It doesn't even mess with the progress of the game expect being able to summon a solar eclipse earlier than normal 1-3 bosses (you only need to defeat one mechanical boss to allow a solar eclipse to be able to spawn)
I actually used this glitch to get into the temple pre hard mode and got demolished while in there

Me: this is a hoik in Terraria, a bug that was first discovered in 2013 but intentionally left in by the developers. And why? Well, it's because they're kinda fun. They're super simple to set up too! Take a wall, add some platforms, give each one a hammer and you now have a one-way wall system. You can actually take this further though. Place down a block and hammer it four times, and then replace that block with a platform. Now you have a platform you can speed through but you can't get back through the other side. And if you do this a couple times you can get an area where enemies can't touch you but you can shoot arrows at them. You can even use them to skip Plantera. Put a couple platforms against the temple door and hammer them once and you can walk straight in without a temple key. And if anyone asks you how do you do that, just tell them "this is a hoik in Terraria, a bug that was first discovered in 2013 but intentionally left in by the developers. And why? edit: yes i am aware of the loop feature on mobile (and that you can set it on PC as well) but when you watch a video for the first time you don't instinctively right click and hit loop

This is finally what I needed. I can't believe I died so much in Hardmode to those damn jungle enemies and all I needed was a Hoik

We would have one of our friends continuously going down into the dungeon to spawn as many as the game could handle. We had so many Bone Keys by the time we were done.

@@ZudinGodofWar are you asking how the hoik was set-up or how did we farm the Dungeon Guardians with it? As far as the first one, it was a long time ago so I couldn't tell you, but I'm sure you could find a tutorial somewhere. How we farmed them was myself and two friends staying inside the hoik throughout the whole thing while a fourth friend just ran down into the dungeon and died over and over. The DGs would fly up to us and get stuck in the middle of the hoik where they couldn't hurt us. Got like 70 keys doing that but they're gone now, sadly.

I think this is canon cause this explains how lizardmen got inside their temple and cant get out because they dont have the key.

I remember using this hoik back in the day to make loooonnnggg Trav-o-lator machines across the whole map. I used platforms underneath so I could just drop down off at any point or Z O O M across the whole map if I wanted!

Secret base enthusiasts: Everyone take notes
Props for looping it perfectly, again
Important notes: 1. In 1.4.4, golem cannot spawn unless plantera has been defeated
2. A hoik wall technically isn’t a wall of blocks, meaning the old ones army can be completely cheesed by building a couple of hoik walls
3. I recommend building a hoik box in the early game, as it makes things like blood moons and goblin army a joke

when you right-click on the video, you have the option "loop" you you dont have to press 0
or just right click and click loop

I've done the whole glitching into the temple. You still need to defeat plantera to be able to fight the boss. But you are able to get some good loot.

You cant actually skip plantera since you cant spawn golem in a world where plantera isnt defeated
Found one while playing recently, it makes you levitate 3 blocks in the air by having two blocks that you use to make waterfalls and in between a right slope.

For the wood platform hoik there is a very good thing about it bcuz when u make it projectiles can go through like the wall doesnt exist very useful for defeating enemies without getting hit
