I have collected a lot of these, and I wasn’t sure if they were painted. I’m always learning something new! I have sooo many very small ones as well, when I say small I mean like a pebble size!
The elephant like creature on this one reminds me of the mastodon head shape. The mammoths lived in the plains and the mastodon in the forest. Existing at the same time. I even have questions about the possible symbiotic relationship between the ancients and these creatures. Check out the Myanmar elephants sometime. Blows my mind how smart modern elephants are
@@FacesintheStone i live in Indiana and the similar effigies of mammoth that you have are represented as mastodons here more often but there is both as well.
