and picking up certain points that I missed give me a better appreciation of the episode. I am happier with the episode after watching your video.
You hit the nail on the head with the mixed reviews. Everyone EXPECTED big explosions and guns shooting with no substance. Also about the nice Boba Fett, it’s him being humbled by all the trials and tribulations he went through. He’s been beaten, enslaved, swallowed, lost his equipment…
Right? Cause some people don’t have interest or have short attention span with no action, blaster fights, etc. could be other things lmao but this looks amazing!
The action felt weird and the lighting wasn't fantastic in some parts. I honestly don't get why though , they're using the same technology as the Mandalorian TV Show.
I didn't like aliens speaking basic/english and not Huttese at least, breaks immersion for me. Also something about twi'leks in this show really doesnt sit well with me. That first one asking for tribue felt so out of place, very unconvincing, like a guy with a wig. Same with the other ones in cantina.
@@uglynerfherder Because Robert Rodriguez directed and he is a bad director. The Mandalorian episode on Tython where Grogu was stolen was also directed by him and it was by far the worst episode (visually) in the entire series. Rodriguez has a terrible eye and is just a shit director in general.
The part when he’s escaping the Sarlacc Pit is awesome because we’ve seen comics of it but not live action we didn’t get to see exactly what he did to get out of there and also the flashbacks of the geonisis battle of his dad is emotional and it also shows how emotional he was towards the flashbacks and it’s just an awesome show so far.
8/10 is exactly what I would give it. A very decent start and I hope it will continue only improving along the way. I’m already excited to see what comes next!
Yea it was nice to see the inside of the sarlacc, but I agree it could've been longer. I'd have liked to see a longer sequence of him using his skills to get out. As it is it seems a lil odd that sarlaccs live for very long, seeing how "easily" boba was able to break free.
Also, strategically speaking, it's very smart of Boba not to start kicking ass and make a bunch of enemies in his weakened state. Possibly waiting til he's at full strength before engaging in all out war.
Or the other option is is his playing it calm, to "rule with respect" as suggested in the trailers. Likely the situation with the Mayor's power play will see Boba retaliate with full force, to set an example for anyone questioning his authority.
I think Boba is going to rule with respect for those under him, just do not double cross him. He probably going to be the scariest man alive for those that do.
@@andrewryan9655 well just like how they mentioned in the video, his injuries don't heal that quick. Even if 4 - 5 years have past. Boba still received significant injuries by the sarlaac and after the escaping the sarlaac pit, by getting dragged around by the tuskeens. I just can't wait for boba to get back to full strength and whoop some butt.
@osama's cat I do too, but we might as well give it a chance. I took the whole respect thing as conditional, a sort of "Don't mess with me and I won't burn your house down" situation
Awesome video, soon as i see boba came straight over to see your breakdown! Excited massively for this series, lets all enjoy it together! This is the way!
This pilot episode didn’t grab our attention like the Mandalorian pilot. But this episode was filled with so much sand service and so many throwbacks and looked and sounded and felt Star Wars. We have been so deprived of real Star Wars Content that I am just grateful to get genuine Star Wars material, new material! Because 95% of what Disney has given us doesn’t count and isn’t Star Wars to me. For those of us desperately want Star Wars to return to glory, we have to support content like this. A casual fan Might not favor the episode because it was a little slow and didn’t have massive battles and explosions but for the true Star Wars fans This pilot was very exciting and gives us hope. I’m so excited to see what comes next.
Thank you for the detailed review. One thing I noticed nobody brought up so far is that when Boba knocks out the Mastiff he respectfully "pets" it and carefully puts it on the ground. He is a true hunter who seems to respect nature and its creatures even if they are predatory. I really enjoyed the first episode. Time flew by so fast that I didn't notice how quick 40 minutes can feel. I think this alone is an indicator for the good quality of the show. I can't understand why some people didn't enjoy it because of the 'lengh'.
Honestly I thought it was a great episode. I was already interested in learning about Boba’s story after he fell in the Sarlacc pit. Glad we were able to see what happened and how he escaped. Can’t wait til next week.
