Wow, that's very fast deflating! Cool gear!
Are you not running TPMS in your Jimny? Is that not common in the ZA-market? I think it's almost in every car here in Europe.
I have used TPMS-box that simulates the signal, but it did not work 100% of the time for me in my 2021 Jimny. So I bought aftermarket valves with sensors. Still, annoying to get the warning message that you can't rid of until you air up again... :)
Keep up the good work with your informative videos!
    Thanks!
    Roger from Sweden.

Hi Roger thank you for the support. Our GLX range Jimnies in ZA dont have all the features like the European models have , so no tpm sensors or lane assist ect. I dont have tpm sensors installed , I also think they are annoying there are probally after market ones that just give the tyre pressures without the low pressure warnings , but I still prefer not to have them installed since they really dont add any benefit to me while driving on road or offroad , I trust in my experience to adjust tyre pressures according to the terrain I am atempting.

Just picked up a new Jimny in Auto. I am confused about something. When driving in 4L 4x4 should the auto be in D, L OR 2 ?

Hi HAL , for 4L select neutral on your gearbox selecter , then select 4L on your transfercase shifter , then select drive on your gearbox selecter.

Can you recommend a basic tool list for the Jimny, are there some regular used sockets and spanner sizes?

    • @justjimny

My spanner roll has from a size 6 metric upto a size 19 , that should cover most of the bolt sizes on the Jimny , I did not want to pick specific sizes since I have friends with other vechiles that 4x4 with me so I can also assist them if the need arrises. Then I have 2 sizes flat and star screw drivers that also fit in my spanner roll.

In SA there is this really cool wrench and socket kit you can buy from Ardendorf tools. it is a High quality set of Tools in a nice casing that you can fit underneath your Jimny driver seat.

@@barendbekker4901 Can you maybe share a link to the set , think other owners might be interrested.

Personal opinion. For the price of these.. and the ammount of "guess" work you still need to do.. Just get a Indeflate.. then you have control and can do 2 or 4 tires all at once.
At Midas you also get tire deflators. that you put on each tire. Cost you R60.. The only trick to them is you need to set them before hand. but once that is done you never need to worry again. when you deflate. by the time you put the last one on. the 1st one is finished.

The indeflate is very slow on deflation , and it takes up valuable packing space in your Jimny , these valves do take some getting use to when deflating , but is still really quick to deflate. I have come across the ones from midas , but they always get adjusted by the guys at the garages when they inflate your tyres.

@@justjimny Interesting. I have only seen the indeflate work on 31" and 37" tires,. and it was allot quicker and no guess work / counting that you needed to do .
as for the tire deflators.. the guys at the garage never put it to the correct pressure so I usually just do it my self, and still use the Tire pressure tool you shown in the video as I have found it stays correctly calibrated.. The RPV is a cool gadget.

The release of pressure is to fast , not suitable, the holes need to be smaller in the valve head to double the time , and give you more control.

Got a bit more practice in and the trick is not to remove the cap and just loosen it a bit , and then deflate.
