Just a heads up! You should have been able to get all the base metals with nitric, once your absolutely sure the base metals are gone, then go with gold flakes in a fresh beaker and aqua regia, also when your done with these reactions increase your water volume,,, putting urea, and sodium metabisulfite into a small volume of liquid like that can and will lock up your metals. Looking at the beaker you have I would put enough water in to fill half of the beaker but remember, always add acid to water, so fill another beaker to half way and then pour and spray down the acid into that beaker, then neutralize with urea, and then SMB, one more thing don't be shy with your borax, if and when done right it will crack of like glass it will not combine with your gold, silver, platinum etc.....................good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS, If you find the gold has a silvery look to it it, s because a lot of the older boards way back were plated with mixed metals like platinum, and unless you do your gold cold first, and then after retrieving your gold what will be left in your beaker most likely at that point will be platinum go after that by using some heat to get it to dissolve, there are fancier ways of doing it, but this will work for you until you really get going and reading others posts you will figure it out