This episode had almost everything for me. Connecting to the other stories, an action scene, setting up boba as the new daimyo and a cool parkour sequence. Fennec is very cool
I LOVED IT! I had a feeling of being emotionally charged by the end :D That is how you bring such a character in. Boba has a DEEP history in Star Wars, and to see it fleshed out this way was phenomenal. Temura is, as always, impeccable for these kinds of suffering, grim roles. Filoni and Favreau must be given giant budgets by Disney, and then left the hell alone. We fans will all be better for it!
It was nice seeing the Gamorreans not being just Rancor food for once. I also like how this whole episode was about Boba having to prove himself, both in his flashback and his current situation. Having to prove himself worthy to the Tusken Raiders to get water and be treated equally and also having to prove himself as the new Godfather/mob boss by gaining fear and respect. Overall I felt the episode was great, but it should've been at least an hour long, this was such a tease.
Thank you so much for this video, it really helped me understand the show more as I honestly was kind of lost and did not understand some of the references.
Temuerra Morrison absolutely nailed this. The look on his face when he fights is really terrifying. I'm looking forward to seeing how this show progresses.
He's paying tribute to the Maori warriors we had here in New Zealand hundreds of years ago, in fights they would fight using fear with very mean looking facial features to strike fear in the enemy. Morrison is always doing small things like this paying homage to our people keeping our culture alive which is quite Beautiful
Some people are complaining about how he seems 'softer' and all about respect as opposed to his usual ruthless self. For one he is currently weaker but I think the main reason of this is because he will learn of respect from the Tuskens. When he earned their respect and he got that water at the end of the episode I felt he maybe realised that the conflict between them was resolved because of the respect they gave to each other, creating a 'mutually beneficial' outcome. (Although I do hope we see some ruthless Boba)
LOVED this episode! Only complaint is I cant binge the whole season! I thought all the Flashbacks were dope and didn't really need anything crazy action packed. I also LOVE the Fennec and Boba combo, Ming-Na is amazing.
Yeah I heard from clownfish TV they won't be giving the entire season out on the account that people were unsubbing after people binged the seasons. That's pretty much what I did.
I loved it. Great vibe. The flashback of the Sarlacc played out exactly as I had imagined it when I was a kid. They did an amazing job of setting up this series and I can't wait for more! Also, the music was incredible.
Couldn’t agree more very beautiful episode, anyone whose mad about doesn’t know much about story telling. There’s story lines that needed to be closed first as well as esblishing a baseline for character development! Very well said.
Loved that Boba Fett finally has his own series so we can learn and see more about him can’t wait for the next episode and hoping we have more seasons as well
I enjoyed it to be honest, the people that didn't were expecting too much for a pilot episode, this episode was really necessary, I mean look at him escaping the sarlacc, that scene could have been longer but what we got is what some people have been waiting for for over 40 years.
Yeah Boba isn't a bounty hunter anymore so you can't expect it to be as if he were. He's running a crime family now which involves a lot more politics and interpersonal relations.
I loved the first episode. It was like getting everything I wanted, for once lol. Using the healing chamber as a time to show us how he survived was fantastic.
I don't know why people are shitting on this episode. Sure it wasn't a solid 10/10, but it was NO WHERE near horrible as others have claimed. Sure it wasn't the deep, detailed explanation that I was expecting, but it was far from horrible. Did they downplay Boba like others have stated?? No! The dude's been through a damn Sarlacc, without water, food, and rest! Of course he ain't at his top game! Overall I'll give it a 7.5/10. There was room for what I deemed as improvements, but I'm happy with what we got.
I loved this episode..as a kid i dreamed of what it was like for bobba in that giant worm! And they gave it to us.We know now how he escaped! Im so happy to be back to this!! Thank you for all you do man! 8/10
I watched this episode multiple times. At first I was put off by how Boba was portrayed. There is a long standing understanding that Boba Fett is one complete badass, a one man army so to speak. That legend has everyone skewed. So to see him vulnerable is a hard pill to swallow for most fans of Boba. My favorite comic book has Boba saying few lines and conveying his personality through actions; that is what I think people were expecting. Reality is you cant have a series without dialogue and after my re-watch I was able to see Boba's character development clearer. I let go of my preconceptions and let the episode sink in. The reality is that Boba was more than just ruthless; he was intelligent. Boba Fett had to be smart on top of ruthless to earn his standing and reputation in the galaxy. This episode was good and I am looking forward to seeing the next one; I am in agreement with your take on this episode.
