The attorney said he was off his meds that’s why he attacked the judge so if that’s possible why didn’t he attack the two attorneys sitting next to him? I’m calling BS
This dudes Guilty, hes not "mentaly ill" hes not "crazy" dude saw the time he was gonna serve and he retaliated, this dude is a danger to the public and shame on his family for blaming a mental illness..
@@Theresa89 this dude was pissed at the judge and he retaliated at the judge, anyone with any common sense would see that, this is a slow guilty verdict. Mental Illness did not play a part here and I'm tired of people keep on blaming mental illness for others wrong doings..
Why is he sitting there uncuffed? I'm assuming he has leg cuffs on, but given the unusual circumstances, he should have wrist cuffs on too. He can keep his hands under the table if his 'image' is a concern.
I'm certain he has some kind of shock device on. They can easily hide that under his jacket and it gives officers immediate control without having to catch up to him to properly tackle him. They could not get this guy under control when he attacked the judge. It took multiple guys and a whole lot of brute force to get him to stay still. So a shock device is probably the best solution and that's likely what he's wearing. He would have to be front cuffed to sit there for hours in which case he could just use his cuffed hands as an amplified punch tool so I don't think it would even be safe to cuff his hands in this situation.
It's a bird, it's a plane, no... it's a defendant! That court clerk deserves a mad raise. The defense attorney does not....standing there watching everything like a square peg stuck in a round hole....SMH.

It wasn't the speed at which she spoke for me, a fellow ADHDer, but her erratic breaths and gulps of air. I agree, seemed like a bad case of nerves. If you're reading this (haha) prosecution get that woman a bottle of Rescue Remedy spray to soothe those rough edges.
Who knows if he had been stewing about killing her if he got the opportunity- he had the entire time the cuffs were being removed not just 3.7 seconds. How stupid.
Oooh this is a tough one! “Blame it on my lack of medication!” I don’t think it’s gonna fly but they should have included some lesser charge. This is how Casey Anthony got off!

@@sarahbethxoxo prosecutor here 🙋🏼♀️ it can be really nerve-wracking to present an opening statement, especially in an emotional, and in this case, high-profile case.
IMO if they have a diagnosis & are aware they are suppose to take a medication but do NOT take the medication then that is NOT a defense that’s a choice the defendant made so it should NoT be allowed to be used as a defense to a crime! It wasn’t important enough to take then so why is it a priority now esp after one assault already!!!

He isn’t a man because a real man takes accountability & doesn’t blame someone else for his actions nor put his hands on a female ESP a 62yo judge!
Personally, I've never understood the logic of expecting someone with a mental illness to take their medication, right dose, right time, etc. This is why mentally ill people used to be under supervised residential care, because they didn't have the mental capacity, couldn't be trusted, or were too vulnerable to take their medication, and they were a risk to themselves and others.
No offense, but WTH is wrong with the Out of breath, sloppy looking prosecutor!!! Holy Hell !!! ...he's guilty obviously, but, please Lady get some damn oxygen!
The charge of murder is ridiculous. That's the only charge I don't believe in. What he did was wrong and unacceptable. Don't say someone doesn't have a mental illness because you don't know.
He lucky he has his sister, she is the one who got him the nice suit and the good lawyers, besides that, he doesn't deserve prison but mental health facility
The prosecutor sounds so emotional during her opening. Like overly emotional, idk if she means to be or it's a result of stress from the cameras or something, but it fits the emotional content of her statement so I guess it's intended. And it's overdone imo to the point of being distracting. Cause yes we're here for a very serious case, very serious attack, but her tone makes it seem as if 10 toddlers died here.
In my opinion they should have put lesser charges... I find it very hard knowing he was supposed to be on meds and was not them to be able to find him guilty..
Imagine a scenario where no one stepped in to stop him, and the judge did not fight back. If he was allowed to have his way with her for as long as he wanted, what would have been the final outcome?
@@azrobbins01 he most likely would've killed her. He stated later that night that he tried to kill a judge. I personally think attempted murder is the proper charge. He will most likely be convicted and rightfully so. But I will wait for the evidence to come out.
