Ordered a set of Terra Hunter XTs for mine, but your sidewall trim is cooler. I have a 2020 Ram Limited w/ the Black Appearance Pkg and must say your paint looks great. Seems to have less rippling than mine. Do you have a coating on the truck? If so, let me know which one. It looks natural and has nice clarity.
I saw another video with the venom tires and it looked good. I had a paint correction and polish to remove any imperfections, then a Ecocoat Kenzo 2.0 Graphene Infused ceramic coating. I also had xpel film put on the entire front end and mirrors. The ceramic coating make washing a breeze.
@@Kevinroy91 - I pushed the retailer to pressure the manufacturer because they wouldn’t balance. Had to hack them up with a grinder, but was eventually refunded and bought Cooper AT3 4S. Good middle ground between AT and highway tire.

When I had the vehicle I had no issues in the rain at all. Tires did great. I didn’t get any snow while I owned the vehicle. I had it for a little over a year before I sold it.
Appreciate the video, I was going for the AT3s but will reconsider. I've got a 2023 Longhorn 1500 with Air suspension and factory Off-Road package (so it's lifted a bit by 2 inches .. I think). Would you still recommend the same size tires as you have?
From all the research I did the 33s were the largest I could go without any modifications. Some people changed the levels so the air suspension could stay in the raised position to clear 35s but I didn’t want to do that. I liked the 33s on the factory 22 inch wheels.

We just bought a 2020 from a dealership around here with only 17,000 kilometres on it. The dealer bought it directly from Chrysler. It has a 6 inch lift with 35’s directly from factory. We pick it up the end of the week. I’m pumped to get this thing. Nice truck by the way.

I didn’t have to do any modifications. I just added the tries and everything else remained stock. I thought about 35s but it either required a lift kit or modifications to the air suspension to keep it in off road mode. So I went with the 33s.
I’m not sure without the air suspension. If your ride height is the same as the standard hight on the trucks with the air suspension maybe. Try going to a discount tire and ask them what they think.

I put about 15k miles on the tires and had no issues at at. If you have the air suspension I’d suggest the Mickey Baja boss 33s. It makes the truck ride much better. I sold the truck and purchased a TRX, so I can’t say how the tires perform with higher mileage.
I would think it should fit because the wheels are the factory 22 inch wheels. And given you have a 2 inch level, you should be good to go. You can always go to discount tire and ask them if the 33/12.5/22 tires will fit.
It can use exit/entry mode with no issues, but I have not driven in that mode with the tires. I believe it would rub if driving in that mode. I did another video showing the clearance in that mode.

Damn those tires look clean AF with the stock wheels. I have the exact same vehicle and am deciding whether to go with 35's or 33's and I think you just made my decision for me. The tread on the tire accents the design on the wheel keeping the focal point on the wheel and tire evenly.
Yeah I went with the 33s because I didn’t want to have to modified the suspension to fit 35s. I’ve seen the leveling links that keep it in off road 2, but I was told the ride isn’t as smooth.
Love the black. I had it ceramic coated and xpel paint protection out on it. At a minimum I’d recommend the ceramic coating. It starts with a paint correction to get all of the imperfections out, then a polishing compound. Once the coating is applied it will shine like a diamond. You won’t go wrong with black if you do that. It also makes cleaning it that much easier.
@@ninety6sixty4 I researched doing the ceramic coating, there’s so many to choose from, which one did you end up using? I haven’t heard of the xpel…? For the ceramic, I chose to order artdeshine product. Says 7yr, but who knows

So far no issues to report. Just hit 5K miles on them. As I show in the video, once I pushed back the inner fender liner I was goo to go. I’m going to get them rotated tomorrow, if the technician finds any rubbing or issues I’ll be sure to let you know on this comment. I just posted another video showing a few more upgrades I’ve done to the interior lighting and adding some subwoofers.
@@csprinker I know how you feel. The stock tires aren’t any good. I sold mine to discount tires and got $200 off my new tires. That was the only thing there were good for.
@@peaceful51 maybe so. I’m not sure if it came with the “bed utility group” or it’s a feature on the limited. I’d try a quick google search to see if you can find one cheaper than the dealer.
@@peaceful51 I would get their price and find a well respected audio shop on your area and see who has the better pricing. I had a backup camera installed on my 96 Impala that connected to the radio in the dash I added. So I’m sure it wouldn’t be an issue for your truck.
I haven’t noticed anything different. I cannot say for sure if it’s been affected. The truck seems to have the same amount of power when needed. The ride is much better with the wider tires. The truck feels more planted to the ground. I think if you decided to go with them you won’t be disappointed.
I’m not sure. This truck has the air suspension. My assumption would be if it has the same clearance as the limited at normal ride hight it should be good to go. My suggestion is to go to discount tire, if one is near you, and they can tell you if it will fit your truck.