100% agree with ur opinion. For me this was a A+ episode, like you said it covered what happened from Jedi on and a lot of plot holes that people speculated about and just weren’t too sure how he got free from the sarlac pit etc less they read it somewhere but to see his journey from there even in flashbacks. Loved loved loved it. Think this show will rock. Pray it’s a great start to 2022 and get rid of 2021
He also cut the bacta session he was in the middle of, I’m sure had he finished his session he would have been even more dangerous and possibly ready to chase them himself. Also, how great is it to cheer for a Gamorrean!?!
But why? I love the prequels, but that seems like too much fan service. Personally I think it only makes sense if we revisit Kamino only in flashbacks when Fett is recovering in his bacta tank. Even then I feel like it's pushing it when it comes to fan service, but it isn't overwhelming, yet.
Ngl, if he didn't already know it was destroyed, then what on earth has he been doing for 30 years... I doubt he'd not hear one single rumour of the place getting destroyed in that span of time. I'll admit, it would be nice to see him go back, but it wouldn't make sense to have him go back, it's not like it would be something he didn't know about, and if he didn't, then all it would do is leave more questions about how on earth he never found out in 30 years
I hope we see Cad Bane but in a flashback where it shows his duel with Boba that was never finished in the Clone Wars series, when he gets the iconic dent in his helmet.
I really enjoyed this 1st episode. I feel like this is going to be a slow burn for first several episodes then pick up on last few episodes. Can't wait for next episodes. great break down. keep up great work.
I love your recap and breakdown videos! This gives me memories of when you did this for the mandalorian TV show. Excellent work! Keep up the good content for us Star Wars fans.
It is completely transparent that this episode had Robert Rodriguez all over it. He's always had a style that includes over-the-top, campy, and corny elements to it. This episode really reminds me of Once Upon a Time in Mexico.
@@patrickk___ Something else I just thought of....what if they bring Omega into it? She is technically his sister, after all. Were they maybe foreshadowing by having Fennec Shand show up in The Bad Batch? I guess we'll see.
This was a solid episode overall. Personally I think the gang fight could have been better, it was probably the weakest part of the episode for me, and it was a little weird seeing the Tuskin Raiders use proper tents instead of their huts, but they are also a different tribe. Other than that, I really liked this episode.
I think a lot of the flashbacks to his time with the Tuscans will explain his present way of thinking in not having to be cold and ruthless at all times. And yes, maybe he also witnesses Mando teaming up with the Tuscans, earning their respect, and comes to more conclusions on how respect can win people over.
I’m gonna go on a limb and say that Boba learned the trade of negotiation and politics since the Tusken Raiders have multiple clans and do trade whether it is labor or goods.
I definitely gave this a 8 possibly 9 of 10 really nice and the flashback scenes made me feel like it was happening right after return. Very well done so far can't wait to see what's next.

AD!
He didn’t have the respect in the flashbacks and had to earn it from the tuskens, so he may believe he needs to earn it again now as the succeeding crime lord.
this is a really good take
Great analysis, I think this exactly what Robert Rodrigues and Jon and Dave intended.
That’s a really stupid take why would they destroy the character in the first episode

@@TheRealCozy Thanks! I didn’t know it had a name
@@roma8423 tbh I learned it like last year through Star Wars theory when season 2 of Mando came out
I love how when he says he was "left for dead on the sands of Tatooine" we think he just traveled the desert but this episode shows that he literally experienced almost EVERYTHING that the sands of Tatooine have to offer.
@@olicc at least he fails, unlike Rey
When I heard the word “daimyo” my mind went to feudal Japan.
daimyos usually served under a bigger lord, the "shogun". its likely jabba used to be the shogun. but after his death, his empire crumbled a bit, and bib fortuna merely rose to the title of daimyo again, while another crime lord claimed the title of shogun. either the mayor (very likely) or a yet-unnamed character. basically, while bib fortuna took jabbas spot in his syndicate, the new shogun took his spot in the larger criminal world as the biggest boss with the biggest empire.
You are correct sir!
The final scene felt like the kid was bragging about how he "slayed the monster" but he leader understood perfectly what had happened and that earned Boba his respect and acceptance.
