Haha, wow, that's a big missed opportunity from my side right there. It makes me happy you like the puns and think along 😂 Thanks for watching the video. Cheers, Tony!
I did indeed enjoy! My wife makes cheese and she has made Gouda before and it was delicious. I was fortunate enough to spend two months in the Netherlands back in the late seventies. I probably ate my weight in Gouda cheese while I was there. Well done!
@@TonyNeedsHobbies I was at Soesterberg Air Base. I spent a lot of time in Zeist. I was in the US Air Force at the time. I was able to see a lot of the country and some really cool places. I found the Dutch people to be very warm and welcoming, especially the older people. Amsterdam was like nothing I’d ever experienced before. I probably literally ate my own weight in Gouda cheese. My favorite place was Volendam. It was the most picturesque place I’ve ever seen in my life. So many great memories. Thank you for your reply. Kind regards, Robert in Alabama. P.S. Sadly I don’t remember any Dutch. One fond memory was in a pub in Zeist drinking a few beers and the bar tender was playing a Bobby Vinton album. Every time a new song came on all the older Dutch men would turn to us and sing the first few words. They also kept buying us beer until we were well lubricated. The memories keep getting better with age. Take and happy cheese making to you!
@robertlassiter907 That's so cool! I've always wanted to become a fighter pilot in the Royal Netherlands Air Force but after going through selections twice I didn't make the cut. At the time they did a large part of selections in Soesterberg so I've been there quite a few times. These days the base is decommissioned. They build a great air force museum on the location and you can do really nice nature walks on the old base. We're you flying yourself or supporting? Cheers!
@@TonyNeedsHobbies I was an aircraft electrician. At the time I was working on F-15’s but later I worked on F-16’s. I did get to fly in a F-16 while based in Korea. We also toured the Fokker factory where they were making the center section of the F-16.
Amazing! Great to hear you got to fly in an F-16. And the Fokker factory tour sounds awesome. I've only found out last week that Fokker was licensed to build F-16s. What a coincidence 🙂 Cheers!
Entertaining lol, instead of mmmm I thought y’all were gonna say that was gouda during the taste test lol. Nice work!

You made it so simple and clear to me I will try this
Glad I helped a bit. Did you already try to make some Gouda cheese? Greetings from Holland, Tony!
Awesome, looks so delicious, thank you for sharing!
Thank you Aveya! It indeed tasted very good for a young cheese. Thanks for watching! Tony

Hi Robert, That's great to hear! In what town did you stay and do you remember any Dutch? Groetjes, Tony
