If you have access to a kitchen with a hob and pots/pans, the usefulness of such a gadget seems (to me) uncertain. My soup maker is the 2nd half of my 'kitchen'. The first half is an air fryer. I find the soup maker useful, I admit. Mine is a Morphy Richards Compact (1L).
That's a very good point and not something I had given much thought to! I have used ours more than I had thought I would. I commented in the video that you needed to be careful to stir the ingredients all the time that the Saute heat was being applied. Even though I've tried to do this, I have found that some 'burning' has taken place on the non-stick bottom, which now cannot be removed without damaging the non-stick. So, yes, it's very useful, but the Saute heat is a little bit fierce I think. Cheers, Chris
@@handyman-at-home The heating element for the sauté function probably has a hot spot, plus, as you said, it's on the fierce side. But even under the best of circumstances, frying things at the bottom of a kettle is an awkward thing generally. I do my 'frying' in the air fryer because I would abandon the whole thing fairly quickly if I had to fry in the soup maker.
Should have bought a Muphy Richards. Far better quicker and cleans with just a rinse.
👍 I’d have been happier to buy nothing 🤣🤣
Just bought this...thankyou for your vid!
Thanks. 👍