What have you seen with them? I have Nitto Ridge Grapplers now and am not a big fan. I'd prefer nothing more than a very quiet hum like I had with my cooper rugged treks.
@@davidcarron2328 in my experience they are quiet. I’ve run them at 43-45psi and they have been great. I also have a set on my wife’s 2021 Tahoe and they are great on there as well.

I had 285/45/22's Terra Hunter XT's and only lasted 37,000kms on the rear. No available warranty. Did yours last long?

I didn’t see a noticeable hit to the MPG. If it did do anything I’d say maybe from 16mpg to 15mpg

I haven’t went through one of those car washes with this truck. If I do an automatic carwash I do the touch-less ones that circles around the vehicle.

Did you have to recalibrate the speedometer and/or steering after the 33's were installed?
No I didn’t have to do anything. The tire shop said they weren’t a large enough tire to require a recalibration and the steering wasn’t affected.
What do you use on your truck it is clean. Regular car wash? Or ceramic coat?
It has a 1 stage paint correction and an IG ceramic coating on it. I wash it with Adams Graphene Shampoo and apply Adams Graphene CS3 afterwards.

Yes I purchased them through discount tire and they gave me $250 for the factory tires which was applied to the purchase of the new tires.

no it didn’t require any spacers. Those are the factory 22s that came with the truck. Just added the tires.
Do does tire sidewall offer some protection for the rims againts, curbs, etc or will it damage tom your ocasional curb?
yes the rim sits inboard to the tires so there is protection there.

Ties are holding up well. I have about 14k miles on them so far. I’ll be getting them rotated either this week of next week. I highly recommend them.

Damn those tires look clean AF with the stock wheels. I have the exact same vehicle and am deciding whether to go with 35's or 33's and I think you just made my decision for me. The tread on the tire accents the design on the wheel keeping the focal point on the wheel and tire evenly.
Yeah I went with the 33s because I didn’t want to have to modified the suspension to fit 35s. I’ve seen the leveling links that keep it in off road 2, but I was told the ride isn’t as smooth.
Were the rims 22x12 or 22x10?
They are the factory ram wheels. I believe they are 22x9

Love the black. I had it ceramic coated and xpel paint protection out on it. At a minimum I’d recommend the ceramic coating. It starts with a paint correction to get all of the imperfections out, then a polishing compound. Once the coating is applied it will shine like a diamond. You won’t go wrong with black if you do that. It also makes cleaning it that much easier.

For the ceramic, I chose to order artdeshine product. Says 7yr, but who knows

They ran the best in the rang of 41-44PSI.
Any swaying issues?
No issues at all. The truck rides great, better than the factory tires. I have 10K miles on them now and it’s been perfect.

So far no issues to report. Just hit 5K miles on them. As I show in the video, once I pushed back the inner fender liner I was goo to go. I’m going to get them rotated tomorrow, if the technician finds any rubbing or issues I’ll be sure to let you know on this comment. I just posted another video showing a few more upgrades I’ve done to the interior lighting and adding some subwoofers.

@@csprinker I know how you feel. The stock tires aren’t any good. I sold mine to discount tires and got $200 off my new tires. That was the only thing there were good for.

@@peaceful51 I would get their price and find a well respected audio shop on your area and see who has the better pricing. I had a backup camera installed on my 96 Impala that connected to the radio in the dash I added. So I’m sure it wouldn’t be an issue for your truck.

I haven’t noticed anything different. I cannot say for sure if it’s been affected. The truck seems to have the same amount of power when needed. The ride is much better with the wider tires. The truck feels more planted to the ground. I think if you decided to go with them you won’t be disappointed.

I’m not sure. This truck has the air suspension. My assumption would be if it has the same clearance as the limited at normal ride hight it should be good to go. My suggestion is to go to discount tire, if one is near you, and they can tell you if it will fit your truck.

@@ninety6sixty4 So I'm supposed to get them put on next week. I've heard some say they're quiet and some people say they're the roughest A/T tire and loudest that they've ever seen. What have you seen with them? I have Nitto Ridge Grapplers now and am not a big fan. I'd prefer nothing more than a very quiet hum like I had with my cooper rugged treks.
@@davidcarron2328 in my experience they are quiet. I’ve run them at 43-45psi and they have been great. I also have a set on my wife’s 2021 Tahoe and they are great on there as well.
