I love the way you are able to convert anything almost to beginner level I love the way you sing the chords into the words, makes it easy to play along with you.. I have checked out many guitar teachers on TH-cam. Spent hours with each one, and I always come back to ya Justin. You're the one. It's clear you have a genuine passion for what you do. And you seem to really care about your students. You're just a nice Dude!! So, I'm doing quite well I think, for someone who's only been playing now around a month. I just still have what I call "scale terrors". I can play them better than I did. But I really need you to tell me that some people can never play them like as fast and smoothly as you. When you are playing the scales with the metronome, and your talking and bobbing your head and playing them lightning fast, it blows my mind!! This is really stressing me. Anyway, Thank you so much for all your lessons. I have a folder in my TH-cam profile, where I have lessons of yours I practice everyday. I'm constantly adding to, as I review daily. You make it so enjoyable and doable!

I like Justin a lot, lots of energy and he actually plays the song before teaching it. I think that's the way to do it so we can hear how it is suppose to sound! Most people just jump into the tabs playing it at quarter of speed so it doesn't make sense to my ears! Props bud thanks for what you do

I know that this video is 10 years old but I had this as an assignment from my in-person lesson and watched three other online tutorials and Justin Guitar is by far the best. Thanks!

I really like the way Justin demo's the song he doesn't uum and arr between every other word like a lot of the other teachers do, he speaks clear and fluently he just seems to get the job done with words and chords you can understand, and I agree with a lot of the other comments, go for it Justin.

Can't get over how rock solid your timing is! Like a human metronome lol Watch some of your uploads for education and some just for performance. Please, keep posting bro

    • @acousticgazzband6812

Not having to pause to think of your fingering for the next chord has a big impact on timing. Being able to transition between chords seamlessly and almost automatically will do wonders for timing. How do you do that? The same way you get to Carnegie Hall, practice, man, practice (yes, I know it's an old joke but I like it and it happens to be true).

Thank you for the terrific explanation of the intro rhythm. I've been playing it for over 50 years and that strumming pattern has always eluded me. It's like rubbing your tummy while patting your head. The urge to downstroke on the 1 screws it all up by making the "4-and" stroke pretty superfluous. It is the absence of the 1 downstroke that makes the whole thing work, and accounts for the little hiccup once the drums come in. Only took me a half-century to find your explanation. Thank you.

  • @Mooseboy08

Justin, great lesson. The rhythmic sequence on the opening chord sequence eludes 99.9% of the guitar playing public.

Justin , when you play the G chord, Glen Frey uses a D on the second string ( what the Americans call a Big Kids G). Also in the intro goes C to C6 ( A note on the G string). Terry from Oz ( Adelaide). I've been playing Eagles songs since 1973.

Listening to you it's obvious that he intended it that way.I'll have to learn that intro again after playing it wrong for 30 odd years. Thanks for putting me straight buddy.
