I have some questions, From what I understand there are more wires inside of the chips, There is a process of burning In a furnace, Then grinding chips Pulverizing them, Do you do this? Also are the wires solid gold as in 24 carat? What about all the other gold plated pens, Do you extract the gold from these also? If so do you have a video on this?
How about recycling the PCIe, PCI, AGP slots? How about the headers? They contain a tiny amount of gold as they are gold plated, probably not 99.99% pure but they at least contain way more gold than a piece of rock from outside.
It is plated on so those fingers and pins have pure Gold but you have to dissolve the base metals with hot Nitric acid first, rinse to remove the Nitric, then dissolve the Gold with aqua regia and precipitate the pure gold with Sodium metabisulphite, there are a number of videos about the process. He would have probably only got about double the yield of just the chips though and those acids are sometimes hard to get, quite expensive and quite dangerous, on this small scale it isn't worth it..
This might be a silly question but here it goes. Why not just smelt all the boards down to their core metals and then seperate the gold? Seams like it would be faster if you have a ton of boards laying around. All the wafer and other plastics would just melt and burn away no?

No. Mercury only forms an amalgam. You would only end with a mess of liquid and solid mercury as it attached itself to the metals that would still be on the board. Very unsafe and no result. Do not try this.
the motherboard has more gold in it than the chips, the memory sockets, the IDE pins, the CPU socket, the PCI slots are gold plated and that's where the gold is, there is very little in those chips.
The main chunk of gold lies in the RAM and processor not in the IC chips. DDR2&3 has the most . For every kg of these RAM you can extract 1-2 GMs of gold easy. Use nitric acid instead in the beginning then use aqua regia. Urea and finally sodium meta bisulfite.
IC and BGA chips are one of the best sources.But the best one is catalytic converters:there is not less than two hundred dollars worth of PGMs in the single unit,and some of them contain up to 3500 dollars per unit-at least that is my current personal record!

@@jamesmclaughlinprimitivele4587 I mean that I also did try to process a bunch of these e-waste things,was looking for old computer parts and things like that,and than spent a lot of time and effort to get gold out of them,and was either left with a very small profit or even without any at all but when I got my hands on cats-I was just amazed how much do they sometimes contain in their honeycombs!And although processing cats is much more complicated process but I managed to make it in the easiest and fastest way possible that also gives 100% yield from them!However it is quite dangerous way but I like it because in just one simple(but long and dangerous) step I am basically left with only PGMs powder at the bottom and none of them in solution:I am about applying 70% HF to bang ceramic crap and other useless poop which it does very precisely and accurately as nothing else,and so I basically decant that useless but dangerous solution after all in the barrel where I neutralise the remaining HF with simple sodium bicarbonate and wash my PGMs until there is no more HF left and than just have to deal with mixed powders being palladium,rhodium and platinum sponges! By the way that is simple as shit:first of all leaching all palladium with 70% nitric acid and separately precipitating it with DMG;and the rest of stuff goes in the hot aqua regia which I usually boost up by bubbling chlorine gas through it and either everything dissolves or just some rhodium is left;and from the solution I also first precipitate the rest of rhodium!So I just add sodium chloride and when reaction stops I evaporate all the liquid and so the remaining crystals of sodium hexachloro rhodate and all the rest of the stuff-so I dissolve everything except first 7 in anhydrous ethanol and so I am filtering all the rest of the solution and washing insoluble with ethanol,throw both in the melting dish and smelt rhodium in this way,and the last step is recovering platinum metal..I don't increase the amount of work any higher than necessary so I just burn the solution with ethanol and that results in platinum sponge embedded in some leftovers of NaCl and other stuff left from previous steps so I also simply dissolve everything in simple water,and than wash and smelt the powder..Anyway it's really not that difficult process I have to say..

Process the Gold bond wire with Aqua regia will probably be easier and cheaper..
