This is the best version of this I've heard. I've been looking for one that I love - and haven't found it until now. Generally they're way too fast - Ciccolini is an example of that. Check my version of the first 3 - maybe you'll like it. Let me know. Cool visuals btw.
Branka Parlic Rocks! When she plays the piano, I go into a dream and I am there playing the piano, knowing that I am one with the Universe...that is the affect she has on me. There are great composers, then there are great pianists and then there is Branka!
I love Erik Satie, I like hear his music when the weather is full of rain as today. When I see the place he was living, and his misery I would like to know why so much sadness in his notes. Maybe it’s the same of mine that I have sometimes. Your video is great and it’s a good view of what I’m feeling when I hear him, the time full of color and the speed . Erik Satie and you showed in your movement the time time escaping as a handle of sand.
oh my god! i found it! :D i just remember sad piano melody and many and many colours from fun fair. and that it was shown on some music television channel. i was looking for that all day! :D i'm so glad, this is really fantastic video. :)
Great stuff from Satie, didn't realize till I heard it that they used it a lot in Chocolat. Branka is great too, I like here Philip glass performances on youtube.
Great work, Charles. I too am from Nottingham and I've never seen the Goose Fair look beautiful - but you've managed it! The recital is one of my favourite pieces of music to be fair and the video compliments it beautifully. Cheers, Mark.
This may sound terrifyingly cheesy but I started tearing up when I heard this song. I have a love/hate relationship with this song. Memories are sometimes cruel. Beauty is sometimes agonizing.
This is the best version I've heard of this magical piece, I've been looking for it but can't find it can you upload it somewhere or sell it at itunes please?!

I know near 20 or 25 versions of the piece, and I think this is one of the three better versions.
Branka Parlic makes any composition sound better.

Have loved this dreamy music for many years! Film is a bit cliché tho.
Would have been nice to see the actual pianist playing the piece...but you've captured some excellent bokeh there!
@apeles thanks :)
@dobbie1820 I totally agree!

sunsetlightfull a guitar version was featured in the film "Chocolate" but it's a stand alone piece by famous composer Eric Satie.
