In some places, phone numbers are very easy to obtain, which makes it possible for robots to register and misuse.
Even if your phone operator has your KYC information, they will not share it with WeChat company. So the system can not determine your usage and purpose.
A simple method is secondary verification, which is to suspend your account and let you do a second friend verification.
So, foreign accounts are very easy to be suspended for some minor issues.

lots of things can make you temporarily restricted. like what I said in the video, changing another device, using VPN, or adding & trying to get in touch with too many people in the first few days.
on the other hand, temporary means you need to apply to reactivate your account. you need offer some necessary step, for example, "asking your friend to send some code to your Wechat number", or "scanning some QR code". you need to follow their auto instructions.
but as I said in the video, if you have no friends in your WeChat "friends", then no one can help you get unblocked.
