    All good advice with one exception. With the power and speed set as you describe in the ramp test you will indeed Identify an intensity focal point. However now run it again at more realistic engraving parameters , maybe 15%power and 300mm/s and you will get a different focal distance, maybe as much as 1mm different That will be the focus to produce the smallest dots for your image.
    With your dot test matrix you are doing a super job of teaching the masses to achieve great results without resorting to the many sliders in Lightburn ( I love Lightburn by the way). I admire the way you cunningly stress the importance of dot size and the compound lens to achieve better in another recent video. Excellent work

      Really appreciate your comment. I will try what you explained, and if it works I will make another video about it. I am pretty confident you‘re right, because that was a questionn I mentioned myself a lot. And probably it‘s also the cause of some „small but noticeable“ issues on some images.
      however, thanks again, really appreciate it, and I will try this right now :)

    I have an epilog 60wat and my dot it so small its off your chat..? Im hitting the activate button to fire the laser. I can hold it and make as large a dot as I want, but one click is .035mm or smaller. Is there a better way to go about this? I am in desperate need to perfect my photo engraving ASAP... 😢

    • @ImagR-Laser
      @ImagR-Laser  ปีที่แล้ว

      It‘s not possible to have a dot with 0.035mm.. probably you mean 0.35

    • @kissbutorstudio
      @kissbutorstudio ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cut out a 20x20mm square.
      Measure the missing part with a caliper.
      Also measure the cut out part.
      You divide the difference of the two by 2.
      you get the actual thickness of the laser beam.
