They are hard to start brand new yes, but for future what u want to do is since its a 4 stroke 3 will be easy 1 will be hard, thats the compression stroke do a not even half click on the compression stroke it will go down a little briong it back up to top dead center and give it one big/good kick all the way down
The reason it's taking ages to start is because it's brand new. 160cc engines are different to all the others. It will become more easy to start after the engine is run in.
Do get the tapets done because i got the race one of these and the tapets were very tightly done up btw when your kicking it over do one compression kick at the start but dont do it to hard then do your striking kick
You need to just keep turning over the kick start till it hits tdc should feel it become stiff, then give it a good one I have a wpb 140 rave took me a while👍 keep at it tho!
not a bitchy comment and ik this is 6 years ogo this video but learn tdc it wont kick back kicked from tdc and starts every time nice bike tho dude try wear some grippier trainers or even dirtbike gear aswell it aint worth the hassle when coming off these things road rash broken bones etc i always thought wont happen to me until it did lol hope the 160 is still giving you joy 6 years on
this may or may not help but if it was cold out try using the choke and if it wasn't too cold but was at least warm then i think you need to adjust the idle just some friendly tips that may help!
You have your valve that its poorly regulated buy valve tabs You put 006 intake is 007 to exhaust You will see your motorcycle will have a lot more responder is started normally after 3 stroke