That’s literally what he said in the video 😐
50 percent of me thought he was saying "My slave killed this monster" so he got credit or he was just taking credit.
Love the use of the Bacta Tank; not only does Boba *physically heal* when entering, overcoming his physical injuries, but also *mentally healing* as he pushes through his trauma and flashbacks. Really promising stuff so far.
“Get yourself some bacta delta”
Bacta is a miracle drug man
Nailed it on the head with this comment you beat me to it. It connects us with Boba bc even though he's a badass who needs to physically recover, he's a being just like all of us and needs to mentally heal too
It is called The Book Of Boba Fett aka his diary.
That gave me claustrophobia lol

Something you didn't mention - the Tusken who fights Boba uses the exact moves that Boba used against the Stormtroopers in Mando S2 to easily subdue him. It looks like some kind of martial art form that they have, and I think it's safe to assume that they're going to teach Boba how to fight like them. Hopefully we'll get to see a Karate Kid style training montage with Boba and the Tuskens in episode 2.

@@MaMastoast true..seems weird to get out of sand so easy. but we dont know everything what he did in there and how long he was there
Also, strategically speaking, it's very smart of Boba not to start kicking ass and make a bunch of enemies in his weakened state.
Why is Boba in a weakened state. Hasn't significant time past since he got out of the Sarlac Pit?

My favorite part of all Star Wars is how the Jawas are always there to take advantage of mishaps that befall people. They don't miss a trick!
I LOVED IT! I had a feeling of being emotionally charged by the end :D
That is how you bring such a character in.
This episode also explains how Boba had the Stick from the Sand people and how he fought like them in mando.
Great Video!

Some people are complaining about how he seems 'softer' and all about respect as opposed to his usual ruthless self.
Boba really honored his father Jango. Look up Jango Fett’s Codes, Boba is following every code in this episode! Pretty cool detail there!!
This episode was amazing, I didn’t expect them to show how he escaped like that, even those flashbacks are so cool
I love that none too subtle jab at the fans who always whinge about spoilers. Well done
5:43 Notice that they are riding single file to hide their numbers.
8:05 The Trandoshan Dokk Stassi is voiced by director Robert Rodriguez.
I really hope that they go to Kamino in an episode, Temuera Morrison would do a great job making an emotional connection for Boba Fett going to Kamino
Is anyone going to tell him?
@@ThePete935 I know Kamino cloning city was destroyed, that's why it would be a good emotional connection
@@T1ny_Boy fair enough
This healing chamber into flashbacks and all the parkour reminded me of assassins creed . The chamber is like the animus (game version of course) haha
Also a lot of the cinematography was like from dusk til dawn
@@JL0ndon absolutely. I was going to mention that one also and Desperado. I didn't think his style would fit. But turns out I love it.
@@austins80s same here! It really works!
Still holding out hope to see Black Krrsantan!! Hopefully Boba gets him to join his rule as Crime Lord!
Like to see Bossk, Dengar, Zuckuss, IG-88, and 4-LOM as well.
@@gspendlove Embo and Hondo also
@@patrickk___ Something else I just thought of....what if they bring Omega into it? She is technically his sister, after all. Were they maybe foreshadowing by having Fennec Shand show up in The Bad Batch? I guess we'll see.
This was a solid episode overall. Personally I think the gang fight could have been better, it was probably the weakest part of the episode for me, and it was a little weird seeing the Tuskin Raiders use proper tents instead of their huts, but they are also a different tribe.
Other than that, I really liked this episode.
I love how you took the time/effort to write within the description of this video, I'm excited to see where this show will go!
This episode was FANTASTIC!!! Favreau nailed it. 9/10
That scene where he grabbed the shock baton and just slowly stood up and killed the guy while never breaking eye contact was my favorite scene.
A solid first episode, excited to see where they go next!
I lobe your breakdowns Theory! Also ya I totally agree episode 1 8+/10!! I’m hyped af!!
I definitely gave this a 8 possibly 9 of 10 really nice and the flashback scenes made me feel like it was happening right after return. Very well done so far can't wait to see what's next.
The patrons refer to Boba as the new "daimyo". The mayor rep is a majordomo, a person who speaks or makes arrangement for another.
Also it's "Dai-mee-oh", "not "daimo".
